Don't rush to secure an uncompleted building.Take your time. Such buildings will never be completed because of you. They assume you will take care of the rest. And you will. |
FYI - Somolu as a whole, is a security risks. So why pay sooooo much to get mobbed, robbed, and terroriEd? Police are doing what they can but I can tell you this much - no matter how tushed the building you are leasing is esp. around bariga, bajulaiye, you must always watch your back - day or night! Our so called agents will never tell you that! They will never tell you the history or culture of a place. They will never tell you if the place is a constant target for gangs or thieves. They know absolutely nothing! Where the nearest police station, hospital, religious places are or even when the house you are relocating to was first built (if its renovated) They do nothing except collect money! And more money. |
Who the hell decided to remove the bathtubs in all our newly constructed flats? A nice way to cut cost and squeeze us in! By the way - A shower is for a quick rinse while a bath is when you deep cleanse properly. You bathe at night then shower in the morning. Does anyone care anymore? |
Agents and Land-owners are exploiting young couples seeking to start life in a room and palour self contain by charging almost the same rate as a standard 2 bedroom flat! They call it 'the-in-thing'. Its called an affordable 'mini flat' for a reason! Gosh! When will this nightmare end! |
Lawyer is doing his best to keep us informed about properties. Let's also play our part. Insist on seeing the place (with or without the agent), (without agent will save you the cost of transport anyway), if its ok then call agent to start the process of securing the apartment. Don't pay jack for form or whatever. That is why you are paying agency fee! |
I feel its time for those of us searching for apartments - rent, lease, buy or whatever Come together and decide on some serious issues. Agents and Land-Owners are using our desperate need to find a home to cheat us. First Serious Issue: N1000-N2000 naira are been charged by Agents to 'sight see'. When has house-hunting became a tourist attraction? Second Issue: Why pay rent, caution fee, agency fee, commission fee etc and still 'fix' the apartment? There are a million and one issues I am sure you are facing right now regarding renting an apartment, puh-lease table them. It is time to end this madness. |

Gold Diggers She be miner? Lol!On a serious note: lets cast our minds back to the past when women only love for LOVE. 1. She suffers through hardship with him 2. Prays and fast daily for God Almighty to help him find his feet. 3. Sometimes do unmentionable things 'so he can eat, cloth and have transport fare for occasional running around' 4. Gets beaten by him but takes it as frustration 5. Even rebukes her family for telling her to move on and so on When he lands a contract or a good paying job [probably thru her connections]. How does she get repaid? She's treated with disrespect and cast aside... replaced with a fresh, younger looking babe! Truth is guys don't like to be reminded of their past failures... So they leave the ones that knows the truth about their wealth and Pick new people that worships them because of it! Ladies learned from her ancestress mistakes and swore NEVER AGAIN! .... that's what guys call GOLD DIGGING _ Today! ![]() [size=16pt]MEN ARE TO BLAME![/size] |

EVENTS THAT HAPPENED LEADING TO OLUDAMILARE AKINLOSOTU DISAPPEARANCE!!! This was how a friend explained it to me... Akin worked at two places as a bouncer. He mingles with high profile celebrities and sometime follows them to different states as their bodyguard. As a bouncer, he was popular himself. That fateful sunday [two weeks ago], he arrived at ecentre and starting picking fights with everyone in sight! No one noticed anything amiss! He was temperamental and aggressive. Telling anyone [esp clients] standing on his path that he would kill that person. [which was unlike him] His colleagues were trying to calm him down as they thought he was just angry about something, then he left suddenly in a cab and was never seen again! A week later, [thanks to some nairalander's leads] his friends and family went to various police stations, one police officer claimed to have seen him when they showed them his pixs. [sorry if my grammar is confusing, am very sleepy but I need to type this before I go to bed] They said a taxi driver brought AKIN to their post saying he refuse to pay his cab fare, they 'police' ask Akin to empty his pocket and discover that he had nothing on him. They pleaded with the driver to let him go as he obviously had no money. Taxi driver left. Akin left the station too. Five minutes later, he came back. They asked him what he wanted, he didn't say anything just stared at them and then left again. All the while he didn't alter a word! He looked confused and disorientated. That's when I think it occurred to them [family] that Akin is really NOT in his right senses! People keep calling to say they've seen him here, there, everywhere but no real leads. We're still searching but at least there is hope... he's alive Thank you wonderful people. [Pls bear with me, I have to go to bed now, I'm exhausted!] to be contd... |

This should be a lesson for the rest of us. No matter our age, gender or status, lets keep our loved ones abreast of our whereabouts at ALL TIMES esp. during this festive season. Text someone your last location, the details of your host - names, cell nos, emails etc I do that with my family [although they call me paranoid ], they still give me the info, even my parents!'I'm a big girl, I'm a big boy, I can take care of myself' is just foolish talk. Cos when it happens, its our families that will bears the brunt of the pain and burden: we're talking financial, emotional and otherwise. Evil respects no man, woman or child... lets be cautious! |
Its over two weeks now and we are still searching... for OLUDAMILARE AKINLOSOTU [slowing losing leads...] Little resources, little manpower and not enough information. [We feel very frustrated... if it were a 'RICH MAN'S SON' the authorities would have found him by now!] OH LORD, PLEASE GIVE THE FAMILY [POSITIVE] CLOSURE!!! AMEN!!! |
The Police don't have a data bank, so we literally have to go to each station to ask questions. Meanwhile, we didn't see any madman around that 1004 Estate but we're still searching the area maybe he wandered off... We're keeping our fingers crossed! Thxs Nairalanders, you're the best! |
God bless you all but we're still looking... |
