Car Talk / Free Automotive Air-conditioning Training Coming Up Soon by naijacarlovers: 12:48am On Jun 24, 2020
*My thoughts for some time now*

If you claim to be an auto technician as practised overseas...it's expected that you have adequate knowledge of a complete car [mechanical, electrical, Air- conditioning] for body work you can be excused...

You are not expected to hire someone to do diagnosis on AC system when a customer brings his car to your workshop for AC related issues...
How will you know the AC technician is observing the right methods to diagnose and fix without causing further damage?

Or if u hire an auto electrician, how will you know he is observing the right practice and later not cause you issues?

E.R.C (www.electronicsrepaircompany.com.ng) is offering training on: Secrets to Professional Handling, Diagnosis and Repair of Any Type of Air Conditioning Systems/Problems.

Yes 2 days is enough...with the secrets you can fix any AC system.

DON'T DEPEND ON ANYONE ANYMORE...BE A QUALIFIED AUTO TECHNICIAN.

Attendance is 100% *FREE*

Politics / Group Wants 2019 Election Deferred....see Why by naijacarlovers: 11:28am On Dec 20, 2018
A group, the NIGERIAN INDIGENOUS NATIONALITIES ALLIANCE FOR SELF-DETERMINATION has called for the deferment of the forthcoming 2019 general elections. in a well attended press conference held within the week, a proclamation was made by this coalition of different groups in an equally significant location, the Freedom Park on Lagos Island.

With figures to back up their request, the members of the coalition unanimously agreed that the general elections slated for next year in this our nation, Nigeria be deferred.

Read below the full text of the declaration as read by Dr FRED AGBEYEGBE of the ITSEKIRI NATION on behalf of all the parties.

THE DISTRESSED “FEDERATION” OF NIGERIA, THE REPUDIATED 1999

CONSTITUTION AND THE IMPERATIVE OF A PEOPLES’ COUNTERMAND

TO A PERILOUS ELECTORAL VOYAGE.

(Being A Joint Proclamation Made On Behalf Of the Peoples of Southern And Middle Belt Territories of Nigeria Proposing the Deferment of the 2019 Elections and the Immediate Undertaking of the Reconfiguration of the Damaged Constitutional Foundations of Nigeria, Presented at a World Press Conference on the 11th Day of December, 2018 in Lagos).

PROTOCOLS

Having watched in absolute horror like trapped passengers aboard the rudderless ship of the Nigerian State sailing into deeper troubled waters, by way of plunging heedlessly into further National Elections in 2019 under the thoroughly disputed 1999 Constitution, We the undersigned, on behalf of the Regional Self-Determination Initiatives across the Southern and Middle Belt Territories of Nigeria, cooperating under the aegis of the NIGERIAN INDIGENOUS NATIONALITIES ALLIANCE FOR SELF-DETERMINATION (hereinafter “the Alliance”), wish to Posit as follows:

(I) That the history of the Colonial beginnings of Nigeria as a British Business Enterprise is too well known to bear any further repetitions and so it would suffice to remind us that Nigeria was not the Consensual Project of it’s Constituent Component Nationalities and that four decades into the Lugardian Experiment of 1914, the Regional Leaders of the forcefully Amalgamated Territories had no faith whatsoever in the artificial Political Union into which their various Peoples has been locked by the British and so, while Alhaji Ahmadu Bello as Premier of the Northern Region lamented the British-Imposed Union as “The Mistake of 1914”, Chief Obafemi Awolowo had dismissed Nigeria as “A “Mere Geographical Expression”.

