Football fans were quick to poke fun at Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois' goal blunder for Belgium against Russia on Thursday.

The Red Devils were taking on the 2018 World Cup hosts at the Heysel Stadium.

Both teams were contesting their first qualifying game for the 2020 European Championship, and it didn’t take long for the match to open up.

Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans opened the scoring 14 minutes in after a sweeping team from move from Belgium.

The 21-year-old picked up the ball outside the area and played a shot past Guilherme Marinato.

But Roberto Martinez’s side found themselves level two minutes after, though following a terrible blunder by Courtois.

The former Chelsea keeper, who refused to train at the club in order to push a summer move to Real Madrid, dawdled on a ball on the edge of his box.

Not electing to thump it upfield, Artem Dzubya closed down the shot-stopper, forcing him into a nervous poke which gifted Denis Cheryshev possession.

Sergio Ramos has yet again showed off his skills in training and is currently with the Spain national team for the international break.

Despie his great performances in defence, Ramos is also good in attacking positions which shows from his penalties for both club and country.

At the start of the season, with usual free-kick taker Cristiano Ronaldo sold to Juventus, he even took over set-piece duties for Real.

That habit has since died off, but Ramos seems keen to show he has the knack for hitting the back of the net from free-kicks.

During a training session with Spain over the international break, he lined up a pair of shots from outside of the box.

Ramos then had absolutely no difficulty putting them into the top corner of the net, even selecting a different corner each time.

​Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho has won the 2019 Goal NxGnaward, an prize handed out each year to the best player in the world aged 19 or under.

Having made the switch to Germany from Manchester City in the summer of 2017, Sancho has firmly established himself in Dortmund's first team this season, scoring nine times in all competitions and earning asenior international call up.

He beat the likes of Real Madrid pair Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes to the prize, as well Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi and ex-Manchester City teammate Phil Foden. In total, there were seven British talents named in the top 20.

"There are a lot of great players my age out there and to be chosen as the best player of NxGn is really good for me and for my family," a proud Sancho said.

Arsenal loaned Goalkeeper David Ospina has been discharged from hospital after collapsing during Napoli's Serie A match on Monday.

The Colombia goalkeeper underwent a scan after cutting his head in a collision with Udinese winger Ignacio Pussetto at Stadio San Paolo.

Ospina, who is on loan at the Serie A sidefrom Arsenal, received treatment on the pitch and initially played on before collapsing just prior to half-time.

The 30-year-old spent the night under observation and Napoli confirmed furthertests came back clear.

Ospina has withdrawn from his country's upcoming friendlies against Japan and South Korea as a precaution.

"David Ospina was this afternoon discharged from the clinic where he had been admitted last night for a series of investigations and specialist visits," read a Napoli statement.

"All tests are negative. The visits [ruled out] any problems.

"The player has been advised to have a few days off and will not respond to the call-up of his national team."

Former England and Manchester United football star Wayne Rooney scored three goals on Saturday (March 16) night to lead D.C. United to a crushing 5-0 victory over Real Salt Lake.

The 33-year-old registered his first three goals of the new season and also his first hat-trick since signing moving to Major League Soccer in July 2018.

Lucas Rodriguez and Ulises Segura also scored for the hosts, who peppered the Salt Lake goal with 22 shots.

Goalkeeper Bill Hamid made two stops to earn his third straight shutout as D.C. United are the only team to have not allowed a goal this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo is facing a ban from UEFA after he allegedly shouted "son of a bit**" at Atletico Madrid Fans In the Champions League win.

Ronaldo bagged a hat-trick as Juve came from 2-0 down on aggregate to win 3-2 in Tuesday's last-16 Champions League tie.

His third, from the penalty spot, came in the closing stages of the second leg and sparked wild celebrations among the Juventus players and fans.

And Ronaldo appeared to be venting plenty of frustrations at the away supporters, having previously played for their city rivals Real Madrid.

Ronaldo was picked up on Vamos de Movistar cameras, and Spanish lip-readers claim the 34-year-old was shouting “hijos de puta” (sons of b******).

The superstar could now face a ban fromUEFA, especially when paired with his celebration.

The Juve star grabbed his crotch, like Atletico boss Diego Simeone did after the first leg.

