crazy and unnecessary move, whats the need to have igbo,yoruba,hausa FB pages when Nigeria is an English speaking country. Also how many Nigerians actually can read and write their native languages fluently. Fb should rather repent from their plan to stop supporting Whatsapp on BB10

As part of effort in bringing better services to their esteem customers, Whatsapp have decided to announce December 31st 2016 as the end date of supporting some types of phone.
Whatsapp which is the most popular messaging application platform used by almost 90 percent of smartphone users in the world will no longer support some mobile devices as their planning to expand their app features and add more security tools to their app.

The affected mobile devices include;
All Blackberry phones including blackberry10 devices

Its a huge insult to include BB10 devices in this crappy list. That is hilarious.What kind of better services do they plan to bring that BB10 devices cannot handle. NONE. This is is just Whatsapp bossing up on Blackberry and nothing more. They can just leave us with the current version and send us no updates on their new features that am sure would be completely useless to users. We would be fine with it. All I know is that no matter what they do, i would never go for iOS or Android. Those are just too childish for me. Sticking with my BB Passsport SE. Power Phone.

There was an argument here on NL that BBM is berra than Whatsapp....why are you now crying like an headless chicken.

You should also sign that Petition, whether you are BB user or not. That the right thing to do. BB10 is way better and can compete 99% of phones out there. iOS,Android. Whatsapp/Facebook decision is obviously a biased one

There is currently a petition online asking Whatsapp/Facebook not to end support for BlackBerry 10. The petition reads thus:

"Whatsapp decided to stop supporting BlackBerry 10 at the end of this year. This is non sense a lot of people still use the platform daily. I hope Whatsapp / Facebook sees this. At least give us the service with no updates. Please share this with your friends ! Whatsapp will hear us they care about us"

There are currently(at the time of this post) 3992 signatures and 2213 comments from around the globe. The goal is to get 10,000 signatures. If you are a BB10 owner/lover/fan or still loves to have Whatsapp on your BB10(Not the Android Version), you might wish to sign this petition and and make a comment as well. Hopefully it might have a positive impact on changing the mind of Whatsapp/Facebook