(II) Recently Declassified Secret Colonial Records now confirm the heavy manipulations by the British to create a lopsided Union in which what was packaged as “Independence” in 1960 was, for the Southern and Middle Belt Nigeria, merely a Transition from External British Colonialism to Internal Caliphate Colonialism, manifesting Nigeria progressively as a British/Caliphate Joint Venture holding the South and Middle Belt Territories and Peoples in Servitude. On this note, it is instructive to recall the December 1913 description by the then Secretary For the Colonies, Lord Harcourt, of the impending January 1st, 1914 illicit Annexation of Southern Nigeria to Northern Nigeria, as the British Marrying off the Souther Lady of Means to the Poor but Well-Conducted Northern Youth and to point out that it was the Celebration of this Grand Bequest that Ahmadu Bello had declared to his lieutenants in the very week “Independence” in October 1960 that “The New Nation Nigeria should be an Estate of our Great-Grand-Father Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of Power; We use the Minorities of the Middle Belt as Willing Tools and the South as a Conquered Territory; and never to allow them to rule over us; and never allow them have Control Over their Future”. (Parrot Newspaper, 12th October, 1960)

(III) We recall that as the Departure of the British drew near in the early 1950s, the Ethnolinguistic, Cultural and Religious Diversities of the Peoples of the Territory dictated the adoption of a Federal Constitutional Model in which the then 3 largely Autonomous Regions (Northern, Eastern and Western Regions) owned and Controlled their Assets, contributing an agreed percentages of their Income (15%) to finance the Upkeep and Operations of the Center (Federal Government) in the limited function jointly delegated to it by the Federating Regions and it is pertinent to note that the high Degree of Autonomy which defined this Federation Model resulted from the 8-Point Demand raised by Sir Ahmadu Bello, Premier of the Northern Region, following the Northern Opposition to, and defeat of the 1953 Independence Motion moved by Anthony Enahoro.

(IV) The Military Coups of 1966 truncated the aforementioned Federation Model, toppling and jettisoning the 5 Constitutions which defined the Federation of Nigeria (4 Regional and 1 Federal), imposing a Unitary System in which the Center (Federal), masquerading as “the Federal Government” forcefully seized, confiscated, and become the Owners of the Assets and Sovereign Rights of the Regions (fractured first into 12 States in 1967 and subsequently to the present 36 States which grovel at the feet of an omnipotent Federal Government, with a 68-Item Federal Exclusive Legislative List that render the States completely incapacitated).

(V) It is Self-Evident that this Inverted Federalism is directly responsible for the Globally acknowledged failings of Nigeria in all spheres, manifesting in Pervasive Corruption, Decayed Infrastructure, Gross Insecurity, Mass Poverty and Hopelessness, thrusting Nigeria upon the Global Podium as the Case Study of a Failed State. It is also Self-Evident that the many Regional Agitations in Nigeria, whether for Resource Control, exit from the Failed Nigerian Union or for Regional Autonomy, are basically Regional responses to Nigeria’s Inverted and distorted Federalism and therefore raise Sovereignty Questions that Elections cannot answer.

(VI) That from the point of the collapse of the Federating Constitutions in 1966, Nigeria ceased to be a Federation and that the Unitarist Country imposed by a combination of Brute Force and Guile since 1966, has become for the Constituent Component Ethnic Nationalities of Nigeria, an Occupation Force, Operating as an adverse Suzerainty in Negation and Suppression of the Collective Sovereignties of the said Constituent Component Nationalities which now feel Entrapped in the Union of Attrition and Death that Nigeria has become for their various Peoples, especially in the Southern and Middle Belt Territories which had been at the receiving end of the belligerence of a Section of Nigeria which owe it a duty of faith to kill others (Sharia) and which does not believe that all men are born equal (Feudalism).

(VII) The Simultaneous Imposition of Sharia by the 12 Contiguous States of the Feudal Section of Northern Nigeria in year 2000, rendered the already distressed Union of Nigeria practically untenable since Sharia and Feudalism are mutually exclusive with the Democracy and Constitutionalism to which the rest of Nigeria subscribe and so it became a situation an irreconcilable Clash of Civilizations with little prospects of finding any viable, sustainable resolution as no side can be compelled or persuaded to abandon their World View.

