manu garba should seriously caution musa mohammed.. all those his overlappings should stop... he should remember that he is a CB and stop exposing the defense.... infact he should be told never to cross the centre line in exception of corner kicks.... and possible during last ditch efforts to equalise
He is not a CB, He is a RB. They are meant to overlap

BREAKING !!!!!!!! Moses Simon has been nominated for Young Player of the Year in Belgium. The other nominees are Youri Tielemans ( Anderlecht), Oulare (Club brugge).
what's amazing is that Moses simon has spent just 3 months in the Belgian league.
Still he gets nominated for these awards ahead of those that started the season.

Oops.
Oshaniwa and Mohammed as full-backs would be fun to watch! And Enyeama's club can't refuse to release him for the Olympics because it's now listed in FIFA's calendar.
Even oshaniwa sef is not that good. Nigeria have some very decent young LBs in Europe ATM. 19 yr old Kingsley Madu is one of them. PSV and Ajax are gunning for his signature, reportedly.

Hoffienheim has the 2nd best youth setup in Germany after Bayern. So I hearc

Moses is yet to prove himself. The rest of the boys are tested and trusted. Forget Belgian league. If Awoniyi, Musa Mohammed, Idowu, Mathew and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi fail to go the world cup.. I will be very sad. Awo is the man, Mohammed is indispensable, Idowu is a workaholic, he covers every blade, Mathew and Ifeanyi.... i cant say more, watch the two with their one-two passes, vision and defence splitting passes. I would prefer Mathew to Iheanacho.
Moses simon only joined gent few months ago. Despite that he was nominated for the Best black player in belgium award. He finished as runner-up ahead of Man-U and chelsea target Youri Tielemans(of Anderlecht), despite playing in the league for just 3 months( the rest played full season). E no easy.

New Zealand here we GO!!!!!!
Would likely play in the UEFA champions league next season. His team Gent are currently on top of the belgian league, with 3 matches left.

1. Nwakali
2. Ndidi
3. Awoniyi might be in great form, but i don't agree he is better than success. A tie for me.
4. Its between Moses simon and Yahaya. Moses is more established and experienced, but i don't think he is better than Yahaya in terms of abilities. Yahaya is a better team Player
5. Iheanacho of course.

ok...what role does Moses play?
Moses plays as a Left winger primarily, he could also play on the Right too. He is not a CF.
I don't even think Moses Simon would be a starter sef. He'll have to battle musa Yahaya for the Left wing position.

THE TEAM IS TOO RICH.

I am recently getting addicted to this page or thread. It's so lively and lovely that we are anticipating "success' for the lads in NZ. But we need to ask ourselves some few questions? What of if they fail the expectations? Are they gonna be discarded? Is there career over with the Flying Eagles?
We need to consider both sides of a coin. We are wishing the Lads to succeed, but we shouldn't put all our Oranges in one Basket. If the Lads fail (God forbids) we should still stick to them and keep developing them.
We understand their potentials and talents, thus we shouldn't condemn them if it turns against our expectations of them.
Good day peeps.
The primary purpose for all these youth competitions shouldn't be to win the trophy. The primary purpose should be to discover great talents, with great potentials that would be capable of replacing those in the senior team.
There are alot of factors that could prevent a team from going all the way in a tournament.Sometimes the best team don't win tournaments.
I believe this team has the quality and the right mentality to win the trophy.
But If they can get to the semis, playing the good attacking football they play, i'm okay with that.

the entire team will be sacrificed just so Messi can help us win the world cup after scoring 20 goals grin
Godwin and ezeh, Iheanacho are wingers / AMs basically. As a matter of fact awoniyi is the only real out and out striker in that team(with muzaam, who has been average) . What if awoniyi gets injured or suspended ?. Who replaces him ?. We were able to go all the way at the U17 world cup because we had a quality back up Centre forward in awoniyi, so when success got injured, we didn't really miss him.
I think that should be the same case here.
It won't be adviseable to go to a world tournament with just one quality out and out striker.
Of course Awoniyi is sure to be our starting no. 9. Everyone is fine with that. But who deputises him ?

If Success isn't going to make the final list simply because of reporting late to camp, Moses simon too shouldn't. Thats justice.

I hate injustice not Baba Success.

I do not understand the basis for clamouring for someone who has not played with the team since 2013 and has not even bothered to follow up with their progress since then.

He has failed to contact any of the team handlers, he has most likely lost touch with the entire team and will probably ruin their cohesion and worst of all, he hasn't played a game in 2 weeks, for all we know he's not fit.

And you're going to drop 2 dedicated players one of whom could have remained in his team, FC Porto just chilling until something happens, but instead made it to camp on time. Two players who have been busting their azzes and scoring goals even, for someone who you're banking on based off his performance at the U-17 AYC?

