If u truly been there you will not talking like that, the higher institutions in Offa alone is more than 10 both Government and private, that's more than higher institutions in both anambra and enugu put together, Sango Ota is a business hub of Ogun state, is the house of major companies of Ogun state. I don't know what you call development may be building a fancy house alone is what u relate to as a development. Thee development in Sango ota alone is more than all south East put together, though I don't have time to argue with you.

Don't mind him.

North

Abuja: Federal Capital Territory

Kano: Capital of Kano State

Kaduna: Capital of Kaduna State

South West

Lagos: Former Federal Capital Territory

Ibadan: Former capital of the Western Region

Abeokuta: Capital of Ogun State

South East

Enugu: Former capital of the Eastern Region

Owerri: Capital of Imo state

Awka: Capital of Anambra State

But the South East develops these areas

Onitsha: Never was not capital of anywhere, largest market in West Africa and more developed than many state capitals in Nigeria

Nnewi: Never was not capital of anywhere, centre of the auto industry in Nigeria and developed far beyond the village it was before the war

Aba: Never was capital of anywhere but is undisputed capital of Artisanship in Ni3 and major commercial area

So the question for the North and South Westerners is this, where is that place you developed in your area with your ingenuity that isnt capital area status?

Where did you develop or build up without needing it to be capital of anywhere, or government investment?

Until you all stop this kind of mentality, you'll keep creating enemies for yourselves which will keep affecting your region!

What's your point? What are you driving at?? You're creating a sensitive post as this and you failed to do your research well. Na you develop Sango Ota, etc abi.

Don't create enemies, make friends!
Just try it for a year and see things turning around.

I believe in unity. I believe in fairness.

Chai.
Comprehension is ur problem.
I just said u can have an MBA degree irrespective of ur field of study or chosen career and u are here repeating the same thing without even knowing it
I even went ahead to mention management in HR, finance and engineering.
What is now different from what i wrote before to this ur current comment?

Let me try to break it down to ur level.
In every organisation/company there are positions called management position
This management positions are occupied by top members of various departments and they are the ones that makes decisions for the organisation. E.g. MD, Directors, heads of various departments(finance, HR, IT etc)
Now, if u have interest in any of this roles, it is important u have an MBA degree.

That's all I have been saying along
I didn't know u have a comprehension or an English problem
I'm sorry for not coming down to ur level since

I can see where your problem is. Exactly, comprehension you mentioned!

That's why I outlined it for you to see Management itself is a subset.

Don't you think?
Your problem still rest on his Engineering course. And I'm here correcting you.

Ask your lecturers (that's if you are a student truly). Ask for the prospects of MBA in Finance.

Do you think a university (not your own type of University oo, I mean a university in the ranking of Unilag, OAU etc) will give you MBA in Finance without undergoing fundamental courses in finance itself.

Let me even come in the word you have been using since "management". Management in finance, how can you manage what you don't have fundamental knowledge in?

When you choose area of concentration in an MBA, it's a must that they teach you some core - electives fundamental courses.

And as MBA in Finance holder, you can work as a Finance Manager, Business Intelligence, Chief Finance Officer, etc.

Don't because of your hatred for one man insult MBA in Finance generally.

I'm telling you we have different disciplines in MBA which Management itself is a subset. You are here showing your ignorance and abusing. And I thought you said you are MSc student. I'm doubting that already.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) has so many area of specialisation:

1. MBA in Accounting
2. MBA in Finance
3. MBA in Marketing
4. MBA in Management
5. MBA in Human Resources
6. MBA in Entrepreneurship
And so on.

If your argument is that as an MBA in Finance holder, he is less qualified then I totally doubt your education.

It's clearly stated that he has two masters, one in Mechanical Engineering and one is MBA. In addition, he has over 30 years banking experience but you all ignore that to pick the story that suit you.

Besides, he is just in acting position!

Devil1Messenger:
Dr. Kingsley Obiora resumed as a Deputy Governor in the Central Bank of Nigeria on 02 March, 2020. Prior to this, he was an Alternate Executive Director in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC, USA. In this capacity, he was a member of the Executive Board, collectively responsible for conducting the daily operations of the IMF. He also assisted to represent the interests of 23 African Countries, including Nigeria, at the Board.

He first joined the IMF through the globally-competitive “Economist Program” in 2007 and worked in both the European Department as well as the Strategy, Policy and Review Department, whilst carrying out extensive work on exchange rate assessment, debt sustainability analyses, decoupling and spillovers, real sector analyses, as well as several reviews of Financial Sector Assessments. Prior to this, Dr. Obiora worked at the West African Monetary Institute in Accra, Ghana and the Centre for Econometric and Allied Research at the University of Ibadan.

