Princecalm: the Abiola nd sylvester u metioned,do they play in Europe or where?Abiola dauda plays for Vitesse in the Eredevise(holland). |
Club or country ?. If its country, then its oduamadi last year. If its Club,2 nigerians scored hat-tricks just over the weekend(Abiola dauda,Sylvester Igboun). Uche scored a hatrick in d la liga last season, and i think emenike also. |

striker9: I'm happy at the way these guys are going by there future. Long time manYeah How u doing bro ?. |
davidflipcy: are you a City fan? Am a city fanI'm not a city fan |
18yrs Old Isaac Success played 90 minutes in d la liga on sunday(Granada vs Elche). He was d Man-of-the-match,providing an assist. Success and iheanacho's development have been very fast and impressive. No way they're going to fade like chrisantus/okoro IMO. Watch out particularly for Isaac success this season.I think presently,he is Granada's 2nd choice striker. So expect him to play regularly in d la liga this season. |
davidflipcy: not talking about Guidetti am referring to KelechiYeah. From all indications Guidetti isnt staying at city this season. I hear Man City are looking for championship clubs to loan guidetti and Sinclair to.Their window is still opened. ............. Latest on Guidetti is they're sorting his paper-work. Celtic made an appeal to UEFA. His move may eventually be approved today, cos the process was STARTED last night but couldnt be completed before 11 pm which was the deadline. |
davidflipcy: @ OP since John Guidetti deal to Celtic fell through then it means Guidetti will be 4th choice for manCity . Kelechi can wait till next season . A loan deal will suit him now . Hearing he will be farmed out to City's sister club New york city FC then return for the beginning of 15/16 seasonCity wanting to farm guidetti out means he isnt in their plans |
Ahmed Musa will resume camping for the AFCON qualifiers with the Super Eagles this week in great form after scoring twice in CSKA Moscow's 6-0 rout over Rostov. Musa followed up a Bebras Natcho penalty goal to put CSKA Moscow two goals up eight minutes after the half time break. After Natcho grabbed his brace in the 54th minute, Ahmed Musa made it 4-0 with his second of the day. Roman Eremenko made it five for CSKA Moscow in the 65th minute as FK Rostov struggle to come to terms with the host attacking style. Natcho however went home with the match ball when he struck his third of the game on the dot of 90 minutes. Last season despite missing two months due to an injury Musa scored seven times in 26 games, four goals short of his tally the previous season. CSKA Moscow, pitted against Bayern Munich,Manchester City and Roma in what is been termed the group of death in the Champions League, have won two of their first six domestic games so far |
milehigh06: and how many players from the American team were MLS players and how many remained in MLS after the WC....About 60 percent of the players you listed are/were MLS players at the time of d world cup. Bradeley and Yeadlin(starters) were MLS players when they played nigeria and also at the world cup.Add them to d 3 starters u listed, So thats about half of their 1st XI MLS players. Also their best performers at d world cup were MLS players, aside howard. Dempsey,Yeadlin,Beasley and Bradeley. So i dont get ur point. |

Tom-boy to d core. |
safarigirl: the OP said the prettiest. My point isn't that she isn't pretty, my point is that she's not the prettiest.Well i havent seen a more pretty african female footballer in recent times. Maybe becos i dont really follow female football. They say beauty is in d eye of the beholder.Everybody has different opinions about what/who is beautiful or what/who is more/most beautiful and they're entitled to it. One man's angel could be another man's witch. |
Courtney dike is beautiful. One of d most beautiful african female footballer's i've seen.It has nothing to do with where she's based.Asisat is fine too,but not as fine as courtney. |
Oluwaseytiano: am not so sure. Even messi wasnt considered in 2003Chelsea were able to get a work-permit for burkina-faso's bertrand traore immediately he turned 18 last year through the special talent appeal. He had made just less than 5 appearances 4 his NT then. If they could work it out 4 traore, then there wouldnt be much problem in getting a work permit 4 iheanacho when he turns 18.He's obviously a special talent. |
Tottenham are watching Liverpool target,£2m-rated Nigerian winger Moses Simon. Spurs had the winger watched in both legs of Trencin’s Europa League qualifier against Hull – and are ready to put in a firm bid for the teenager Simon, 19, is regarded as one of Europe’s hottest prospects and has already attracted attention from Liverpool and Celtic, plus Holland heavyweights Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-watching-liverpool-target-2m-rated-4026681 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2720350/Moses-Simon-Spurs-radar-Mauricio-Pochettino-weighs-2million-bid.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 One of the more established players of Manu garba's U-20 team. Most people know Iheanacho, awoniyi, success, yahaya, but Simon has been doing his thing quietly in europe. |
wordychap: Besides, Nacho's real age is BTW 27-32, he doesn't v too many football yrs left!Like seriously ?.You look at iheanacho and say he is between 27-32 ?.Bros abeg make una dey use una common sense. Is that how 30yr olds look ?.I havent seen a 30 yr old man that is as physically immature as iheanacho. Only a dumb person would look at iheanacho and think he is up to 30.Except you're just joking. |
