HealthWhy Men Should Stop Eating Okro – Expert Warns by Nagisa(op): 1:24am On Aug 01, 2017
Okra, though very nutritious, can lead to infertility in men of reproductive age, Dr Ochuko Erikainure, a Senior Research Officer at the Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO), Oshodi, Lagos, has warned.

Erukainure, also a nutritionist and biochemist, gave the warning on Saturday in an interview in Lagos.

According to him, too much consumption of okra, especially its seeds can lead to infertility in men of reproductive age.

An online publication, www.medicalhealthguide.com says Okra, known in many English-speaking countries as lady’s fingers, is a flowering plant in the mallow family.

“Okra is an annual herb that is widely cultivated for its edible green seed pods in tropical, subtropical and warm temperate climates.

“Okra is a hardy plant that can grow even with less water and in hot conditions.”

Erukainure said that okra has a unique substance called “GOSSYPOL”.

“Gossypol inhibits sperm production and motility by blocking several enzymes that are highly important in energy metabolism in sperm and sperm producing cells.

“Okra seeds are very rich in toxic pigment called Gossypol which promote infertility in men by arresting sperm production (spermatogenesis) even at lower dose.

“Gossypol are oil soluble and natural polyphenol secreted by plants as a defence against predators,” he said.

The senior researcher said that in some countries, okra seeds were, however, used for natural contraceptive for men.

“Due to proapoptotic activities in okra seeds (it means killing of cells), gossypol is still under investigation as a possible anticancer agent,” he said.

The nutritionist said that in spite of its effects in men, consumption of okra could be of health benefits to the diabetes, obesity or overweight people.

“Okra is very high in dietary fibres, reduce calories intakes into the body, ability to limit nitric oxide build up in the blood and lipid (fat) and reduces the risks of cancers.

“Okra is an African vegetable that has been a staple of African and Indian cuisine for many years, and also used for medicinal purposes.

“The health benefits of okra can be attributed to its nutritional and phytochemical constituents making it a vital crop.

“One hundred grammes of okra has been reported to meet over 20 per cent of the daily values which the body needs.

“It contains a rare combination of carbohydrates, vegetables, minerals and vitamins.

“Not less than 10 different vitamins and minerals can be found in okra such as vitamin A, which is great for the skin, vitamin C and E which prevent cell damage in the body,” he said.

Erukainure said because “okra is high in fibre, it has positive impact on digestive system which assist with gastrointestinal difficulties.

“Including okra in our daily diet along with physical healthy exercise routine will prevent and treat diabetes, meaning that okra plant contributes to a more active lifestyle”.

Erukainure said that okra has been identified to have insulin-like activity in experimented animals.

“It is also a potent anti-diabetic source, which can be attributed to its chemical constituents,” he said. (NAN)

EducationASUU Threatens Strike by Nagisa(op): 9:24am On Jul 31, 2017
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has threatened to embark on a strike following the kidnap of some of its members.

The Union made this known after no fewer than 48 persons including five lecturers of UNIMAID, fifteen soldiers, eleven members of the Civilian Joint Task Force and workers of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation were waylaid while on exploration tour in Barno Yasu, Borno state on Thursday by the Boko Haram terrorists.

image: https://i0.wp.com/www.herald.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/adb.jpg?resize=567%2C388

ASUU stated that it will embark on the proposed strike if the Federal Government fails to secure the release of its members in captivity of the Islamist-Jihadist sect.

Speaking on the proposed strike action, the President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, stated that the union would take action if the timely release of its members is not secured by the federal government.

He added: “Our union is no doubt saddened by the UNIMAID incident. It is a concrete manifestation of our fears all along. As far back as June 9, we expressed our fears about the alarming security situation in the Maiduguri metropolis and particularly in UNIMAID. Those fears we expressed are beginning to manifest concretely.

“The situation could have been better handled. Our members, who were carrying out their legitimate duties were made vulnerable to this experience.”

“We have told the government to take the necessary steps and get our members in captivity released or else, we may be forced to call out our members. But we are getting assurances now that the government is going to do the needful.”

Nairaland GeneralAmaechi Diverted Whopping N53 Billion, Also Guilty Of Blackmail – Wike by Nagisa(op): 7:35am On Jul 31, 2017
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwa Wike has affirmed that his predecessor, the former Governor of the oil rich state and the present transportation minister, Rotimi Amaechi is guilty of dumbfounding corruption and has now resorted to blackmail to distort the facts and attempt to attract public sympathy.

This revelation comes just after the transport minister, accused the sitting Governor of pocketing the judiciary.

In a statement released to the press by Simeon Nwakaudu, the Governor’s special assistant on electronic media, Wike chronicled the timeline of event concerning the corruption investigation and prosecution against the sitting minister.

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a reckless Press Statement credited to the Embattled Minister of Transportation and Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi to the effect that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is forging documents to secure his conviction in a court of law.

“This allegation is unfounded, baseless and a figment of the imagination of the former governor. The Minister of Transportation also went ahead to falsely allege that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike bragged that he has the judiciary at the State and Federal level in his pocket to secure his conviction on charges of corruption. This is another false allegation, merely concocted by the former governor to distract attention from the crimes he committed against Rivers people, by diverting their resources.

“This press statement issued by Rotimi Amaechi is part of the campaign of calumny launched by the Former Governor, following the foundation stone laid by the Chief Justice of Nigeria(CJN) Justice Walter Onoghen for the construction of the Rivers State Judges Quarters.

“The Former Governor sponsored advertorials and electronic adverts through proxies to stop the laudable project without success, hence the resort to falsehood and character assassination. We are not surprised by Amaechi’s antics to blackmail the Judiciary.

“Ever since the Supreme Court Victory that validated the election of Governor Wike, Amaechi has never failed to malign the Judiciary. Governor Wike is a law abiding citizen, who believes in the rule of law. That is why he has followed due process in tackling the issues of high level corruption against the Minister of Transportation.

“The Rivers State Governor in line with the extant laws of Rivers State set up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry that investigated the Sale of Valued Assets of the State by the Amaechi administration. The constitution of that panel was challenged by the former Governor at the State High Court and Court of Appeal. Both courts upheld the establishment of that panel.