Dude, If Saviour and Chidera were your relatives, you wouldn't be talking like this. There is nothing placinng Success above those guys at all

A player who failed to keep in touch all this time only to come and gatecrash the party at the last minute does NOT deserve a place and I hope he doesn't get it and if he does, I hope he has a terrible tournament like he did in UAE cuz that would be Karma doing her thing.
That's harsh. He didn't sign himself, granada are his employers. He cant just walk out on them just like that without their permission. Granada has the final say as to when success leaves the club, NOT success. Like someone said, among the Flying eagles, Only success and Moses simon are playing professionally for the 1st teams of a european club. So their cases are different from the others.
Iheanacho is only playing for city's youth teams NOT the 1st team.
Gent said they'll only release Moses simon on the 25th of May. Only 4 days to the tournament. If despite that, manu still got his name as a sure banker to make d final team, why should success' case be different ?. And mind you Moses simon is very allien to the philosophy of the team, he has never played with the team, success has. As for the 'calling' matter, we're not sure about that. And even if its true, there could be reasons.
In december, Success was demoted 4rm the 1st team to Granada B in the 3rd division, simply because he resumed a little bit late after the la liga break. It took him months to fight his way back again into the 1st team. Any slight shit from him could ruin his club career.

Ibe is a winger or wing back which relies heavily on pace and which is far different from Iheanacho who is a support striker. Now since pre-season Iheanacho hasnt played, and having the choice between Ibe or Ambrose, I wont pick the Celtic player.
True on Ibe.But
In the U-17s Iheanacho Played as a Right Winger always cutting into his left foot, just like silva at city before they changed formation or Ozil at arsenal sometimes. And thats the position he has played in all nigeria's matches.
That said, Ibe is a player with great potentials. And i think it would be great to have both ibe and Iheanacho in our National team. But that seems very unlikely. Ibe is 90 percent English. He'll choose england over nigeria.
But There is bo harm in trying. The NFF or keshi should show interest first.

Yeah I'm talking of Ike Uche the one that playing in Spain (Villarreal)
Okay Uche isn't having a good season. He's scored 6 goals in over 20 apps. Plus he has gone down d pecking order of CFs at villarreal. Inform youngsters Luciano Vietto and Gerrard Moreno are now ahead of him. Prolly Old age catching up.

1, Am yet to think when last Iheanacho kicked a ball in anger, Whereas Ibe plays
2, They do not play the same position
3, Ibe's age can be verified compared to the other Nigerian
4, You dont beg, you send an invite
Iheanacho has been injured since January, which has slowed his developent. He prolly would've been loaned out like nwakali if not for the injury.

I assume Nwosu was talking about their abilities. Which has nothing to do with wether iheanacho has been playing or not.
Nwosu probably have seen both players play to conclude that Ibe is not better.
IMO(from what i've seen of both players), Ibe is just like your normal pacy English winger that relies mainly on pace. Iheanacho applies more of brain, his play is more mature and is ahead of ibe technically and in terms offootball intelligence.
Ibe is similar to d likes of sterling, lennon, walcott e.t.c
Iheanacho's play is similar to d likes of Silva, Ozil, J.Rodriguez.

Btw Fantastic MOTM Performance by Isaac Success for Granada against Sevilla in d La liga on Sunday. Was unstoppable against d sevilla defence and Deserved to score a goal or two
But Personally, I don't think granada is a good club for Success or any nigerian striker.
They make Good strikers look shit becos they are a team with poor midfielders that don't create chances.
In d game on sunday success was d one doing everything. At times due to no supply, he had to drop deep to d midfield to get the ball and create openings for himself and his teammates.
No creativity in that team at all.
Thats why he keeps performing well but struggle to score goals.
If he was in a midtable team like Malaga or Sociedad, im certain he'd have scored 8+ goals by now.

Do u mean Kalu Uche or his brother IK. Uche ?
Kalu uche just joined Levante from Qatar in January and is doing quite well, playing as an AM/supporting striker.i think he has scored 5 goals in d la liga so far, with about 3 assists.
His brother Ike. Uche isnt having his best of seasons. He has scored 6 goals in over 20 appearances for villarreal. A shadow of his last season's performance where he scored 14 goals.

Updated.....
Aubameyang solidifies his spot as africa's top scorer in europe's top 5 leagues by scoring in Dortmund's 3-1 win against padeborn on saturday in the bundesliga.

Senegal's Mame biram diouf moved 3 places Up(From last week's 10th to 7th) After scoring the equalizer in Stoke's 1-1 draw against southampton on Saturday.

Ivory coast's Alain Gradel moved from 4th position to 3rd after scoring from the spot in Saint etienne's 2-2 draw against lyon on Sunday night.

The rest of the players on the chart couldn't add to their goal tally over the weekend.
No new player on the chart as it was a barren (goal-wise) weekend generally for african players in europe.