mikeansy: Even the young kids in Iheanacho's former academy are under one type of pressure or the other. Thats lifeGet ur facts right. At d age of 19,Messi featured at the 2006 world cup and even scored a goal.He even made his senior national team debut in 2005 at d age of 18. In between that world cup and d olympic games,he also featured for d senior national team several times. He didnt have to go through U-20 to U-23 before he could feature for the senior national team. He played for the senior national team as well as the youth teams then. Just like Musa who played several times for the senior national team before featuring at the U/20 WC. I dont buy the idea of going through all the youth stages(U-17,U-20,U-23) before featuring for d senior team. At least 19yrs is an okay age to feature for d senior national team especially when we badly need a player like him in d S.E. Omeruo and onazi were 19 when they made their S.E debuts in 2012,Musa was 18 when he made his S.E debut(even before the U/20 WC).They didnt have to play for the U/23s first. And these players aren't even half as talented as Iheanacho. Also Most of the players we took to d beijing 2008 olympic games had already featured for d senior national team already. AFCON next year might be too early but immediately after d U/20 WC,he should be integrated to d senior national team ASAP. Even presently he is far better than most of d midfielders we took 2 d WC. If you're good enough, you are old enough. |
Good to see iheanacho and success developing fast after less than a year since winning d U/17 world cup. Dont know about iheanacho but success is a player to watch out for next season. With odion ighalo leaving,i think success would replace him as 2nd choice striker to al arabi. So we may see success playing regularly in d la liga next season. |
Under-17 2013 Africa Youth Championship top-scorer Isacc Success who currently plays for Granada scored his first professional goal for the La-Liga outfit in a 2-2 pre season draw with Albacete. The 18-year-old on loan from Udinese to Granada opened scoring in the 29th minute and had a hand in Youssef Al Arabi's strike that gave them a 2-0 lead. However, Rafael Fernandez and Rueben Cruz equalised for Albacete as Granada failed to hang on to their two goal lead. Success is expected to fill the void created by the exit of his senior Nigeria compatriot Odion Ighalo who moved to English Championship side Watford. Last season upon completing 18 years, the striker rated alongside Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho as Nigeria top two prospects scored on his debut for Granada B team. He ended the season with three goals in five games for Granada's B team who play in the third tier of Spanish League. Also with less than two weeks into his stay with the team after his loan move from Udinese, Success made the bench for Granada's main team in the La-Liga twice but never got to play. Big things are expected of him this season provided he continues with his fine form in pre-season. |

Jordan Ayew's stats:-14 goals in 112 appearances 4 marseille. Is he a goal-keeper,defender or defensive midfielder ? |
Good one for him.And kudos to pellegrini for giving him this opportunity. But i agree with @Normality. They are playing him as the top 9,thats under-utilizing his abilities. Iheanacho is a born playmaker that has an eye 4 goals. Playing him up top as the striker would only allow him display his goal-poaching abilities. But playing him as a CAM behind the striker would enable him display both his play-making and goal-scoring abilities. As we saw at the U/17 world cup, iheanacho would offer more playing as the CAM or on the wings(RW). He can be a play-making winger just like David silva/Ozil/mata. At the U/17 world cup,he played mostly on d right wing, bur always cutting into the middle on his amazing left foot(just like mata when he plays on d RW).I think that would be his best position. I hope pellegrini realizes this as soon as possible.Nigeria already have enough strikers presently and for d future. But what we've been lacking since okocha retired is a proper play-maker. Iheanacho is our brightest hope. Also he'll find it easier to get playing time becos city dont really have enough options on d wings(only navas, nasri, and Silva IMO are ahead of kelechi),but they do have plenty upfront. |
sheylarhh: typical Nigerians wit dere insults ontop small mata... Compare ur luk and stature wen u were 17yrs of age wit iheanacho current luk,, den tell me wu is prooflessThat u were mal nourished or immature physically when u were 17 doesnt mean everybody was. People grow differently. At d age of 16(in SS3) i remember. I looked more matured than iheanacho. At 17 i already had some mustache and my beards were already coming out,i also had side burns and my voice was also very deep. I had 16-18 year old mates then in school that looked even more matured physically than me. So stop saying what u dont know. The only way u can prove iheanacho isnt 17 is if u're are his relation or close to him.Or if u've seen his birth certificate. |
The Blues boss was impressed with the performances of his new boys against Sporting Kansas, with Bruno Zuculini and Kelechi Iheanacho particularly impressive. Manuel Pellegrini hailed his City new boys after the Blues defeated Sporting Kansas 4-1 in their first US tour match. Youngster Bruno Zuculini, whose move to City is still to be ratified by the Premier League, scored a cracking early goal, while another young prospect Kelechi Iheanacho was also on target. More experienced duo goalkeeper Willy Caballero and midfielder Fernando got valuable game time in what was a satisfying opener for the boss. Pellegrini told MEN Sport in Kansas: "We have new players. Willy Caballero is good keeper and I know him. "Zuculini is a young player who has come from Argentina and Fernando has more experience in Europe with Porto. "Both of them had very good performances. "Finally, Kelechi is just 17 years old and he’s a very important player for us in the future. "He demonstrated today what he can do in the future. It depends on the way he takes this profession, but I think he’s a good talent." http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/manchester-city-fc-pre-season-tour-7496807 |