While on secondment from the IMF, Dr. Obiora simultaneously served as Technical Adviser to the Nigeria’s National Economic Management Team as well as Special Assistant to the President Jonathan’s Chief Economic Adviser from October 2011 to May 2014. During this time, he played key roles in helping shape the country’s economic policies on several fronts, including on energy subsidies, power sector reform, measurement of job creation, architecture of development financing, diversification of the economy, oil price benchmarking in the budgetary process, regulatory framework for doing business, port reform, and asset-based economic mapping and modeling.

From June 2014 until July 2018, Dr. Obiora served as Special Adviser on Economic Matters to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). During this role, he contributed to the overall analytical and policy work of the CBN, bringing his extensive international and domestic economic experiences to bear in helping the Bank understand the ramifications of, and deal with spillovers from, the external shocks emanating from the significant drop in global oil prices. Dr. Obiora has a first degree from the University of Benin as well as Masters and Doctorate degrees in Economics from the University of Ibadan.

Tinubu overlooked this man(an economist, that have even held a top office in IMF) and Aisha Ahmad(a financial expert) to appoint a director of operations that is a mechanical engineer as CBN governor

I was about asking you how he will win Osun State, then I saw your statistics for Lagos State.

You deserve an award as the nairaland comedian of the year.

Ddeliverer007:
Peter obi would have a 40% in

Kano, kaduna, katsina, kebbi, Yobe, Adamawa, Borno, Jigawa, Gombe, Niger, Taraba, zamfara,

He would score 75% in
Abuja, Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Pleateau, Ekiti, Sokoto, Benue,

He would score 98% in
Rivers, Lagos, Imo, Abia, Anambra, Edo, Delta, Enugu, CrossRiver, Ebonyi, nassarawa, kwara, jigawa, Bauchi.

Obi is the 16th President of Nigeria..

IF YOU DOUBT, COME LETS BET
NIGERIA HAS EVOLVED, THIS IS NOT 2015..The election can not be rigged, we’ve passed that level, Just watch and see what would happen.

Politics / Re: 2023: Buhari Orders Emefiele, Others Seeks Political Posts To Also Resign by mzgboy: 10:02am On May 12, 2022
Cherrybae:
Why order the CBN Governor. The oresident lacks the power to save or order an elected official.

The CBN Governor was elected by the national Assembly.

Why order him.

Indeed there was a country.

Illiteracy is a disease I swear.

Section 10 of the CBN Act prescribes that “the Governor and Deputy Governors shall be appointed in the first instance for a term of five years and shall each be eligible for re-appointment for another term not exceeding five years”.

Section eight of the CBN Act of 2007 states that a CBN Governor can be removed by the president “provided that the removal of the Governor shall be supported by two-thirds majority of the Senate praying that he be so removed”.

Questions and Answers:
Is CBN Governor position an elected or appointed position? It's a government appointment.

Can he be sacked? Yes
By who? The president with at least 2/3 of the NA supporting it.

The president can however suspend him before writing to NA for an official sacking.

Will the NA support the sacking? Of course, Yes, since the President is implementing the law they made.

In summary, the power of the President can not be underrated. The resolution given to him to resign is still valid and in line.

And who told you he haven't passed through necessary protocols before the declaration. FYI, the police and other security agents are already implementing the order. That should tell you that he has backings.

masseratti:
criticize him for power he does not have? What he could av done is talk to the LGA chairman or state Governor to declare the curfew, no traditional Ruler has any right to issue a curfew anywhere in Nigeria, it's Illegal actually, even when they want to do traditional rites et AL, they still have to get permission from state Govt and write to the Police.

He is a King for a reason. Whether you call it ceremony or other thing, he still have power over his subjects...

Ordinary street (community) chairman self dey give order to local security men make them arrest people wey roam the street beyond a particular time... Not to now talk about a sitting King giving order....

And for your information, he gave the order base on the current security situation in Ife. For some days now, we haven't been sleeping well due to these evil people. The youth were even going round different street to ensure that every home is safe from robbers. I heard letters were sent to some communities by the robbers.

So, I feel the King acted well and the order is for the protection of his subjects... He is sitting on the throne for a reason.

PrinceOfLagos:

Going by the constitution, OOni don't have such powers

He's a traditional ruler and not state governor
