Some of the earnings I see here doesn't tally with my reality as a bolt driver in Benin. I started doing this last month. I use 25 litres daily on big daddy. I gross 20k average. Bolt takes 4200, fuel 5k. I'm usually left with 11k. This is average, sometimes it's slightly more.

Now that same 25 litres is 12500, we buy 510 in Benin. With this new pricing, I might gross about 23k. Bolt and fuel is 17k. So I'm toiling all day for 6k?

Bolt drivers who still work in Benin are those who renegotiate or beg passengers to top up for them. I didn't start driving bolt to become a beggar. Facing my normal hustle for now till things make sense again.

I am a bolt driver in warri and mine is 7k net. I use half thank 5k to work 14k in app remove bolt commission and 5k for fuel. Right now it's zero I make. For a 30 mins drive the highest bolt gives is 2500. Bolt in warris depressing

The major problem i see here is you not having time for your passion. Here is my little advice as someone in thesame shoes as you. Use your 2m to go into transport buy a keke or a car for uber. You are still single so you dont need to work alot its flexible for you and transportation is lucrative thats if you are not ashamed.

There are different dispensations in the Bible..

Patriarchal age.. This comprises of when God speak to the father like Abraham, Isaacs and Jacob. During this time the instructions was limited to particular family and generation.

Mosaic age. This is the period when God gave the law to the children of Israel.. This period continue and ended at the death of Christ ( Romans 10:4, Hebrew 10:1, Galatians 3:23-26,

Christ live on earth under the law given to Moses ( Galatians 4:4)

However his death brought an end to the law and the beginning of a new testament..

Condition for a testament to be enforced is through the death of the testator in this case Christ.( Hebrew 9:15-17)

I believe (and the OP can correct me if I'm wrong), he is saying that there's much more to being a Christian than just doing "good works". One must answer to the claims of Christ, surrender, be converted and allow Him to be Lord of His life. It is not about the person...but rather Christ.
"Good deeds"-- giving to the poor, donations, enriching folks' lives financially, education-wise etc., should be the result of an expressed gratitude of what Christ did on the Cross and through our converted or regenerated lives...and should be done with pure motives. It's not always a good thing or God thing to publicize our "good works"....
The genuine fruit of the Spirit is the evidence of a changed life in Christ.
Just as important are keeping the Lord's "10" commandments...honoring Him first then one's fellow man.

It is extremely easy for people to believe one thing based on limited perception. Even our own hearts we do not fully know...mercy.

However, the Word of God outlines how a sincere follower of Christ is to live....
When we do things or live contrary to the Word, our lives (no matter what position we may hold in Christianity) become questionable for some, not for another group and indifferent to more. However, in God's eyes, living contrary to His Word is total disobedience...which God will not honor...regardless if people do.
Not everyone is a disciple of Christ just because he/she "said" or"says" so.
Doing "good deeds" also does NOT automatically qualify one for the Kingdom. Christ examines motives....however a humble, surrendered and obedient heart is mandatory for being His disciple. Even if mistakes are made, the Lord knows the true intentions.
If a person continually, deliberately or in ignorance engages in "bad deeds" (anything opposite of God's character), then it's clear that he/she has not been converted by the power of Christ....and needs to be introduced to Him and changed.

For those who have nasty things to say about drug addicts, please don’t.
Yes it’s unpleasant and painful especially to their family members. But being a drug addict is more than just a habit. It’s like someone else moved into your brain and took over the controls. It’s a mental illness that requires medical management like all other mental illnesses.

They do not have a choice (except at the beginning before they started doing the drugs) but when they are hooked on it, they have no control anymore. It’s something that stays managed (like HIV) but can’t be cured (as of yet). Maybe with progress in medicine the future might be different. But for now, reserve your judgment please and show compassion.

OP as for your dad, his heart might be in right place but you’re right: his timing and delivery needs work. What’s the point of saying the proper thing if it has no effect based on how you say it and when you choose to say it?