(VIII) That the Present Imposed Master-Servant Constitutional Order which emanated from the series of Decrees made between 1966 and 19and which birthed both the so-called “1979 Constitution” and it’s 1999 Reincarnation called “the 1999 Constitution” that currently defines the Union Nigeria cannot be the basis of any Democracy, for the same reasons that no Democracy could have been built on the Apartheid Constitution.

(IX) That many years of painstaking People-led Democratic Processes including PRONACO and other Multi-Regional Initiatives, to find a sustainable resolution to the Damaged Constitutional Foundation of Nigeria had been ignored and denigrated by successive Federal Governments including the Present Administration as recent as November 2018 when in far away Paris President Buhari declared that those talking about Restructuring were lazy and without a clue on what they mean by Restructuring and how it could be undertaken. A comprehensive response as to the Meaning, Contents and Process of Restructuring was raised by an Alliance Partner Organization titled : “OPEN MEMORANDUM TO PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI ON HIS PARIS QUERIES ON RESTRUCTURING”. (See link: https://www.facebook.com/618603708275794/posts/1406123622857128/).We adopt and incorporate the Full Text of the said Open Memo of November 16, 2018 as the wider Articulation of the issues around the Demand for the Reconfiguration of the Constitutional Foundation of Nigeria.

(X) It is also a matter of Public Knowledge that as a part of the aforementioned People-led Processes, the Component Regional Blocs of Nigeria throughout the Southern Nigeria and the Middle Belt had in course of the last 3 years taken their turns to Publicly Repudiate the 1999 Constitution as the Basis of the Nigerian Union and the next logical step is to Initiate a Time-bound Process for the Termination of the Operation of that Constitution.

IT IS OUR CONTENTION

That the most urgent challenge before Nigeria today is to reconstitute itself back to being a Federation as the only viable mechanism for addressing the Self-Determination and Sovereignty Issues raised by the thoroughly Disputed Constitutional Arrangements of Nigeria, NOT ELECTIONS that can only exacerbate an already bad situation. The current dangerous crossfire between Political Gladiators and the trajectory of the Political discourse in Nigeria is reminiscent of the 1962 to 1965 episodes which exploded into the collapse of the Union in 1966.

ACCORDINGLY

We Demand that in place of the General Elections Planned for 2019, a Transitional Arrangement Be immediately instituted to peacefully ease out the Rejected Untitary Constitutional Order while a body with Constituent Powers is also instituted to midwife the emergence of Successor Constitutional Arrangements according to the preferences of the Constituent Component Nationalities of Nigeria to be ascertained by Referendums.

May we inform the Political Actors from the South and the Middle Belt of Nigeria that a choice must made now between standing with the People they claim to Lead who have rejected the 1999 Constitution and any Elections Mandated by it AND standing with the enemies their People who insist on preserving that Master-Servant 1999 Constitution which enslave and impoverish the People.

Car Talk / See Why The New Mercedes Benz A-class Is Such A Gem by naijacarlovers: 9:54am On Nov 29, 2018
The new A-Class is the benchmark of the compact car class. It remains youthful and dynamic as ever, and is grown-up and comfortable like never before. Courtesy of the authorized general distributors of Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria, Weststar Associates Limited; the new A-Class is now available in the Nigerian market. Since its world premiere in March 2018 the new A-Class has solidified its position as the top choice for compact and comfort oriented vehicles with more revolutionizing technology and an increased appeal to comfort and connectivity.

Fuel consumption, combined: 5.8 – 4.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions, combined: 133 – 108 g/km*

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class completely redefines modern luxury in the compact class, and revolutionizes interior design. All models of the new A-Class are also powered by new, efficient petrol engines. And although Mercedes-Benz has retained the sporty appearance, the utility value has increased. Technologically the A-Class stands out among its competitors with MBUX – Mercedes-Benz User Experience, it offers a number of functions that were previously the preserve of the luxury class. Here are some key facts and features of the new A-Class.