Ronaldo appeared to aim his gesture at the travelling Atletico fans, something the La Liga club are believed to not be best pleased with.

Simeone was fined 20,000 euros (£17,000) for his gesture for improper conduct.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has on Friday confirmed plans to launch na expanded 24-team Club World Cup.

MySportDab reports the new tournament will be staged in June-July 2021 instead of the Confederations Cup.

"I am very happy," Infantino said after confirming plans for the tournament.

However, The European Club Association has said none of its teams will take part in a 24-team Club World Cup in 2021.

The ECA expressed its concerns this week in a letter to FIFA President Gianni Infantino ahead of a decision whether to replace the current seven-team annual Club World Cup, which is played in December.

The ECA Executive Board wrote:

"It is against any potential approval of a revised CWC at this point in time and confirm that no ECA Clubs would take part to such competition.”

The ECA represents 232 clubs in Europe.

Chelsea fans now believe they can win the Europa League after being handed a favourable route to the final in Baku.

​Former Manchester United player Patrice Evra has shared a screenshot of his personal messages with Cristiano Ronaldo, before the forward's star turn in the Champions League last 16 comeback against Atletico Madrid, exhibiting all of his supreme confidence.

Juventus were 2-0 down on aggregate afterthe first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano and staring down the barrel of an ignominious exit at the first knockout hurdle.

However, despite notching just one goal in his previous six European appearances, the 34-year-old showed up when it mattered to net the hat-trick that sent his side through against the odds.

UEFA have ordered an investigation into the words PSG forward Neymar Jr used about match officials after the club lost 3-2 against Manchester United in the Champions League.

The Brazilian used Instagram to aim an expletive and insults at video review officials who intervened before Man United was awarded a stoppage-time penalty for handball that eliminated PSG.

Neymar wrote: 'This is shameful!

'And they still let four guys that do not understand football look at the slow motion video, this doesn't happen!

'How is he going to take his hand out when he's on his back!

'Oh go f*** yourself.'

Neymar, who was injured and did not play, then used profanity while writing about the video assistants.

UEFA have said it "appointed an ethics and disciplinary Inspector to conduct an investigation" of the social media comments.

The Portuguese star scored a stunning Hat-trick to help Juve overturn a two-goal deficit in the second leg.

Ronaldo netted a header in each half to bring the tie level on aggregate before a late penalty sparked jubilant scenes in Turin- especially among his own family.

Ronaldo's long-term partner, Georgina Rodriguez, looked stunned after watching the former Real Madrid man slam his spot-kick past Jan Oblak in the 86th minute.

After taking a moment to catch her breath, Rodriguez couldn't help but let her emotions get the better of her and she cried tears of joy in the stands of the Allianz Stadium.

Arsenal got a controversial penalty in their 2-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday - but did Alexander Lacazette dive to win the penalty?

Arsenal were leading 1-0 at the Emirates midway through the second half when the incident happened.

Lacazette ran into the box and was brought down by Fred.

The United midfielder walked away from the incident - seemingly believing that Lacazette had just lost his footing after knocking the ball forward.

But referee Jonathan Moss gave the foul and the penalty.

This is the moment an Arsenal fan ran onto the pitch and confronted Manchester United defender Chris Smalling during yesterday's clash at the Emirates.

Arsenal had just scored their second goal of the game through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

And as the Gunners were celebrating the goal - a fan seemingly from the Arsenal endran too the pitch and went towards Smalling.

The supporter appears to run towards Smalling and into the centre-back, before then running off to celebrate with theArsenal players.

​A spectator stormed the pitch during Birmingham City's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at St Andrew's on Sunday, throwing punches at Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.

With just ten minutes on the clock during the match, a fan jumped the barricade and ran onto the pitch, attacking Grealish before being dragged from the pitch by security.

Seemingly unfazed by the incident, Grealishwent on to net the winning goal to give his side the last laugh.

News of the incident came from ​BBC Sport, who discussed the incident during their live commentary of the game.

They wrote: "A supporter runs on from the stand behind and attacks Grealish from behind with a swinging arm. Idiot. Absolutely shocking scenes there as that man is led away very swiftly to be dealt with by the authorities. Absolutely no need for that."