“The former governor has since approached the Supreme Court on appeal. Rather than await the verdict of the Apex Court, in his usual manner has resorted to political blackmail and falsehood. As usual, this will fail. It is imperative to declare that the Judicial Commission of Inquiry that investigated the Sale of Valued Assets of the State sat in the public.

“All the documents about the fraud of that administration were circulated in the public domain with journalists writing about the activities of the commission, publishing tendered documents. Nothing was hidden from the people of the state. The Rivers State Commission of Inquiry into the sale of Valued State Assets and other related matters headed by Justice George Omereji received 442 exhibits, 27 memoranda while 25 witnesses testified before it.

“The Judicial Commission of Inquiry indicted the former governor and confirmed that N53billion was diverted by Amaechi and his officials. The above statistics are relevant for the public to understand the scope of work by the judicial commission of inquiry. It received 27 memoranda while 25 witnesses testified.

“These memoranda came from different organisations and individuals who were directly involved in the issues that were investigated. We have very credible documents to prove the mass corrupt acts of the Minister of Transportation against the good people of Rivers State.

“We also saw a reckless post by Amaechi’s associate, Mr Igo Aguma trying to denigrate the Judiciary. This is most unfortunate. Amaechi’s sponsorship of Mr Livingstone Wechie will not change the facts that are known to all Nigerians. All documents tendered at the Judicial Commission of Inquiry that investigated the Sale of Valued Assets of the State by the Amaechi administration are genuine.

“Amaechi is being haunted by his ugly past. He locked up the courts for two years, forgetting that he was a beneficiary of the courage of the Judiciary. Amaechi should respect the Judiciary as a courageous arm of government that works in line with the tenets of the law.

“Without equivocation, Governor Wike stands by his declaration on the Rivers funds found at the notorious Ikoyi residence. Nothing has changed. Governor Wike will not be distracted by this reckless and unfortunate blackmail of the Judiciary by Amaechi. At the appropriate time, the immediate past Governor of Rivers State will be brought to Justice. He is assured of fair trial.

PoliticsAnambra Election: IPOB Confront Governor Obiano During Sunday Service by Nagisa(op): 5:02am On Jul 31, 2017
Members of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) took their call for a gubernatorial election boycott straight to one of the campaigners, Governor Willie Obiano, during Sunday service.

According to reports, IPOB members stormed St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ekwulobia in Aguata local government area, just as the governor was settling into the service.

Vanguard mentioned eyewitness accounts which stated youths, including women, who were adorned in Biafra dresses and waving Biafra flags, besieged the gate of the church, chanting Biafra songs and shouting, “No election in Anambra State “, “We want referendum”, and “No referendum, no election”.

A worshipper at the church said: “As these IPOB members continued their confrontation with the police, their numbers continued to increase. I think they were reinforcing from Onitsha and before we knew what was happening, the area was full of IPOB people.”

The Governor was reportedly undeterred in the face of the opposition, and mounted the podium to reassure Anambrarians that there would indeed be elections in the State come November.

A source told Vanguard, “The governor even addressed the issue while speaking to the congregation by assuring Anambra people that there will be election in the state in November.

“He said nobody can stop election in the state and observed that most of the anti- election protesters are not from Anambra State.”

Garba Umar, the Anambra State Police Commissioner confirmed the events.

PoliticsRestructuring Nigeria: Ben Murray Bruce Rushes To Atiku Abubakar’s Defense by Nagisa(op): 1:15am On Jul 31, 2017
Bayelsa State Senator, Ben Murray Bruce (PDP) has rushed to the defense of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President and perpetual Presidential candidate, over his comments on restructuring.

Alhaji Atiku had said that Nigeria could be restructured within six months, a statement that drew incredulity and surprise from various political observes in the country.

Only recently, an elder statesman, Yank Takasai, condemned Atiku over his statement, saying it was impossible and Atiku should know better than to utter such hogwash.

However Senator Bruce has issued a statement, aligning with Atiku’s view, and stating all that is needed is the political will to restructure the country.

“In his rush to judgment, Alhaji Yakassai said inter alia “I thought, as a politician that he (Atiku) is, that he has read our constitution from A-Z before suggesting that we can restructure in six months. My question here is, what are the details of the budgetary provisions for the Ministry of Works that should be transferred to the states’ ministries of education and so on and so forth before he made his pronouncement that these could be done within six months? We already have a budget approved by the National Assembly as empowered by the constitution for appropriation.”

“I am a member of the National Assembly and participated fully in the budget process and I must say that Alhaji Yakassai is wrong to tie restructuring to just one budget cycle.

“Waziri Atiku Abubakar’s ideas on restructuring specifies how he would do away with quota systems by increasing Nigeria’s educational capacity through the return of seized schools back to the missions and handing over federal universities back to the states while more resources will be devolved from the Federal Government to the States and LGAs to enable them build more primary and secondary schools.

“You do not need a budget to transfer schools from the Federal Government to the state government. You only need an Executive Order. I am rather surprised that Alhaji Yakassai does not know this.

“Why would anyone be against such a plan that would not require a constitutional amendment and will almost immediately take care of the over 12 million children out of the formal education system in Northern Nigeria? This number is twice the population of Togo, our next door neighbor. Is Alhaji Yakassai, as a Northern elder, satisfied with this situation? Shouldn’t he rather applaud Waziri Atiku Abubakar for wanting to fix this problem?

“And even in those areas that require constitutional amendments, Waziri Atiku Abubakar is right to say that Nigeria can restructure within six months. “Let me ask Alhaji Yakassai how long it took the National Assembly to come up with the Doctrine of Necessity in 2010? It only took a day. When a nation has the political will to restructure she can achieve it in one day or at least begin the process!

“Northern elders like Alhaji Yakassai should celebrate Waziri Atiku Abubakar who has shown that True Federalism can work. He employs more people in Adamawa state than the Adamawa state government proving that you do not need oil to survive as a state government in the process.

“Finally, let me add that at that event at the University of Nigeria Waziri Atiku Abubakar, predicted that the automobile industry will be moving away from diesel and petrol powered cars in favour of electric and alternative energy powered cars. This, he stated, was one of the reasons why Nigeria must restructure now or risk being bypassed by the global economy.