The completely new multimedia system MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) in the A-Class creates an emotional connection between the vehicle, driver and passengers. It is enhanced with an inbuilt learning capability thanks to artificial intelligence and can also be personalized to the taste and needs of the driver. The MBUX multimedia system comes with a comprehensive touch operation by touchscreen, touchpad (optional) on the center console and touch control buttons in the steering wheel, there is also an optional Intelligent voice control with natural language comprehension and activation using the keyword “Hey Mercedes”. Mercedes-Benz A-Class. Interior: Upholstery DINAMICA microfibre / ARTICO man-made leather. Exterior: designo mountain grey magno
The A-Class is highly distinguished in its segment with the intelligent drive system, for the first time, the A-Class is able to drive semi-autonomously in certain driving situations. It has also been able to achieve the highest safety standard in this segment thanks to extended driving assistance systems with S‑Class functions as optional equipment. Other features like the Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist now support the driver even more conveniently in keeping a safe distance and steering, the vehicle speed is now also automatically adjusted on bends, at road junctions and on roundabouts. PRE-SAFE® PLUS can recognize an imminent rear-end collision. If the danger of a collision persists, the system can also firmly apply the brakes of the vehicle when stationary, thus minimizing the risk of injuries by reducing the forward jolt caused by an impact from the rear. There are also other additional features like the Active Emergency Stop Assist and the intuitively understandable Active Lane Change Assist.

Drivers are in for a treat as the A-Class is enhanced to give more driving pleasure and ride comfort compared to its predecessor. There is further improved suspension with MacPherson front suspension with aluminium transverse control arms and multi-link rear suspension. This is also further enhanced with 4MATIC and more powerful engine variants: four-link rear suspension. The active damping adjustment comes as an optional equipment with electronic control: in conjunction with the standard DYNAMIC SELECT (four driving modes), there is a choice of comfortable or sporty damping characteristics.

Modern luxury is redefined in the A-Class. The Avant-garde styling of the dashboard and a cockpit with no cowl create a unique architecture, the two displays measuring up to 10.25 inches (26 cm) each blend together under a shared glass cover (except with the basic variant with two 7‑inch displays) to form a completely free-standing Widescreen cockpit. There is also ambient lighting with 64 colours and illuminated air vents in a turbine look, this comes as an optional extra. There is more shoulder room (+9/+22 mm front/rear), elbow room (+35/+36 mm) and headroom (+7/+8 mm), as well as easier entry to the rear.

NFC-Controller. Digital Vehicle Key: The car can also be contactlessly opened, closed and started by means of Near Field Communication (NFC). This technology is used by the Digital Vehicle Key. The new A‑Class is now also available in Germany with a Digital Vehicle Key Sticker with a built-in NFC controller.

Speaking on the arrival of the new A-Class, MD/CEO Weststar Associates Limited, Mr. Mirko Plath declared; “The new A-Class takes personalization and social interaction to a whole new dynamic, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) gives drivers a whole new experience with the voice control feature and an inbuilt learning capability personalized to the taste and needs of the driver. The safety systems in the new A-Class are also best in its class with even more technological advancements and there is increased spaciousness in the front and the rear in comparism to its predecessor”.

With the fourth generation of the A-Class, Mercedes-Benz is redefining modern luxury in the compact class opting for a combination of uncompromisingly dynamic design and an intuitive operating concept. By focusing on people and making their lives easier, the A-Class becomes an emotively appealing and intelligent companion.

Car Talk / Nonfunctional Traffic Lights Causing Chaos And Danger On Lagos Roads by naijacarlovers: 9:42pm On Oct 24, 2018
On many parts of Lagos roads, traffic lights were installed to help maintain good flow of traffic.

Sometimes they are complimented by traffic officers from different outfits; LASTMA, LSNC, LCC etc.

Sadly for a long time now these traffic lights have brought more pains than relief and if care is not taken the matter will assume a dangerous dimension soon as avoidable fatal crashes seem likely to occur anytime soon.

This is because in many areas for instance, Apple Junction in Amuwo Odofin, and Oando Filling Station along the Lekki ~ Epe expressway, these traffic lights are not optimally working.