sheylarhh: young talent?..lwkmd... Mayb u wanna talk over-age talentMumu, becos na u born am abi ?. Whats ur proof that he isnt young ?. Nigga stop hating. |
Ideye is a prolific scorer when it comes to club. If he plays regularly,i believe he'll score 10 goals and above. He has a very good goal/game ratio in europe . Apart from last season where he played only a few games, ideye has scored 12 goals and above in every season since 2010. |
bingbagbo: He is Africa's best player currentlyBest player kor.Becos of 2 goals he scored at the WC ?. Well Musa also scored 2 goals. Gyan won't even be ranked among the among the top 10 african players. |
Abraham2013: Bros try n use google and find out. Micheal emenalo worked as assistant coach to carlo ancelotti between october 2011 to may 2012, he worked wit youth teams in Israel ( dat was were met avram grant) and USA. Also b4 becoming d sporting director, he was d chief opposition scout 4 chelsea meaning dat he studies other teams and filing in his report to d head coach b4 d match is played. He attends technical meetings as d coach plans his team based on his report. Dat was d same job AVB did 4 mourinho, dat was also d same job mourinho did 4 late sir bobby robson and van gaal in his early dayz. So u see he has worked as a youth coach, opposition scout, chief scout, assistant coach and finally sporting director. Wat other qualifications do u want?Where did i say oliseh should be assistant to keshi ?. If keshi should continue, then he should continue with his present crew. But Keshi isnt likely to continue. What im saying is if we are replacing keshi,we should replace him with a TESTED coach, not OLISEH. And oliseh if he wants should be assistant to the coach. Aside keshi and siasia,i dont think nigeria has any other decent experienced coach. If we must go for a nigerian, then give siasia a 2nd chance. But my first choice would be a tested foreing coach.Herve renard wouldn't be bad. He did well with an average zambian side and he understands african football. |
Abraham2013: Dey should start as assistant to who, Keshi or amodu?Wonder why u cant understand what im saying. First of all i didnt say they should be assistant to keshi.Secondly Does emenalo coach players at chelsea ?. He is the sporting director.Only in charge of scouting players and transfers. That is far different from coaching a group of players of different kinds. That he is a good scout doesnt mean he'll make a good coach. Has he ever coached ANY football club or team and succeeded in d past ?. Same with oliseh. The likes of Jaime redknapp and Gary Lineker are also great football analysts even better. But that doesnt mean they'll make good coaches. You'll hardly hear england fans calling for them to be coaches. Anybody can analyze football according to his own opinion, but not everybody can manage a group of players. You think Coaching is just about tactics ?. I dont think Emenalo would even agree to coach nigeria. He is a sporting director and thats his line, might not be coaching. He is the kind of person u make NFF president not COACH. On oliseh,if he's too big to be assistant coach or coach the youth teams for a start, then we dont need him. I'll rather have siasia who is experienced in the coaching line as head coach than those two. Or best appoint a tested foreing coach. |
Abraham2013: How many U17 and U23 did keshi coach b4 he was made assistant to amodu?keshi started as an assistant.he wasnt made d head coach straight.thats how it should be.Like i said The likes of emenalo oliseh should start as assistants 1st,not head coach. |
Abraham2013: Personally I tink keshi started well and ended badly. We should get our priorities right. Do we want a coach dat will win d nations cup 4 us and post an average performance in the world cup or confed cup, den we should keep keshi cos dat is only wat he can deliver. But if we want to win d nations cup n get to d semu final, den we should look beyond keshi cos he does not hav wat it takes to compete at d world stage. Same technical n tactical mistakes he made @ d confed cup is same mistake he made @ d world cup. A coach u abandon d players and formation dat won him d nations cup only to call up some part time footballer during d cup is not wat we need. If babatunde micheal, ucheabo, nwafor, ruben gabriel, were gud players, y did keshi not use dem to prosecute d world cup qualifying?Lmao so oliseh emenalo are the coaches that would win the afcon and take nigeria to d semis ??. I laugh in spanish. How many teams have those 2 people coached ?. FYI oliseh and emenalo have little or no coaching experience and u feel they would win d afcon and take nigeria to d WC semis ? Its one thing to be a good analyst, its another to be a good coach. Analyzing football on t.v is different from coaching a football team. Some very poor coaches are good analysts. Oliseh should coach one of the youth teams(U-17 or U-23) 1st to know wether he is a good coach or not. Cos for now,we only know him to be a good football analyst. If he succeeds with a junior team, then we can CONSIDER making him the coach of the senior team.Or he can be made assistant coach. You cant just appoint someone with little coaching experience as the coach of the senior national team, same with emenalo. Emenalo is just the sporting director at chelsea and also the chief scout. He is NOT a coach. Emenalo and Oliseh are the kind of people you make Technical assistants NOT head coach. |