“Of course he was criticized and painted as crying wolf by the likes of Alhaji Tanko Yakassai , yet only 8 days after he gave this warning, Atiku was vindicated by the news from the UK which was reported in ThisDay’s front page on Thursday July 27, 2017 with the headline: ‘Doom for Nigeria, Britain Moves to Ban Petrol, Diesel Cars by 2040’.

“This again serves as a warning to Nigeria to heed the warnings of patriots like Waziri Atiku Abubakar and others like him, that while we still have a few good years of income from oil we need to urgently diversify our economy which will only be possible if we embrace restructuring.”

Nairaland GeneralWike Brags That The Nigerian CJ Is In His Pocket – Amaechi Alleges by Nagisa(op): 12:57am On Jul 31, 2017
A member of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), Rotimi Amaechi, the transportation minister has alleged that Governor Wike openly brags about how the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen is in his pocket.

The former Governor of Rivers State, Amaechi has been in a running battle with the current governor, Nyesom Wike, who was once a close and trusted aide, for close to 6 years now.

Amaechi did not disclose the source of his information, however Wike has had his phone tapped previously by the ruling party agents.

In a statement released to the media on Sunday, Amaechi stated that Wike was bent on nailing him through the use of forged documents.

“Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has continued to twist, falsify and forge fresh documents that he intends to use against the immediate past governor of the state and now Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

“Wike wants to use the elaborately distorted and most times outright but carefully forged documents to persecute and prosecute his erstwhile benefactor in court. In the past couple of days, Wike has been telling anyone who cares to listen, bragging that he will certainly get a conviction, a judgement against Amaechi in the law courts on spurious charges of corruption using his forged documents because he (Wike) is in control of the judiciary at the state and national level.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state that Wike has been boasting that he has the judges in the Rivers State judiciary in his pocket, that he’s in full control and that the State judiciary would always give him any judgement he wants against Amaechi.

“Furthermore, Wike is bragging that the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) is his ‘main man’, that would readily and easily assist him get any judgement he wants against Amaechi at the apex court, using his contorted documents.

“Wike is also telling anyone who cares to listen that the Supreme Court (Justices) and judges generally are not happy with Amaechi and so they would easily convict him with any forged document he presents in court. Power drunk Wike is using the recent visit of the CJN to Rivers State as his bragging right to prove his ‘extreme’ closeness to the CJN.

“Nigerians would recall that only a few days back, Livingstone Wechie, the young man Wike used to accuse Amaechi of corruption and write false and frivolous petitions to the National Assembly, EFCC etc, confessed in a live television programme and in a statement he also circulated to the media, that all the documents he used to wrongfully portray Amaechi as corrupt when he governed Rivers State, were phonies, forged documents given to him by Wike’s Rivers State Government House.

“Wechie also admitted, like we have always said, that the forged documents were used as the template and basis for the Justice Omereji led Judicial Commission of Inquiry, a panel Wike set up early in his administration to witch-hunt, malign, vilify and persecute Amaechi.

“Sadly, this is the kind of administration that presides over the affairs of Rivers people. An administration that embarks on wholesale forgery and distortion of government documents and then retails it out to his minions, the media and now the judiciary in a shameful and futile bid to defame and destroy Amaechi. Brazenly, without any scruples, Governor Wike runs an administration that manufactures and concocts documents to indict Amaechi of corruption. Yes, this is the kind of character, a low-level conman that is at the helm of affairs in Rivers State.

“Since he became governor, Wike’s sole agenda has been to attack and vilify Rotimi Amaechi, no matter how ridiculous and silly he sounds. Everyday in Rivers State, there is one frivolous, false story of what Amaechi did or didn’t do. Same pattern, the same blatant lies using distorted and forged documents, same old concocted stories of corruption allegations against Amaechi told with different twists.

“Nigerians will not forget in a hurry how Nyesom Wike, hurriedly called a suspicious late night press conference to lie that the over $43million found by EFCC in a luxury apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos and the apartment belongs to Amaechi. “Wike shamelessly said that the money was part of what was stolen from Rivers State – and warehoused in the Ikoyi house – by his predecessor and current Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

“Not done with his concocted tales, Wike went further to threaten the President Muhammadu Buhari administration with fire and brimstone if the money is not returned to him (Wike). “He gave the Federal Government a seven-day ultimatum to return the money; otherwise, he would institute the mother of all legal actions against the Buhari government to recover the money. “That’s the typical Wike, a lying, reckless, irresponsible and brutal forger that has become the laughing stock of his peers and the nation.”

CareerSenate Votes Yes To Delete NYSC From Constitution Read More At Http://www.herald by Nagisa(op): 4:50pm On Jul 27, 2017
The Senate has voted to remove the compulsory National Youth Service Scheme from the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This is good news for many young Nigerians, however it doesn’t mean that NYSC is now not compulsory for university leavers.

It is a first step in allowing the Nigerian lawmakers to amend the NYSC decree. This development comes as many Nigerian youth who are fed up with the non-productive nature of the scheme have been clamouring for its termination.

An overwhelming majority of eighty eight Senators voted for the removal of the NYSC decree from the Constitution, whilst 3 Senators voted against the amendment vote.

The lawmakers were very busy during their session yesterday, July 26th, as they also voted on 32 other constitutional amendments including voting for the reduction of the age at which a Nigerian can run for President and the removal of the land use act from the constitution.

PoliticsReps Hunt Informants Over Patience Jonathan’s Property Raid by Nagisa(op): 11:09pm On Jul 26, 2017
The House of Representatives on Wednesday asked National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for identities of informants whose tip-off led to raid on former First Lady, Patience Jonathan’s property.

The House’s Committee on Public Petition gave the order on Wednesday in its session on a petition on incessant harassment of herself and family sent to it by the former first lady.

The committee also summoned the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the Police to appear as defendants in the petition.

A Director in the NDLEA, Mr Femi Oloruntoba, had told the committee at the hearing that the agency got a tip-off from an unnamed source that the property located at Igbeti Rock Street, Maitama, Abuja, was being used for illicit drug activities.

“Based on the information, eight officers of the agency visited the premises after surveillance was conducted on it. It is not true that 50 officers from my agency visited the premises,” he said.

