Why dont you come and deal with them? Appears you guys have forgotten what happened last year when the Police clashed with the Army at Badagry. Now common LASTMA wants to rubbish the Army! |
Really carefully used! I love this car! |
^^^ Mentioned banks pay wayyyyyyyyyyyy higher than Stanbic. |
You guys are right in here. The next level in the current bank is SBO and the guy is looking good for promotion by next March. Interestingly, new pay for SBO may not be higher than GT's ABO. Moving to GT however means starting afresh in the race for promotion, and as one of the guys that interviewed him at GT stated, he has people who have not been promoted for 4yrs. |
adesteve: Why not? A Yoruba adage says ''Ilesanmi dun 'joye lo''! What is point of a 'take-home' that cannot take you home? What is key is not the grade but what the salary can do for you to realise your dreams. I can bet it that the Int'l Bank you are referring to is Stanbic! nitrogen: i think it is the one other than the two that their names start with 'S'.Bros... e be like say una don hear the Stanbic gist... lol! |
^^^ Dont want to call names in here. |
My guy is a banking officer (BO) in one of the international banks in Nigeria. He got an offer from GTB last week to join them on Asst Banking Officer (ABO) grade. His new salary (at GTB) will however be over 50% higher than his present salary. Right now, he is more in favour of accepting the offer, but am just wondering if that’s the right thing to do. Would you do it? |
Workforce is legit. They recruit for lots of organisations including some banks I know. |

Is anybody receiving signals from this station yet? I tuned in yesterday and there was nothing on 96.1 |
On Monday 21/05/2012, I will leading a discussion on HOW TO MAKE MONEY IN TIMES OF ECONOMIC RECESSIONS on www.entertheplace.com (site currently under development). Certain aspects of the discussion will focus on micro-lendng. Feedback and comments will be appreciated. |
princey83: LOL...they are in developed countries as well, they are called loan sharks - unsecured lending and their APR on loans is in the 2000's. They lend money to people with bad credit history. It's gonna be worse in naija. With the coming on stream of the various Credit Bureaus, the issue of unknowingly advancing loans to companies and individuals with bad credit has been larger taken care of. In Nigeria, I am not aware of any intentional lending to bad debtors except it is a loan restructuring. |
Tcrack: are you serious at all? you want to lend money to nigerians. you will never get your money back.if you talk about project financing, that it understandable. but lening money. ol boy, you had better looked for a different line of business.Sadly, it is folks like you that would never see anything good in your fellow man and would never do anything to improve the system. As against popular belief, the average businessman in Nigeria is desirous of growing his business and is therefore credit worthy so long as the credit facility is properly structured. I know because we do a lot of unsecured credit to SMEs and individuals and have in the last one year disbursed over N5B. Of course there are lots of defaulters but when you look at the overall book, you will see that you have added value to your balance sheet. It's all a question of risk appetite and risk hedging. |
Thank you for your response. I have little experience in Banking, like 2yrs but with a community bank very lo time ago, I've little experience too in finance, revenue generation, consultancy etc. with some ability to keep financial/accounting records manually. And I'm a very good marketer apart from having HND in Banking & Finance with small proffessional exams CIBN PE II. With these small knowledge I'm sure with mannual I can float on the water! So sir you can give me the basis.
Manual? That may not do you so much good, because most of the good manuals available are for big players in microfinance and if you structure your business based on that you would have taken the first steps to failure as you would end up spending your little capital on acquiring technical software and employing people that you do not exactly need at this stage. If you have personal questions to ask, send a mail to info@entertheplace.com |
I am a lawyer and a banker with one of the foriegn banks in Nigeria. You are going into something that is technical and you obviously need someone to hold your hand and help you setup. If you are willing to pay for quality information and mentoring, I can step in for you as this involves giving you quality time and mentoring for at least 6months as you will need skills such as Credit appraisal and analysis, credit administration, collateral management, loan recovery, etc. |
Honestly, I thought it was only area boys and jobless people that play this game... but this level of interest is interesting!!! |
^^^ Thanks for the contact. The guy appears knowledgeable and will be taking it further with him (hoping he is trustworthy). Ford parts are available at Ojuelegba but the mechanics there inflate the prices so badly that it hurts to find alternatives later. |
^^^ Thanks a lot. Am aware of Ojuelegba being the 'in' place for parts for American vehicles. The prices am getting from there are rather high, hence this move to source from other places. I will check out the Ladipo guy. Many thanks again. |
Waiting |
Hello Guys, I need the following compatible parts for ford explorer 99/2000: Condenser and Evaporator for AC system Exhuast manifold Left and right (back doors) inside door handle (the one that opens the doors) I dont mind parts from disused vehicles so long as the parts are in good condition. Surely, there is a chance for does left behind after the rapture to still make Heaven. However, they will have to endure and experience much persecution and catastrophe. The best thing therefore is to go with the first batch. Come dear Jesus, We await Thee. |
The sequence of events is rather that the Rapture of the saints (christians) will take place before the Great Tribulation. plappville:The locusts torture is for all those who continue in refusing to accept Jesus as the Christ and Messiah. Tribulation saints would be exempt from this |
maclatunji:I do 3 - 4 hours in traffic every evening. Add that to the pressures to deliver on several concurrent deadlines at work and a lot of other stuff. Its not a question of not bening able to get it up or keep it up, but more like less interest after a task filled day. |
WAVixen:I thot so too. |
maclatunji:Seriously, will that do it? |
