Family / Re: Should A Married Man Help His Pregnant Wife by MzBabs(f): 8:51pm On May 15, 2010
If she wants or needs his help, he should be there to support her in any capacity that's needed. The woman won't always be pregnant, but she may always remember- it would be a shame if he were to lose his place in her heart over something so easy to do.

*Think about it gentlemen!

Music/Radio / Re: Do You Think Any Nigeria Musician Can Win a Grammy? by MzBabs(f): 8:35am On Mar 20, 2010

Family / Re: I'm Having A Baby! Any Yoruba Name Suggestions? by MzBabs(f): 5:44am On Mar 09, 2010
Thank you ALL  for your help ooooo!
It is greatly appreciated.  I especially want to thank those of you who took the time to write explanations. I do not take them for granted.  I was thinking though, are there any names that reflect  a lack of fear, and something that would speak of boldness in adversity.
And even, what is the Yoruba word for fear.  At least if I know the right word, I can do some research on my own.  Thank you a million times nairalanders.   I'll keep you guys posted.

Oh, BTW, I don't mind the Grandparent's involvement. I'm even a little excited about it.
Also, I don't want to name my child just so he/she "fits" into American society. I never met a person with my name, because it is VERY uncommon.  I adjusted quite well, and as a child, it gave me a sense of individuality.  No way I'm taking that away from my baby.
Thanks guys! I respect all of your opinions. Keep Em Coming!
God Bless You All!
Family / Re: I'm Having A Baby! Any Yoruba Name Suggestions? by MzBabs(f): 2:07am On Mar 02, 2010
Also, I'd like to thank everyone who has actually had something of substance to say. All of your input and encouragement is GREATLY appreciated. The generosity and kindness of Naija culture keeps surprising me year after year. Dele and I haven't announced our choices yet, but when we do, I will certainly tell my nairalanders immediately. In the meantime, keep the good ones coming! Thanks o. Thank you a million.
