Politics / Re: FIVE (5) GEJ Appointees Who Got International Jobs After Leaving Government by Naijaepic: 10:25am On Sep 25, 2015
Please, elaborate more on their background with reference to the past portfolios before joined Former President Yaradua/Jonathan govt. If anyone of then had been working for any international organization before coming to work in Nigeria, then this headlines is misleading to say the lease.

MarshRiley:
Nigeria’s former president, Goodluck Jonathan recently described his appointees during his time in power, as a world class team.

Jonathan made the assertion when he wrote a letter of commendation to the former minister of Agriculture in his cabinet, Akinwunmi Adeshina and the former director general of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Ms. Arunma Oteh.

Adeshina had just won the race to become the president of the African Development Bank while Oteh had been appointed the Vice President of the World Bank.

1. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala: Okonjo-Iweala first stint in Nigeria’s government was under former president Olusegun Obasanjo who appointed her as finance minister in July 2003. Before then, she was the vice-president and corporate secretary of the World Bank. She was later moved to the ministry of foreign affairs but eventually resigned from the position after Obasanjo sacked her as the head of country’s economic team. She was however reappointed as minister of finance by Jonathan with an expanded portfolio that made her the coordinating minister for the economy. Yesterday, September 21, Lazard Limited, a prominent financial advisory and asset management firms that operates from 43 cities across 27 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, North, Central and South America, appointed Okonjo-Iweala as a senior advisor with focus on sovereign advisory. She was also appointed the chair-elect of the board of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, founded by Bill and Melinda Gates.

2. Akinwunmi Adeshina: Ogun state-born Adeshina served as Nigeria’s minister of agriculture before emerging as the president of the African Development Bank in May this year, making him the 8th president of the AFDB and the first Nigerian to occupy the position. Adeshina was no doubt one of the shinning lights of the Jonathan administration as his policies had a major impact of Nigeria’s agricultural sector. Before his appointment by Jonathan, Adeshina had excelled in the international stage as he was the vice president of policy and partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA).

3. Arunma Oteh: Oteh was appointed by late president Umaru Musa Yar’adua as the Director-General of the Securities & Exchange Commission in 2009. But she stayed under the Jonathan government and was stoutly defended by the Jonathan administration when she had issues with Nigeria lawmakers who went on to withhold SEC’s funds just to spite her. But she was rescued by the then presidency as funds were approved for SEC directly from the presidency. She actively contributed to Nigeria’s economic development and helped to transform the Nigerian capital markets by exposing the mismanagement that was inherent in the markets. In July this year, she was appointed vice president and treasurer of the World Bank.

4. Amina Mohammed: Another appointee Jonathan inherited from the Yar’adua’s government, she worked as senior adviser to the president on Millennium Development Goals, before she took up her present appointment where she is the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s special adviser on post-2015 development planning. Very experienced, she has been working in the field of development for more than 30 years both in the public sector and the private sector. She has also served on many international advisory boards and panels such as the Gates Foundation and the UN Secretary General’s Global Sustainability Panel.

5. Muhammad Ali Pate: Pate raised eyebrows in the polity when he resigned as Nigeria’s minister of state for health in July 2013 and resumed as a Professor in Duke University’s Global Health Institute, USA. His action then was surprising as it is not in the character of Nigerian politicians or political appointees to abandon their posts for international assignments. A medical doctor, Pate is an American Board-Certified MD in both internal medicine and infectious diseases, with an MBA (Health Sector Concentration) from Duke University USA. He also serves on the agenda committee of the World Economic Forum and he is a member of the strategic advisory group of experts.

Stop this trash about kwaran liked Saraki, believe me, he was returned to Senate because he backpack on the change mantra of APC. Assumed he had remained with PDP or joined another party at that point in time, Bukola Saraki would had been shown the way out. "Ojo nbo no Oluwa wi"

humilitypays:
During the presidential election campaign, APC and their gullible brainwashed supporters never agreed that Sarakis are a corrupt family holding Kwara State down for decades.

They hailed Saraki when he was helping them to condemn Goodluck their dreaded Igbo enemy.

Today, they are now stoning Saraki and calling him a thief just because he's not dancing to the tone of the APC god fathers, shame on you people!