According to Oloruntoba, the officer who met two occupants of the premises provided them with a search endorsement form, which they endorsed indicating that the search was conducted without any damage to the property or loss of items.

He said that the agency was not aware that the premises belonged to the former first lady, adding that a letter was written by a solicitor on behalf of a man who claimed to be the owner of the premises.

Consequently, the committee requested NDLEA to provide it with the identity of the claimed source before the next adjourned date.

The legal team from Granville Abibo & Co. led by Mr Sammie Somiari, who petitioned the lower chamber on behalf of Mrs Jonathan, had earlier told the committee that it would adopt the initial petition as its brief in the matter.

Somiari added that additional documents were available to substantiate whatever they had raised in the petition.

He said the respondents, including the mentioned agencies, had engaged in wanton attacks on the former first lady and her relations.

He cited different media reports and newspaper headlines as pointers to the allegation of attacks on Jonathan.

He said “the EFCC has serially orchestrated a design to freeze the personal accounts of Mrs Jonathan, her siblings and other relations and associates

“A case in point is one Aridolf Jo Resort Wellness and Spa Ltd off Okota Estate and Finchley Top Homes Limited which were all shut down without any justifiable reason by the EFCC with their accounts frozen.”

The committee asked its secretariat to send reminders to all agencies joined in the case that were yet to appear to provide documents regarding their role in the matter.

PoliticsSenate Bans Goodluck Jonathan From 2019 Presidential Pollsters Polls by Nagisa(op): 9:01pm On Jul 26, 2017
The Nigerian Senate has today ruled against the participation of a former president of the country, Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming elections.

Recall that the former president who lost in 2015 against the ruling president, Muhammadu Buhari had made his plight to re-contest for the Presidency known some months ago.

The Nigerian Senate has however on Wednesday shattered the ambition following its decision which was reached after a voting process.

The Senate declared that the former president was barred from re-contesting and running for a second term in office. This was done during voting in series of new bills being passed by the upper legislative chamber.

The Bill sought that any vice president who had completed a tenure of a sitting president and contested a fresh four years mandate shall not be eligible to run for a second term of office.

HealthMen Should Suck Women’s Breasts To Prevent Breast Cancer – Expert by Nagisa(op): 5:01pm On Jul 25, 2017
A midwife, Madam Mary Azika, has encouraged men to frequently suck their wives’ breasts as a means to prevent breast cancer in women.

The midwife in the Upper East Region stated that the advise as trivial as it may sounds seeing as men had often jested about it could help women in the war against breast cancer.

While speaking at a seminar organised by the Upper East Regional Chapter of the Distance Education Students Association of Ghana (DESAG) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), the midwife said: “The best way to prevent Bosom cancer is to encourage Bosom feeding.”

She continued: “The baby can be sucking, your husband can also enjoy it. The men can examine their wives’ and their girlfriends’ Bosom s. The men should also suckle the women’s Bosoms.

“Don’t allow your wife to get Bosom cancer. Sucking of the Bosom is also good.”

Madam Mary Azika, a vastly experienced healthcare professional further stated that breast cancer is contracted and develops over time.

She added: “The lump in the Bosom is painless. It’s so small that if you don’t examine it well, you would not know. We have Bosom tissues; but when the lump is there and you don’t examine it well, you won’t know. It’s painless.

“It can be there for years. When it’s advanced, that’s when you start getting the signs and symptoms. You’ll feel some tingling, like some pins [spiking] the Bosom s.

“You are not Bosom feeding but when you squeeze the nipple you would see some discharge, either yellow or [bloody]. By the time you start feeling some pain, it means you have reached the advanced stage.”

CelebritiesI Failed So Much In UNILAG I Was Advised To Withdraw – Toke Makinwa by Nagisa(op): 4:30pm On Jul 25, 2017
Nigerian On-Air Personality and author of ‘On Becoming’, Toke Makinwa has taken to her social media page to reveal her academic prowess while she was a university student at the University of Lagos, UNILAG.

The media personality who ended her book tour yesterday at her alma mater, UNILAG revealed that her decision to end the book tour which started months ago at her alma mater was based on the fact that the institution gave her something to think of especially when she almost gave up hope.

She revealed that she failed so much while in school that she was advised to withdraw at some point.

She said: “I haven’t always made the right choices but I am thankful for grace. I’m no where near perfect, I struggle sometimes but I’m learning to lean on the grace of God to catch me when I fall. Its quite emotional for me to end my book tour at the University of Lagos cos I remember my time there, I wasn’t the brightest student, I had potential but I was a troubled young girl, I didn’t care much for my books till one day I was advised to withdraw, and I hit rock bottom.”

She continued: “I had no where else to go, my grades were bad, so bad the school asked me to leave. Something happened (grace), there was a meeting with all department heads I was granted mercy on humanitarian grounds. My lecturers knew I had it in me but I couldn’t see what they saw, they decided to give me an extra year to turn it around. It was humiliating, I started not quite at the bottom but it was a struggle. My mates had graduated and I was in a new class and boy it was hard but I did it.

“I don’t know how but I made a 2:2. Instead of 4 years I spent 5/6 but I made it out. It is important for me to go back and meet with the students in Unilag, the ones doing great and the students that are struggling too. Sometimes it takes sharing your story to inspire someone to believe in themselves and I’m always up for it. Nairaland GeneralCouple In Court For Allegedly Swallowing Sim Card To Prevent Justice by Nagisa(op): 7:31pm On Jul 24, 2017
A couple, Akeem Ibrahim and Hope Ola, on Monday appeared in an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly swallowing a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to prevent justice.

The accused, resident in Ajegunle, appeared on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

They however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Olatunde told the court that the accused committed the offences on July 15, at about 1.00 p.m., opposite Mainland Hotel, Oyingbo.

He said that the couple had boarded a tricycle belonging to the complainant, David Joseph, adding that in the process conspired to steal the tricycle valued at N130, 000.

“The couple, who had the intention to abscond with the tricycle, seized the opportunity to drive away with it when Joseph excused himself to purchase operation tickets,” he said.

