EducationRe: OAU Admission Saga: Aror Oghenerukewve Got 79.05% not 75.2% by naijamustsweet: 10:16am On Dec 23, 2016
Even your calculation contains an error.
8+7+5+6+5+8+7+8= 54 and not 53 you reported.
Idyllic:
The mistake is with the summation of her O'level result. From what the distinguished Prof. posted above. The summation of her O'level result should be 50/64 not 44/64. Therefore her O'level score should be 78.1%. Since her JAMB is 320/400. That is 40/50=80%. 78.1+80/2=79.05%. Which is above the merit cut off. She should be on merit list sir. cc: Seun lalasticlala

Furthermore, using the Prof calculation above she is above the merit cut off. Using my own calculations(below), she is even far above the cut off mark. Whichever one we use she is above the merit cut off.

If we choose her 8 best subjects from above, English A1(8 marks), Maths B3 (6 marks), Biology C4 (5 marks), Chemistry B3 (6 marks), Physics C4 (5 marks ), Civic Education A1(8 marks), Further Maths B2 (7 marks ), Computer science A1 (8 marks). 8+7+5+6+5+8+7+8=53, That is 53/64=82.8%.

Her JAMB UTME is 320/400=80%. (80+82.cool/2=81.4%. Her aggregate should be 81.4% sir.

Looking at her screening report below which she uploaded on Twitter, it is obvious that the computer made a mistake of computing only 7 subjects out of her O level results instead of 8 subjects. And from your calculation above sir, there is a mistake of Physics been repeated twice (even with your calculation above with Physics been repeated twice, her aggregate point should be 79.05 % sir). cc : Seun Lalasticlala Adesegunfat
PoliticsRe: Senate Cedes 20% Ecological Fund to Secure Nigeria’s Borders by naijamustsweet: 6:07am On Oct 22, 2014
Sunnycliff:
Will these really stop migration across our borders Especially in The North East Regions? I pray The ecological fund is used for The purpose already stated and not. another avenue to siphon The nations wealth by The burgoises!!
The aim is not to prevent migration across the borders but to give border communities a sense of belonging. Because most border communities are remote and rural they are usually neglected by govts in the provision of social(schools, hospitals etc) and economic (markets, access roads) infratructure.Due to poverty and frustration they become willing tools in the hands of smugglers, human traffickers,cross-border criminals etc.But if given a sense of belonging, the people become more patriotic and eschew divided loyalty while the community leaders will have an easier job of mobilizing the people away from activities that sabotage the economy and violate teritorial intergrity and cover-up cross-border banditry.

CyberWolf: The military should just stop releasing statement for now to avoid further embarrassment to this country angry
Where in the report did the military release a statement? The reporter claimed to have obtained information from 'sources' without identity, and here you are levelling false accusations.
PoliticsRe: Breaking:Defence Headquarters Retracts Statement On Rescue Of Chibok Girls by naijamustsweet:
NgeneUkwenu: It's now very clear, we have drunkards heading our military!

No wonder we are not wining this war on terror.

Why would the International Community sell arms to a Clueless and inept Army??

Everybody is laughing at Nigeria now! Yeye people!
Premium Times has succesfully fooled you and many others on this forum. Retract means to withdraw a statement earlier made. In the original story, premium times claimed ' a top military source' .Instead of you to ask premium times for the evidence that DEFHQ or Gen Olukolade actually issued any statement you are spewng insults.
The Def Hq statement is not a retraction and premium times is merely trying to cover up for their blunder instead of tendering an apology for misinformation.
May God will deliver Nigeria from all her enemies , especially enemies within.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Strange Aircraft Responsible For Building Collapse-TB Joshua by naijamustsweet: 1:06pm On Sep 14, 2014
4xit: I think wat he said about the movement of an aircraft before the collapse of the building is true, i live around the axis and many people ateast to d fact that they saw the aircraft. That aside what actually bothers me in his speech is d fact that their will be holding service there today sunday. I felt the right thing to be done is for govt to seal up the whole premises for sometime so as to allow a comprehensive investigation on the actual cause for the collapse of the building. May God repose the soul of the departed and recuperate fully the injured
Indeed a passing aircraft can generate vibrations that can be felt on the ground. The point is if we are to accept aircraft vibration as the cause, then why was the building under re-construction singled out? Why were nearby buildings unaffected? Also was approval given by the LASG building regulators before the structural amendments?