The same way we have been crying and shouting that Tinubu is a thief and the father of corruption holding Lagos state down for decades now....installing his family members and puppets in every available political position, yet the gullible people of Lagos and Yorubas keep hailing Tinubu and calling him father of politics.

Tomorrow when karma start to reward Tinubu and his family, you people should please allow us to rest and carry your cross on your own.

It is only in Yoruba states that one man, one family will hold a whole state in ransom for years without the people revolting against it.

Uba family tried it in Anambra and they didn't find it funny, its high time Yoruba people wake up and stop playing tribal politics of dancing to the music played by one family for years!

It is also time Lagos people rise up and stone Tinubu and his entire family for holding State down!

Without Tinubu, Lagos state will be as developed as New York with the amount of internally generated fund....but the Jagaban has hypnotised all Lagosians and Yoruba people just like Saraki!

Politics / Alamieyeseigha And Other Lead APC In 2016 Gubernatorial Election In Bayelsa Stat by Naijaepic: 11:56am On Apr 14, 2015
There are strong indications that a former Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, is seeking to govern Bayelsa State again.

It was learnt on Monday that this time around, Alamieyeseigha, who in his first tenure, was called ‘Governor General of Niger Delta,’ wishes to actualise his ambition on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

It was also learnt that a former Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Timi Alaibe, is interested in the governorship ticket of the APC for the 2016 governorship election in the state as well.

Others said to be eyeing the party’s tickets were a leader of the APC and a former Governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva; a former Commissioner for Health, Chief Frank Akpoebi; a Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Power, Godknow Igali, and APC state Chairman, Mr. Tiwe Oruminighe.

It was further learned that Mr. Preye Aganaba, who recently lost his senatorial ambition, was being propelled by the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to go for the party’s governorship ticket.

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Alameseigha, the first elected civilian governor of the state, was seriously staging a comeback to the Creek Haven, Bayelsa Government House, on APC platform.

The source claimed the former governor and Igali were plotting to wrest power from the incumbent Governor, Mr. Seriake Dickson.

Alamieyeseigha became the first civilian governor of the state in 1999 and was re-elected for a second term in 2003.

He was later enmeshed in serious allegations of corruption and money laundering, leading to his impeachment by the state House of Assembly.

The former governor was subsequently prosecuted and convicted.

But he was pardoned by President Goodluck Jonathan, who described him as his political benefactor.

The source said, “Alamieseigha is eyeing the governorship seat. His plan is to make a grand return to the seat of power in 2016. To this end, he has been holding a series of meetings with some APC stalwarts.

“He is assuring the APC leadership that with him as governor, the militants will feel comfortable. He is saying that the incumbent governor is not liked by ex-militants, citing the clash between the governor and ex-militants over pipeline contracts,” he said.

Bros, if you are referring to this ekiti election result, then you need to update your knowledge of ratio.

In basic elementary arithmetic, 120,332 votes of APC out of 296,806 total votes cast in Ekiti state under the roof of Gov Fayose is more than 25%. And 176,474 votes of PDP is not up to 60% of total votes cast in ekiti. You can check my calculation with that of any of primary 5 pupils.

Peace.

As copy from vanguard newspaper

President Goodluck Jonathan won in all the 16 local government areas of Ekiti State in Saturday’s presidential election

The PDP candidates equally cleared all the three senatorial seats and 6 House of Representatives
seats in the state

Briefing newsmen at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office ,Ado Ekiti Sunday, the Chief Returning Officer for the Presidential election for Ekiti State and Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Technology,(FUTA), Akure, Prof. Biyi Daramola said the president and other PDP candidates won in all the 16 local government areas of the state

According to Daramola ,Jonathan scored a total of 176,474 votes to defeat his close opponent, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress,(APC) who polled 120,332 votes.

He thanked the electorates for conducting themselves peacefully during the election exercise.

Mogidi:
PDP have more than the required 25% votes in Ogun State unlike Buhari who scored zilch in the released results of Ekiti.

Buhari would never make the required 25% across Nigeria.