The major danger arises from one lane working and another not working. In most cases, the traffic controllers are not readily available to ameliorate these issues.

For instance, traffic coming from Lekki Phase 1 axis will be on top speed as the traffic light facing them is not working, yet the traffic light directing traffic from the opposite lane to cut across the speeding ones has given them a go-ahead but they are literally perpetually held bondage as the 'opposing' traffic hardly stops for them to pass not until one forcefully inches forward to drive from the Chisco axis to cross to the Oando axis.

This same scenario always plays out at the Apple Junction traffic light as the lights for those coming from Ago for a long time stopped working yet the ones directing other lanes work.

This always create a bottleneck there and endangers the lives and properties of road users as those from Ago will cut across traffic on other lanes who have the right of way.

We do hope that our government agencies will step in and help fix or replace these lights so that avoidable issues won't crop up.

Car Talk / How To Choose A Specific Roof Rack For Your Car……by Anna Wrench by naijacarlovers: 12:53pm On Oct 19, 2018
Roof Rack is a practical choice for a vehicle. These can be put to multiple uses, like transporting bicycles, luggage, kayaks or any other type of baggage from one place to another. The roof rack is a perfect choice for solving the problem of space when travelling on long road trips. Over a period of time, the roof rack seems to have evolved. Before opting for a specific rack it is important to take certain factors into consideration as there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ type.

Requirements considered:

Determining the purpose of a roof rack is absolutely essential before you conduct a search for these. As there are different materials and sizes available, this factor of requirement plays an important role in the decision of a specific roof rack.

Another factor to be considered is the type of vehicle you need it for.

Rooftop cargo carriers are apt for most cars. You can also opt for the bike-racks which are truck mounted. These offer you the freedom to cart along kayaks, bikes or even skis.

For SUV’s the hitch mounted systems work perfect. Ensure the choice made is a practical one.

Hitch mounted racks are apt for trucks. You also have the rack system which is bed-based for trucks.

Different Materials for Roof racks:

The material can play an important role in the durability and the functionality of the vehicle. Alloy, steel and plastic are three materials which you need to choose from for the required roof rack.

Steel:

Steel tends to reduce the cargo load as it is a heavy material. This is undoubtedly one of the most durable and long-lasting materials. This material for the roof rack needs to be considered only after the cargo load has been determined.

Plastic:

Of the many materials available in roof racks, plastic is the cheapest and the lightest. These might not be suitable for off-roads as it is not suitable for heavy cargo.

Alloy:

Alloy roof racks work out perfect where the balancing of the weight and durability factor is concerned. A roof rack made of aluminum is not only light in weight but also strong. Due to this apt balancing, alloy roof rack is comparatively expensive.

Different Types of Roof Racks:

There are various shapes and sizes available in roof racks. It is important to opt for one in accordance with the model of a vehicle. You can seek professional guidance so that you can make the right choice.

Bare Roof:
The bare roof rack is one of the most common roof racks and is designed in accordance to a specific vehicle. This rack can be stored when not in use.

Rain Gutter:
Rain gutter roof rack is a traditional design and is attached to the rain gutters of the vehicle. These are available in different heights.

Tracks:
This type of roof rack is installed in a factory and runs front to back. This rack is known for its versatility.

Raised Rail:
Similar to the tracks, raised rail is factory installed and is considered highly versatile.

Before deciding on a specific roof rack, it is advisable to understand the many benefits it offers. A roof rack helps in saving space. Any road trip becomes more comfortable as the passengers do not have to be cramped up with the luggage. All you need to ensure is that the baggage is strapped in the right manner and securely.

An online search conducted helps you make the right choice as you can compare the different types of roof racks. You can also think on saving some money by comparing the different prices quoted.

The Arocs can come as a platform truck, dumper or concrete mixer, it is possible to install other body applications including firefighting, mining, rescue, tank bodies, vacuum etc. It is also equipped with a 6-cylinder OM 460 diesel engine that comes with a rated power output of 310 KW (421 hp), there is a 3900 mm and a 4500 mm wheel base variant and the torque comes with a rated output of 2100 nm.