nuttyhnic: I would not, I would not!!!
Entire Bu11sh1t.

Will they treat an European, American or even someone from Cuba or chile like that?

If I were to be that 17 year old, that Egyptian airline staff that came to meet me at Lagos airport and talked rudely to my mother, I would have showed him in 1mins how I was treated in his country for days. angry
If you go to buy a ticket for Kano but issued ticket reading Kaduna and you allow yourself to be convinced that it is the same thing, then you are not yet matured for air travel.
Petitioner mentioned that the error was observed before leaving but because they lacked the patience for the return of Nzan who stepped out, this is the result.
Also for those who continually deride their govt and country on social media be prepared to receive more of such treatments if we do not change our ways.
HealthRe: Health Min. Onyebuchi Chukwu Deserves Commendation For His Fight Against Ebola. by naijamustsweet: 6:24pm On Sep 13, 2014
egift: Yes. The minister has managed the crisis well and with maturity/professionally. Whenever things are done in Nigeria without throwing ethic, regional and religious sentiments into it, we always come off brilliant.

Well done Onyebuchi Chukwu.

How I wish Boko Haram is treated as a criminal/terrorist crises without using it for 2015 reelection, demanding for loan, inflating security budget, shielding sponsors for political support, drowning Nigerians in fear, etc.
By your divisive attempt to single out the Minister for commendation, you are no different from the ethnic and religeous bigots.
The success in containing EVD goes beyond the effort of any single individual govt or institution.Let us avoid pettiness pls.

JohnnySarz: Jounalists be like "I have passion for my Job" now here's the result.. This is a warning to other jounalists to stop trying to capture a gun battle.. If he had succeeded people would have still critisized the video.. So why risk your life?
The effects of the camera is more damaging than rifles. He should not be called journalist but insurgen pls.

He is neither a journalist nor photojournalist. He is one of the criminal insurgents; however the damage done by his Camera is worse than that of rifles.
HealthRe: Ebola: West-African Nations Approach Lagos For Help. by naijamustsweet: 5:03pm On Sep 12, 2014
Ryabcool: Look, no one is saying FG did nothing. FG took charge for once and its commendable. But what is bad here is people trying to claim FG did all the work and Lagos didn't play a big role in containment. That is very unfair. Both of them deserve the credit. If other countries come to Lagos to learn, it is also a good image for the FG. Afterall, Lagos is still part of Nigeria.
Yes commendation should go to the FG, LASG and their agencies in the Health, information and security sector and the general public for their cooperation on this EVD crisis
Several attempts have been made to apppropriate credit for LASG only both by several misguided elements and APC politicians which I find uncharitable.
Is it LASG that also managed the cases at PH and Enugu?
HealthRe: Ebola: West-African Nations Approach Lagos For Help. by naijamustsweet: 4:34pm On Sep 12, 2014
Honestly, sometime I wonder the kind of educated people on this forum. You mean Lagos state can act in isolation in dealing with other countries without the permission of the federal government?

Educated? or you mean educated but ignorant. That is how to describe anyone who said it , those who believed it and those spreading the news that a foreign govt will approach a state govt for help
Soon we will hear that Siera Leone has approached Dr Adadevoh hospital for help.

Channelstv confirmed their membership of d BH Media team this morning by giving extensive airtime to a BH documentary. They are good at telling us dat govt should be held accountable for their actions or inactions but do not apply same to themselves.