He also said that when the couple were brought in for interrogation, Ola, the wife, swallowed her SIM card to prevent the police in tracing who they sold the tricycle to and prevented justice from taking its course.

PoliticsBuhari’s Photo With APC Governors In London Is Old And Fake – FFK by Nagisa(op): 2:04pm On Jul 24, 2017
BREAKFAST IN LONDON WITH CITIZEN BUHARI

The picture of a handful of APC Governors and President Muhammadu Buhari, which was purportedly taken in London yesterday, is old and fake.

I have been reliably informed that they were taken during Ramadan in Abuja some time back and not yesterday in London.

Quite apart from that even though the picture was meant to have been taken in London curiously all the drinks on the table are Nigerian products and Nigerian-made.

Did the Governors take all those drinks along with them to London when they went to see the President?

Is Buhari not coming home again anytime soon? Acting President Yemi Osinbajo and some government officials recently told us that he would be back on the 28th of July which is just a few days away.

Why the need for the APC Governors to "visit" him in far away London if he will be back in Nigeria in a few days?

What was the purpose and point of this fake photo-shoot and this strange breakfast meeting? What was the purpose and objective of this monumental fraud and deceit?

Whatever the answers may be to these questions the curtain must be brought down on what can only be described as a puerile and nauseating conspiracy.

This crazy and noxious charade just has to stop. We do not wish the President dead but we have a right to know the truth. As a matter of fact we demand to know that truth because, as he once said himself, he "belongs to us all".

For those who still believe that the meeting actually took place there are some nagging questions that need to be answered.

For example why were the Nigerian and foreign media not allowed to cover the proceedings and participate in this celebrated photo-soot and merry London feast?

Why did the Villa press corps not take one of their own camera men to London and make a short video of this "historic" event?

Why was were the whole proceedings shrouded in so much secrecy? Why is it that only one picture was taken? Why were more pictures not shot? Why was Buhari not put on audio tape and interviewed whilst he was with his celebrated and important guests?

Why did he not offer a few words of hope and encouragement to the Nigerian people to ease the tension that has been generated in the land by his prolonged absence?

How can they expect us to take Governor Rochas Okorocha's word for anything without any solid proof or evidence to back those words up or give them a measure of veracity or credibility?

I for one would not believe a word that a man like Rochas tells me. If he told me that it was day outside I would have to assume that it was night. It is that bad.

Again why did Buhari not shake anyone's hands during the photo-shoot? Why did he not get up from his chair, say "cheese" and give us a big Daura smile?

Why was he just sitting there like a stuffed mannequin who really did not know where he was and who he was interacting with?

Is it not obvious that he can no longer function properly? Why all the tall tales that he is getting much better?

Is it not clear that he is simply being stuffed with and pumped up by a dangerous cocktail of steriods? Is it not obvious that he is suffering from an extreme form of dementia?

Is it not clear that even if he were to be brought back to Nigeria tomorrow he could no longer function properly and lead the nation?

Is it not obvious that he is barely lucid and that he is little better than a zombie?

Where is the shame in admitting these truths and prevailing on him to resign in order for him to be able to go home to Daura and take care of his health?

Better still he could resign and be taken to Prophet T.B. Joshua's Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos for prayer, deliverance and healing. I assure you that it works.

Those who truly love Mr. President and care for him ought to advise him to take one of these two options. Yet sadly few will do so.

The bitter truth is that we have become the laughing stock of the entire civilised world since this shameless charade began.

A nation of 180 million people whose President has gone missing and who have no idea where he is, what is wrong with him or what the prognosis for his condition is. The situation is shameful and bizarre.

Worse still we have a media that is so fawning in its attitude when it comes to the Federal Government and that is so easily intimidated that they simply refuse to ask the right questions about this matter or undertake to carry out the necessary investigations with a view to establishing the truth.

This is the greatest tragedy of all and it results in total impunity on the part of the government because the media is not prepared to keep them on their toes.

Yet it doesn't stop there. We have a Senate with 109 distiguished and able Senators and a House of Representatives with over 300 honorable legislators and yet not one of them has the fortitude or guts to call for the resignation of this ailing man who is clearly no longer well enough to lead our nation.

The following questions must be answered: are the Nigerian people under a blinding and binding spell? Is this the unholy work of vodoo-merchants, witch-doctors and necromancers?

Have our people been bound up and charmed by these broom-loving APC wizards and witches?

The truth is that God is watching this charade and He is not mocked. No matter what anyone says or does His will shall be done, His counsel shall stand, His purpose shall be established and His name shall be glorified in this situation and in our nation.

Nigeria is too important, too big and too good to be subjected to such malevolent indignities and infantile rubbish.

She is too blessed and advanced a nation to be manipulated by a faceless little cabal of power-hungry, godless, self-seeking, evil, callous and bloodthirsty men.

We as a people deserve far better than that and we ought to demand much more. Buhari is not a King with divine rights and neither is he God.

He is a human being like you and I and, just like us, blood runs through his veins. He is not immortal and he is not infallible.

He is mortal and he is fallible. He is not indispensible. Like all human beings, he is dispensible. With or without him Nigeria shall go on and our nation shall survive.

In any case whether he comes back alive or not is not the point and neither is it the relevant question.

The relevant point and question is whether he can continue to function as President if and when he does come back and, based on the information at my disposal, it is very clear to me that he will not be able to do so.

The truth is that if and when he does come back, he will come back as a shell of his former self. This is sad, pitiful and tragic but the sooner we come to terms with it the better it is for us all.

This is a man that I have been reliably informed has lost his memory, his powers of speech, his recollection of events and his ability to perform even the most basic mental and physical functions. A man in such a condition can hardly be described as being fit to rule this great nation.

The morbid obsession with retaining power at all costs which has afflicted those in the Presidency that Mrs. Aisha Buhari has graphically described as the "hyenas and jackals" coupled with their insidious attempt to institutionalise what I have described elsewhere as "corspsocracy" (the rulership of the living by the dead) in the body politic of our nation must cease forthwith.

Nigerians are gracious, kind, long-suffering, resilient, loving, patient and compassionate people who wish the best for their President but that does not mean that they should be taken for granted, taken for a ride or treated like fools. They are not children and they are not stupid.