Politics / Young Boy Abducted, Starved, And Chained To Bed In Retaliation For Leaked Ekiti by Naijaepic: 7:19am On Feb 07, 2015
Source http://saharareporters.com/2015/02/06/young-boy-abducted-starved-and-chained-bed-retaliation-leaked-ekiti-election-riggingcopy of a petition provided to Sahara Reporters details the abduction and detainment of a young boy, Adamu Ishak Lawal Koli, at the military hospital of Adekunle Fanjuyi’s Cantonment as retaliation against his brother, Captain Sagir Koli.

Capt. Koli, the brother to Adamu.
Sahara Reporters exclusively revealed that Capt. Koli leaked audio recordings of senior Peoples Democratic Party leaders planning to rig the Ekiti State gubernatorial elections last year. The young Adamu was chained to his bed and starved as a tactic to lure his brother Capt. Koli out from hiding.

The petition, submitted to the National Human Rights Commission of Nigeria, was authored by Barrister Chief K. Akinola Ajayi, and detailed the abduction of young Adamu Ishak Lawal Koli, who was only 15 years old and chained to his bed for nearly five months.

The family was “reliably informed that their son, (the young Adamu) was seen at the Military Hospital” where he was reportedly “chained to his bed.”

Barrister Ajayi, who was sent on a fact-finding mission to the cantonment and hospital, said he was “denied access to the Young boy, as the military officers feigned ignorance of the presence of the Youngman (Adamu).”

The petition submitted to the Human Rights Commission stated that Adamu Lawal Koli is not a military officer and could not have violated any military law to warrant his detention, particularly being chained to his bed.

The petition concludes “if they found him [Adamu] in breach of any military instructions and or regulations because it would be unfair to transfer their anger against their fellow military officers to an innocent civilian.” Adamu was under the supervision of his uncle, Captain Sagir Isah Koli who was stationed at that cantonment, according to the family.

Sahara Reporters calls to General Chris Olukolade, the Director of Defence Information, were not returned after he said he would investigate the issue. Brigadier General Momoh, the supervising officer of Capt. Koli, and who was bribed by PDP leaders would not answer his phone after repeated attempts.

Brigadier General Momoh, the supervising officer of Capt. Koli, and who was bribed by PDP leaders would not answer his phone after repeated attempts.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, President Goodluck Jonathan, has said that he has fulfilled all the promises he made during his inauguration speech in 2011.

He also said the Federal Government would soon come up with an automobile policy that would ensure that vehicles would be assembled in Nigeria.

He added that the Federal Government would mandate vehicle assembly plants in the country to source 65 per cent of their raw materials within the country to boost industrialisation, employment generation and economic development.

Jonathan spoke in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, during the PDP presidential campaign rally.

The President also said if re-elected, his administration would show greater commitment to sectors that were critical to Nigeria’s economy.

He reiterated his commitment to addressing insurgency, corruption and other developmental challenges of the country.

He said the Federal Government was committed to reactivating the Ajaokuta Steel Company in Kogi State to full production capacity so that more jobs would be available to the jobless people and also to boost the economy of Nigeria and that of Kogi State.

According to him, all the legal tussles surrounding the ailing Ajaokuta Steel Company had been resolved.

He appealed to the electorate in the state to vote him for another term. He claimed that he had fulfilled all the promises he made during his inauguration speech in 2011.

Jonathan said, “The legal process of Ajaokuta Steel Company has been completed. Investors can now come in and harness the opportunities that abound in the iron ore company.

“We are coming up with automobile policy where vehicles will be assembled in the country. With that, Ajaokuta Steel Company will be empowered to produce iron sheets.”

The Vice-President, Namadi Sambo said the Federal Government under Jonathan had transformed Nigeria.

Have you seen the full CVC file provided by AIT sir?, kindly get that file to check if it does not contain IP above 254. Forget about this screen shot you provide

obynoses:
Mr.Gbenga Sesan who taught you networking? I am a better IT Expert than you are. The subnet masks are the only addresses restricted between 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255. But that is not even the point. The faked pole according to you doesnt contain anything above normal. The highest I.P address in the faked pole is 82.145.210.186 which is in a normal Internet protocol cum Transfer Communication protocol range. Why do you fools like faking reports? Please that result was faked. if you need expatiation you can contact me through my nairaland I.D let me teach you basics of Networking. Take a look at the pix and you see for yourself that non I.P octal was above 200. Meanwhile the subnet wasnt shown so shot your crap you cow.