The Arocs cabs are convincing with their high level of functionality, their robustness and their striking, powerful design which reflects the dedication of the Arocs to meet every challenge in off-road transportation. With the S-cab variant, the new Arocs comes in a ClassicSpace cab 1700 mm long and 2300 mm wide, it is suited to all applications which require maximum body length – for example in the construction industry or in short-radius distribution. The S-cab also offers great all-round visibility which provides protection against collisions if space for maneuvering is especially tight. Like in the Actros, the new Arocs also has additional features which include the multifunction steering wheel with control buttons for the onboard computer, telephone, volume control and the drive systems. It also houses the instrument panel, the Bluetooth radio navigation system and the electronic ignition lock.

The Mercedes Powershift 3 automated transmission is another stand out feature in the new Actros & Arocs. The automated transmission with Mercedes Powershift 3 comes in 6 to 16 speed transmission variants, with specifically customized transmission modes for power and economy. Drivers also have the option of other transmission modes that include; Fleet, Offroad and more. Additional features in the new Actros & Arocs include the safety and assistance systems like Electric Braking System (EBS) which is incorporated with ABS and ASR. The EBS records the operation of the brake pedal, is informed about current brake pressure and adjust brake pressure if necessary. Other optionally available safety systems include Active Brake Assist 4, the Stability Control Assist system, Lane Keeping Assist and Attention Assist to minimize accident risk, this ensures the driver feels safe from the start of the journey to the final destination.

For the skeptics, here are some of the benefits of the new Actros and Arocs in hard numbers: 3-year, 450,000 km powertrain warranty as standard for the Actros and 250,000 km powertrain warranty as standard for the Arocs, 60 million kilometers of endurance testing around the globe including tropical regions, Complete drivetrain development & production 100% made by Mercedes-Benz Trucks. While in the Arocs there are extra added benefits like; best in class durable parabolic steel suspension with the widest springs in the truck industry, high ground clearance for higher robustness and all the components are designed and built for highest robustness, withstanding most extreme climate conditions, difficult terrains and demanding applications.

I jumped aboard the trucks and realized that all said about their ergonomics were all true. The drivers seats have air cushions supporting them and can be adjusted in many different ways making every trip an enjoyable one.

The steering wheel is also adjustable in different ways and is operated via a foot-operated button.

It is also worthy of note to reveal that the trucks have 3-speed reverse gears to help ensure effective use of the engine power, speed and deliver good fuel consumption. The automatic transmission can also be driven in a manual mode, just like you find the steptronic in some saloon cars.

After feeling the driver’s seats, i was taken on a ride and got to experience the trucks in action, confirming that all said were not just fluff but substantiated.

The new Actros and Arocs are now available for immediate order in Nigeria from Weststar Associates Limited with the best Aftersales service and support. Customers who acquire these vehicles can be rest assured of absolute reliability, efficiency and total cost of ownership in a whole new dimension.

Car Talk / What Is The Most Irrelevant Feature In Cars? by naijacarlovers: 3:35pm On May 23, 2018
The automobile industry since its emergence in 1886 has been at the forefront of cutting edge technological advancements.

Almost on a daily basis, there are new features or improvements to existing features being added to cars (of different types).

Some of the features are;

Android OS

Blue-tooth capabilities

Reverse camera

Parking Sensors

Satellite Navigation

Bumps Detection

19 Cupholders in one car (meanwhile the car can't seat 19 people).

Personally, one feature i do not like doing without is a sharp view reverse camera among others.

But the consumers seem not so in-tune with some of these features and capabilities.

At a press event unveiling a new vehicle in Lagos sometime ago, i challenged the sales manager why they don't import models with the same features as obtainable in some other countries and he told me that many of their clients do not fully utilize most of the features in the cars they buy from them so there was no need for them to keep selling such cars.