It is time for this horrendous madness and hideous nightmare to stop!

It is time for Buhari's seat to be declared vacant and it is time for Acting President Yemi Osinbajo to fully take over and be sworn in as the new and substantive President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

HealthTop Five Reasons Why You Should Stop Drinking Milk by Nagisa(op): 12:12pm On Jul 23, 2017
Many people, including some vegetarians, still consume substantial amounts of dairy products—and government policies still promote them—despite scientific evidence that questions their health bene

While milk has its health benefits, some dangers are also associated to its frequent consumption such as:

Milk production ultimately leads to climate change.
The dairy industry is an extension of the beef industry, this means it plays a major role in creating climate change.

According to a UN report, cows are leading contributors to climate change and thia accounts for putting out 18% of the world’s carbon dioxide, cows emit more greenhouse gases than cars, planes, and all other forms of transportation combined.” That means the industry of exploiting all cows—including dairy cows—involves destructive practices like deforestation and polluting offshoots like runoff.

Cow’s milk is for cows
The biochemical make-up of cow’s milk is perfectly suited to turn a 65-pound newborn calf into a 400-pound cow in one year. It contains, for example, three times more protein and seven times more mineral content while human milk has 10 times as much essential fatty acids, three times as much selenium, and half the calcium. Some may like cow’s milk but drinking it is both unnecessary and potentially harmful.

Milk is actually a poor source for dietary calcium.
Humans, like cows, get all the calcium they need from a plant-based diet.

Milk may increase the likelihood of osteoporosis.
It is still widely accepted that the calcium in dairy products will strengthen our bones and help prevent osteoporosis, but studies show that foods originating from animal sources (like milk) make the blood acidic. When this occurs, the blood leeches calcium from the bones to increase alkalinity. While this works wonders for the pH balance of your blood, it sets your calcium-depleted bones up for osteoporosis.

Milk makes you fat.
In 2005, the Harvard School of Public Health had this to say on the consumption of dairy products: “Three glasses of low-fat milk add more than 300 calories a day. This is a real issue for the millions of people who are trying to control their weight, also small amounts of milk or dairy products give them stomach aches, gas, or other problems.”

In conclusion, Milk and dairy products are not necessary in the diet and can, in fact, be harmful to health. It is best to consume a healthful diet of grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and fortified foods including cereals and juices. These nutrient-dense foods can help you meet your calcium, potassium, riboflavin, and vitamin D requirements with ease—and without facing the health risks associated with dairy product consumption.

RomanceFoods You Must Avoid Before Having Sex by Nagisa(op): 10:08pm On Jul 22, 2017
The food we eat can affect our sex drive in both a positive and negative way, so it’s important to choose wisely when it comes to getting some action

While some of these anti-aphrodisiacs, which include surprising foods such as broccoli, tofu and oats, are good for us in the long run, they are best not consumed when you’re hoping to get in the mood for love.

image: http://www.herald.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Sex-Death-620x400-700x452.jpg

Food can have an incredible impact on our lives, affecting not only our physical health but our emotional well-being too,’ ‘Our libido can be affected by a number of outside influences, from stress, tiredness, shift work, financial worries or simply working long hours.’

Some of the foods to avoid are:
1. Cheese
Dairy generally is a libido killer. For many, dairy is congesting and mucus-producing, so not the ideal way to feel before sex

2. Beans
‘For some, they’ll feel full of energy after a bean-filled meal, for others they may feel sluggish or at worst bloated and even an increase in flatulence, so best avoided,’ she explained.

3. Chocolate
Choose your chocolate carefully as not all chocs are bad. Go for dark chocolate that contains a minimum of 70 per cent cocoa, as it will be the most nutritious way to consume this delicious, sensual food!

‘Dark chocolate is naturally high in many antioxidants, choose raw for the highest possible levels of naturally occurring nutrients. Chocolate is rich in L-tryptophan, which is a precursor to serotonin.

‘When we have good levels of serotonin we feel happier and this decreases our stress levels.

4. Red wine
In moderation, red wine may increase blood flow, whilst relaxing you and lowering your inhibitions. But only have it in small amounts, as you don’t want to overdo it!

5. Oatmeal
May be good for you by helping to lower stress levels, and this is a roundabout way may increase libido, but aside from keeping you full energy-wise, oatmeal won’t directly increase your libido. Plus the high fiber content can lead to gassy feelings.

6.Energy drinks
These are often full of sugar and nasties such as artificial colours and flavours. They may give you an instant energy lift, which may increase endurance and stamina, but this may be short-lived.

PoliticsN/A Must Amend Section 144 That Deals With The Incapacitation Of The President by Nagisa(op): 8:59pm On Jul 22, 2017
You are all aware of the constitutional provision of section 144 sub-section 1a of the 1999 Constitution as amended that states, “(1) The President or Vice-President shall cease to hold office, if –

(a) by a resolution passed by two-thirds majority of all the members of the executive council of the Federation it is declared that the President or Vice-President is incapable of discharging the functions of his office; and

(b) the declaration is verified, after such medical examination as may be necessary, by a medical panel established under subsection (4) of this section in its report to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.”

This sub-section of the 1999 constitution as amended is not only an anti people provision, it also goes against common reasoning. How can the Vice President who is in Acting capacity initiate the process of impeachment alongside other appointees who are ministers of an incapacitated president?

It is a known fact that ministers appointed by a president into the Federal Executive Council will naturally be loyal to the president who appointed them.

In the instant case, how can a minister appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari be loyal to Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo and then be expected to move a motion or be part of the council that will declare the president incapacitated as stipulated in section 144 sub-section 1a above.

As it stands today, Nigeria can not move forward because of this constitutional provision as a clearly incapacitated president Muhammadu Buhari can not be declared unfit to hold office because his appointees are still loyal to him.

The Constitutional Amendment Review Committee exercise must amend section 144 sub-section 1a in tune with our current political reality by ensuring that only the National Assembly is constitutionally mandated to initiate the entire process of declaring the President and Vice President incapacitated on grounds of ill health.

Since democracy is about the people and the people alone, our laws must not protect any individual no matter how highly placed he is. Section 144 sub-section 1a gives some form of protection to an incapacitated president from being declared unfit to hold office through a transparent manner. The ongoing Constitution Review Committee as a matter of urgency must amend this section in order to save our country from a constitutional crisis.

