Nigerian entrepreneur and investment banker, Atedo Peterside, has kicked against the Federal government's decision to grant only Dangote cement access to export and import items across the borders, IgbereTV reports.

Recall that 10 months ago, the Federal government closed borders with neighboring countries including Benin and Niger to curb smuggling and boost local production. Bloomberg reports that the Buhari administration has given its authorization for Africa’s biggest producer to export cement to Niger and Togo in the third quarter for the first time in ten months.

Reacting to the development via his Twitter handle, Peterside said such a move is why some Nigerians argue that the Nigerian economy is rigged in favor of a handful of well-connected persons.

i have many big farms in different locations,

i also have a farm in kwara state but hate going there due to road and security reasons

i also have a farm in abuja that is been controlled by my trusted old hausa man,

I am an Igbo man and I support the BIAFRA IDEA but there are some foolish things that IPOB are doing to undermine our cause.

1. Supporting a racist lunatic in the white house because he is seen as a good christian who will fight for Biafra - Wrong . Trump hates Africans.; he only cares about himself.

2. Spreading silly rumours about the death of Buhari when even a 10 year old knows this is not true. Buhari is alive and well and guess what , I don't like the man one bit for the cruetly he has shown towards my people.

3. Insulting anybody and everybody who disagrees with some of their ideas instead of having an honest, peaceful and constructive dialogue

4. Nnamdi Kanu's constant insults on black Africans, sometimes asking God why he created the black race etc . This is not good, it is very offensive

5. Online threatening to murder and attack their enemies

6. Sending unarmed IPOB 'soldiers' to fight fully armed soldiers


If IPOB can get rid of all these things, all Igbos will be IPOB.
