The charges given to her was in accordance with what is obtainable here in Nigeria, #71,000 (Seventy One Thousand Naira) for Freighting and Clearing a 20kg consignment from Indonesia via China to Lagos and onward delivery to Port Harcourt is not exorbitant and moreover, I am into business to make profit.
On the issue of delay, I do not have total control of the airlines schedule operations, meaning I cannot dictate to them on their “MODUS OPERANDI”.
I want to categorically state here that Chibyke Global has impacted positively in the Freight Forwarding and Clearing industry, locally and internationally. So, what are you waiting for, come on board.
In conclusion, I wish to on behalf of my Management team apologize to her for all the inconveniences it might have caused her and her customers, as it was not deliberate.

Aside tokunbo vehicles, Nigeria imports an average of 40,000 new vehicles yearly. I bet the vehicles will also cost less. Detriot and many other American cities are what they are because of the American auto industry, employing millions of people in both direct and indirect jobs.

I drive an Explorer and I must say it is way above most other SUVs/sedans that are its peers.

CONS:
High running cost- Fuel, toll gate, car wash, mechanics, area boys all come at higher price 'because na jeep'.

PROS:
The most reliable vehicle you may even own if you practice basic car maintenance and listen to your car, because nothing suddenly gives way.

Parts replacement is few and far in between. That is a shaft replaced today will run for a long while before failing. Parts are not as expensive as the story goes. l buy my parts myself at Ojuelegba and have a reliable and competent mechanic there. Aside the AC that I had to replace (cos the dealer fouled it with fake gas) I have not spent up to N150K on parts and routine maintenance after 28 months of abuse by Lagos roads.

2002 Explorer has lots of issues mostly because it was a model change year. But things got better in 2003. explorerforum will provide you with so much more information.

My wife is a great cook having had a mom that was somewhat into catering. She recently decided to go into the catering biz in Lagos and I said to her that she needed to learn catering professionally.

Off she went to a catering school. This involved commuting 4hrs daily for six months! And I can tell you that I am the first beneficiary of her sharpened skills and unlocked creativity.

What you need to do is encourage her ... don't condemn her meals. Lovingly point out to her the alternatives you prefer. And if going to a catering school will do it, why not?

hardbody: Bros i drove on this road last week saturday and drove back on Monday (I couldn't get a flight and needed to get home very urgently and not used to public transport). Yes you are correct to some extent but we were diverted slightly before Benin to do one way with on coming vehicles because work was in progress on a short stretch. THat diversion happened again while on my return trip. However, generally speaking, the road is now a thing of joy to ply. The notorious Ore traffic will not be there again, it wasnt there when i drove through and leaving lagos at 6.30 am driving all alone, i was driving through Onitsha at about 11am and got to my Villa (Arochukwu) at 3pm. It was a marvel.

I drove myself and was not diverted all the way! Infact I was shocked to see that I did 3hrs 20mins on the return trip, and that to me is just amazing!

I did not post this to discredit anyone. I speak the facts the way they are. I was impressed by what I say on ground and I will say so. I was not impressed by Oshiomhole's bill boards around Benin showing some of the projects as his and I will say so!

The edo state government fixed a large section of Sapele road and Akpakpava road. Kindly note that fixing a road does not merely involved putting bitumen on it. The state government constructed storm drains, sidewalk and expanded the road All these are captured in the edo state budget which is still online for your verification.

Other major roads in the state like sapkoba road, siluku roads and airport road have also been expanded to six lanes with sidewalk by the state government. If you look closely at the pictures posted above, you will notice than there are additional lanes on both sides of the benin ore road (withing benin). That was done by the state government and it will includ underground drainage and side walk.

You are correct that all the major roads in benin are motorable. Infact they are all six lane dual carraige way with drainage and sidewalk. These are Airport road, Apkapkava, benin Ore road, sapele road, siluku roads. Each of these roads are around 5 miles long. Work have already started or about to start on other not so major roads like Ekenwan road, first east circuler road, second east circular road, third east circular road and Adesuwa road.

That is not to say the federal government are not doing well too. They have done really well. Infact in edo state, its like the federal government and the state government are in a competition of building roads. The federal government have done well in the benin ore road and also for the work that have started in the benin- abuja road.

You have made some good points. But I disagree with you on Akpakpava Road.

Akpakpava road modification and beautification was first done by Osunbor. It is still amazing to hear Oshiomhole claim that he did that road.

In addition, the State Govt has failed to maximise the good and wide nature of the roads. For example, one lane on both sides of all major roads are filled with sand, hence not used as a lane. The spate of parking on the roads is also disturbing. I was just thinking in my mind most of the time that if these guys get the LASTMA treatment for one month, they will repent!

FACT: The best roads in Benin are FEDERAL GOVT ROADS!

Benin Ore road goes through Ugbowo to Uselu, Five Junction, Iyaro, and terminates at Akpakpava.

Benin Asaba road goes through Depot to Agbor Park, Ramat Park, Ikpoba Hill, Akpakpava, Ring Road, Sapele Road and then on to Benin-Sapele Expressway. Note that there is a branch off of this road at Ikpoba Hill through Murtala Muhammed Road on to Sapele Road and through Murtala Muhammed Road on to Upper Sakponba Road and Benin Abraka Road.

Benin-Auchi Expressway runs through Eyaen, Aduwawa and joins Benin-Asaba Express at Ramat Park

FACT: All of these roads are currently motorable! And it is not correct that Oshiomhole fixes Federal roads in Benin. He merely plants flowers along the median and a couple of other beautification works and then claims the projects as his own e.g. Akpakpava Road through to Sapele Road.