A 36-year-old prostitute has confessed to the crime of killing over 100 men and rendering some others which she claimed were over 70 impotent.

The Ghanaian prostitute revealed that she started the illegal business after a Nigerian lady introduced her into the illicit business of prostitution.

Katrine Obenewaa, the prostitute revealed that her love and quest for money pushed her into the trade adding that the lack of support from her parents compounded her woes.

While speaking to Bryt FM’s Samuel Mprah, the prostitute revealed that her quest for an alternative source of income led her into the trade which she was introduced to after meeting one Miss Elizabeth Opeyemi, a Nigerian.

She narrated: “I was initially working as a local prostitute but later went international after coming into contact with one Miss Elizabeth Opeyemi, an international sex worker from Nigeria.”

Speaking on how she got into prostitution outside Ghana, she stated that she operated in neighbouring countries including Benin, Togo and Burkina Faso.

“My eight years of friendship with Miss Opeyemi was a great moment that saw me with billions of cedis. I was able to buy two separates six-bed room apartments from the monies I made through my sex business and now own a lot of other landed properties from this same sex business.”

She added that her quest to make more money pushed her into seeking spiritual help for backup. The spiritualist however gave her the back up needed but at a cost as every man she slept with from the moment onward either lost his life or became impotent.

She revealed that the spiritualist told her that the procedure was irreversible and confessed to having killed over a hundred men she’s slept with since then.

Katrine, now unhappy with her life as she’s had to live with the limiting situation said “though I have acquired the needed wealth one could desire for in life, am still not a happy person because of this predicament in my life.”

BusinessGTWorld To The Rescue by Nagisa(op): 4:23pm On Jul 19, 2017
Like most Nigerian banking customers I have certainly had my fair share of ups and downs with the products, services and customer service the banks have to offer.

Most of the time I have one nagging complaint or the other, but today I have to hand it to the industry, especially GTBank, which is leading its peers down the right path.

The first thing related to the sector that made me smile this week was learning GTbank had reviewed upwards its monthly dollar spending threshold to $1000 for its Naira mastercard users. A bittersweet victory as I misplaced my card and was unable to collect the new one before I traveled urgently.

The second thing GTBank did this week that made me smile literally from ear to ear, was done well before this week. However with my usual shakara and I was unable to partake until I had an emergency.

When the bank announced the launch of GTWorld it was with much fanfare and jingles on the social media landscape, however I felt since I already have the old GTbank app on my phone, there was no need to download the new one.

I woke up this morning and had to urgently settle a vendor as promised. I planned to make a payment later in the day. Alas, as I was going to make the payment I realized my GTBank token had stopped working. I literally had no other way to make the payment as only that account was funded.

Feeling helpless, I reached out to GTBank customer service, and was informed there was no remedy for the token but I should try the GTWorld app.

I went to the Play store and found that over 100,000 people are already using the GTWorld app. At this point, I was feeling like LASTMA, for not being one of the early or first adopters.

It took me about five minutes to download the app, and after setting up the one time password, there was no longer any need for me to consummate transactions with a token. GTWorld made the token obsolete.

The app has a lot of other cool features that I am yet to explore, but the interface and ease of use of the app makes this product the best in the banking sector by leaps and bounds.

Kudos to GTBank and thanks for using technology to make my life easier in an increasingly difficult world.

CrimeDanish Court Sentences Man To 14 Days In Prison For Begging by Nagisa(op): 7:31am On Jul 19, 2017
A Danish court on Tuesday sentenced a Romanian national to 14 days in prison under new, tougher legislation aimed at dissuading aggressive begging.

“The man, who was not named, was sentenced in absentia by the Copenhagen District Court,’’ Danish news agency Ritzau reported.

It was believed to be the first conviction since tougher legislation approved by lawmakers in June took effect.

The measures include doubling the punishment for first-time offenders to 14 days in prison.

Offenders could also be sentenced to prison without a prior police caution, which has previously been the practice.

The bill aims to prevent begging on pedestrian thoroughfares, outside supermarkets, at transport stations, and on trains and other forms of public transport.

“Police notified the man on July 11 when he was found begging outside the Norrebro Station in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, prosecutor Marlene Beynon said.

Although the man who was born 1969 did not appear at the hearing, witnesses verified he had been at the scene.

Police have been instructed to notify him of the conviction and find out whether he intends to appeal or not.

A court official said he had 14 days to appeal.

In recent months there have been increased complaints about aggressive begging and illegal camps that lack water and sanitation in Copenhagen. (dpa/NAN)

A sales girl with Shoprite stores, Mariam Mufutau has been arrested and arraigned before a Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing the sum of N553,956,000 she realized from sales just one month after she was employed.

The management of Shoprite Stores in Eti-Osa had reported the case of theft to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ilasan Division, Lekki, Eti-Osa, SP Onyinye Onwuamaegbu.

CelebritiesPeter Okoye Reacts To Call For His Arrest By APC Youth by Nagisa(op): 8:20pm On Jul 18, 2017
Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye who was described as a child of darkness by the youth wing of the All Progressive Congress, APC has reacted to the call for his arrest by the political party.

Recall that the youth wing had stated in a statement released: “We read the scurrilous remarks credited to Mr Peter Okoye of the Psquare group against the Federal Government’s job-saving policy in the entertainment industry with great anger and vexation.

“Least of all persons to make scathing remark against the government is the Psquare group which the local content policy of the Federal Government dusted-up from the valley of obscurity.

“Where was Peter Okoye or Psquare brand in 1999 when foreign music dominated our airwaves? If not for the government policy which mandated all broadcast stations in Nigeria to pay attention to Nigerian music by playing 95 percent of Nigerian songs every day, would Peter Okoye or Psquare be known to anybody in Nigeria today? Or would they have competed with better American music which dominated our airwaves then?

“After the government have used its policy to brush them up from nothing to something; instead of giving opportunity to other people, they are taking Nigerian jobs to foreign countries through the shooting of music videos abroad.