Do you think Nigerians fully utilize the features / capabilities in / of their cars?

Car Talk / Lamborghini Recalls The Centenario To ‘repair’ An Overweight Label by naijacarlovers: 8:22am On May 08, 2018
In the recent years, there has been a lot of recalls in the auto industry due to several reasons like faulty airbags, sticking accelerator pedals, faulty brakes etc.

Well those seem to be for the ‘lesser’cars for the ‘lesser’mortals.

Courtesy of WSupercars.

Lamborghini just separated the “boys from the men” as they issued a recall on their new Special Edition Centenario for a very, very, very, major, important incorrect label. Can you beat that?

They say that the label has an incorrect weight limit on it and this ‘anomaly’can cause the car to be overloaded, the recall states, as released by the USA’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Owners of this car will be notified by Lamborghini about this recall and dealers will install the correct certification label, free of charge.

Point to note is that only 40 of these cars were made so contacting the owners and effecting this ‘repair’should be relatively a breeze.

I know you need a quick data of its performance that can justify this special care:

770 horsepower.
V12.
2.8 seconds from 0-60 mph.

Do you think this reason is worth it or silly?

Car Talk / Re: Mysterious Signs On River Niger Bridge…..what Are They? by naijacarlovers: 9:25pm On Apr 16, 2018
nurey:

I have never seen the Niger bridge in my life but I think it's a 2 way lane without divider, so to avoid road accidents nd what not, you must not exceed the 80km/h speed. this speed has gone through vigorous technicalities before it was fixed.

so the 80km/h signifies the highest legal speed required by law on the bridge, it must only be exceeded during emergencies.

Bro please look at the picture again

You should not stop on the bridge so as not to cause back up and excess weight on the bridge suspension.

Stay running at 80+to keep traffic flowing

Correct guy.

That bridge might be the most abused bridge in the whole of Nigeria knowing the amount of slow moving and heavy traffic it is forced to bear regularly.

Please have you ever noticed these signs on the River Niger Bridge?

There are several of them especially if coming from the Asaba end into Onitsha.

Why should i drive at a minimum of 80kph?

Experts in the house should help out?

Car Talk / Why Do People Like Penny Wise Pounds Foolish Actions? by naijacarlovers: 5:01pm On Apr 16, 2018
Take a good look at this Volkswagen Golf car.

I captured this photograph along the expressway as we were stuck in traffic.

Take a look at the boot and see the large angry cow forcefully bent into two in order to fit into the small boot of the small car obviously not made to carry such loads.

Already the car has lots of loads and other passengers inside it weighing the car down and topped off with the hefty cow.

I wonder how much the driver of this car intended to make from this trip. If you look closely you will see that the horns of the cow had smashed the rear windscreen of the car completely now just leaving a hole through which the horns could fit in.

Imagine that on motion or even while standing still the cow breaks the material used to secure it, what will happen to the occupants of the car and the potential consequences that can spill over to other road users.

This boils down to the following questions;

1. How much gain will he make after replacing the broken windscreen?

2. How much will he spend to wash his car after this trip?

3. How much will he spend to fix other damages that could have occurred such as weakening of the suspension system?

4. If the cow breaks free, can the driver and the occupants survive the consequences of a potential car crash that also could potentially affect other road users?

Car Talk / Only A Car's Engine For Sale At N138,600,000....which Car? by naijacarlovers: 11:11pm On Jan 06, 2018
Someone has listed only an engine belonging to a 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari for sale on eBay at a staggering $385,000 which converted to Naira amounts to a whooping 138 million Naira.

The engine, a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 reportedly had covered only 20 miles before it was plucked out from the LaFerrari that formerly harboured it. What happened to the car was not indicated in the listing.

A brief background info on the LaFerrari.

It is a limited production hybrid sports car built by Ferrari. And with the nearly 1,000 horsepower, the car blasts from 0-100 kph in 2.4 seconds. Only 499 units were produced though an extra 1 was later made to round it off to 500 units worldwide.