“Now that government have intervened to raise great and better entertainers again, Peter Okoye has the gut to insult the entire Federal Government by calling our great leaders ‘Ndi Ala’ which means mad and stupid people. How dare you say that Psquare?

“We, therefore, urge the security agencies in the country to arrest Mr Peter Okoye for disrespecting our government and bringing it to a disrepute. If you cannot produce in Nigeria and hire Nigerians, then leave the industry. We must export Nigerian culture to the outside world through our music and videos.”

In reaction to the call for his arrest, the singer took to his social media page to demand for Egusi soup along with the arrest warrant.

A Magistrates’ Court in Minna on Tuesday sentenced a 25-year-old security guard, Musa Isah, to three months imprisonment for stealing N500 from an accident victim.

Isah was arraigned on a count charge of theft, contrary to Section 287 of the Penal Code.

The Police Prosecutor, Insp. Gunduma Ibrahim, told court that the convict, residing at M.I. Wushishi Estate in Minna committed the offence on July 15 at about 4 p.m.

BusinessBanks Increase Dollar Spending Limits On Naira Cards by Nagisa(op): 12:31pm On Jul 18, 2017
Improved foreign exchange supply for Nigerian banks are the major reason for the increased dollar spending limits for payment cards that are denominated in local currency, Bloomberg reports.

The country’s biggest bank by market value, Guaranty Trust Bank, raised the maximum amount a holder of its naira Mastercard can spend abroad in a month to $1,000 from $100, in line with “the relative improvement in foreign-exchange liquidity in the market,’’ Meksley Nwagboh, a spokesman for the lender said Monday in an emailed response to questions.

On the same vein, Ecobank Transnational Inc. had also raised their limit to the same amount while the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Group will implement its on increase to a new spending limit of $500 per month this week according their officials.

This upward turn of financial policies put an end to the suspension of foreign payments using Naira cards in 2015 and 2016 following the decline of the production and prices of crude oil, the country’s main export.

However, the Central Bank’s creation of a market-determined foreign-exchange trading window for investors and exporters in April increased access to dollars and enabled banks such as GTB to increase its spending limit while improving the dollar liquidity of banks like Ecobank, Bloomberg reports.

This, has consequently put the banks in a stronger position to boost foreign exchange payments nationwide says Tunde Kuponiyi, Ecobank’s head of consumer banking.

This was further confirmed by the London-based Exotix Capital in a note released to clients on the 14th of July which said in part, “The change in the withdrawal limit is another signal that banks are less concerned about foreign exchange liquidity than before,’’

The naira was quoted at 365.08 per dollar in the new Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange market on Monday. It traded at 324.50 naira per dollar as of 3:38 p.m. on Monday in the interbank market and 367 naira in the street market from a peak of 520 naira per dollar in February.

PoliticsEconomy Cannot Recover With Poorly Paid Workers – Labour Leader by Nagisa(op): 5:03pm On Jul 17, 2017
A labour leader, Mr Isa Aremu, on Monday appealed to the Federal Government to constitute a national minimum wage review committee without delay to alleviate workers’ suffering.

”There is no way the economy can recover with poorly paid workers,’’ Aremu, General Secretary, National Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, said.

He spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

NAN reports that the Federal Government had on May 23 said that it would set up a 29- member committee to review the minimum wage.

The Trade Union Congress and the Nigeria Labour Congress have been agitating for increase in minimum wage from N18,000 to N56,000.

According to Aremu, there is no need for delaying constitution of the committee since it has been approved by the Federal Executive Council.

He said that increase in the wage should not be tied to increase in government revenue.

”Increase in wage is a matter of law and not based on government revenue generation.

“It is long overdue; our patience is running out. We have already lost two years.

”We hope the organised labour will not resort to industrial action. The government should avoid this.

”Previously, there was no increase in wage without a nationwide strike, and strike is not healthy for anybody. We have enough problem in the economy,” Aremu said.

He said that the payment of a correct wage at the right time was a major way to economic recovery.

He, however, commended Acting President Yemi Osibanjo for giving an executive order on ease of doing business.

Aremu said that the government’s decision would improve investment and develop the economy. (NAN)

Fashion10 Makeup Tricks Every Woman Should Know by Nagisa(op): 4:12pm On Jul 17, 2017
Just because you apply makeup regularly, doesn’t mean that you’re necessarily doing it right. Follow our 10 makeup tricks for easier – and better – application.

1. NAILS

To make bright coloured nail polishes pop, apply a coat of white nail polish over your base coat before application.

2. BRIGHT EYES

The same goes for eye makeup. Gently coat your eyelid with white eyeliner pencil and then apply a bold eye shadow over it to intensify the pigment. Bright colours just got a little brighter!

3. LIPS THAT LAST

Apply a coat of glossy lipstick and hold a lightweight tissue against your lips. Then dust a coat of translucent powder over the tissue. Allow it to absorb into the lipstick, wicking away excess moisture. This will set the lipstick and make it last all night!

4. PRIMED EYES

Your eyelids are oily so if you use concealer as a base, makeup will only slip off or cake in fine lines. For long lasting eye makeup use a primer instead.

5. PERFECT COVERAGE

If you want sheer coverage, or if you’re using a BB or CC Cream, apply it with your fingers. For heavier consistency foundations and full coverage always use a brush.

6. MULTITASKING EYELINER

If you want a smudgy, gel like eye pencil line, hold your pencil over a flame for 10 seconds. This will melt the kohl to give you a more fluid consistency.

“A beige eyeliner will make the whites of you eyes appear larger”

7. MAKE IT MATCH

Products for your complexion, like foundation and concealer, should match the inside of your arm rather than the back of your hand.

8. NO MORE DARK CIRCLES

Instead of applying concealer to your under-eye area in a half-moon shape, apply it in a V shape, drawn from your outer to inner corner. Use a concealer brush and watch dark circles disappear!

9. LOOK WIDE AWAKE

Invest in a beige or off-white eyeliner and rim your lower waterline, giving extra attention to the inner corners. This will make the whites of your eyes appear larger, creating the optical illusions of brighter eyes.

10. THE LIPSTICK TEST

If you are unsure about what lip colours will suit you. Test lipstick on the inside of your fingertip – it’s the most similar shade to your natural lip colour.
