unless we make drastic changes in terms of the players we field in our games by bringing in new and uncapped quality players no coach will go anywhere with the current pool of players we've been parading for the last five years even before keshi took over, we are deceiving ourselves thinking its just a coaching problem.

Everyone taught moyes was the problem at manu u until van gaal came and the trend continued, it took the coming in of players like di maria, falcao, blind and others for several millions of pounds to try and remedy the situation at least for now.

we need new and uncapped players now, if not any new coach will just continue the trend we've been seeing of late.

I dont think our primary problem is players.
We're are not talking about the world stage.we're talking about africa now.
We have a great amount of relatively quality players to at least compete on the african stage.
Does congo have better players than nigeria ?.
Does south-africa have better players than nigeria ?.
Does sudan have better players than nigeria ?
Yet these teams are doing better than us currently.
Bro players isnt our main problem.
Our main problem right now is simply the coach.

Like alot of nigerians i'll like mikel to be benched today,but like @teebun said,keshi won't bench mikel.
Personally i'll love to see a midfield trio of Onazi-Lawal-Igiebor,but keshi would most likely start onazi-mikel-igiebor.

Ghana wasnt even his 2nd choice.He was eligible to play for 3 countries,and he said ghana wasnt even in his consideration.
Germany was his 1st choice,Morocco his 2nd.

29yrs old Batholomew ogbeche continued his fine form in the dutch league by scoring a brace and providing an assist in Camburr's 4-1 win over dordecht.
Ogbeche who made his world cup debut for nigeria in 2002 at the age of 18 has now scored 5 goals in 8 appearances this season,with 2 assists to his credit.
He is now the joint top scorer in the league with Memphis Depay and 2 others.
Camburr currently sit in 4th position on the league table.

Dele Alli,Aneke,Akpom,Jordan Ibe,Ilori,Onuoha are all still eligible to play for nigeria.
All of these players havent decided their international future yet.
We are the ones dulling.
We're probably waiting until they become world class stars like alaba before talking to them.
It won't work that way.
By the time Akpom becomes arsenal 1st choice striker or Delle ali breaks into d liverpool squad,it would be too late.Cos england would cap them immediately.
Now that they aren't yet established but showing huge potentials is the best time to at least start convincing them to rep naija.

23 yrs old Sammy ameobi,Younger brother of Nigeria International Shola ameobi provided the assist for pappis cisse's equalizer with a sublime left-footed cross against swansea.
Ameobi replaced Gouffran on the 69th minute and was a constant threat to swansea's defence.

Victor Moses who was recently re-called to the eagles for qualifiers against sudan was subbed on the 18th minute after picking up an injury in the stoke vs sunderland game currently on.
Before his injury Moses once again was the creator of stoke's goal.
Beating gomez and sending a pass for adams to finish.
Stoke are currently loosing 2-1.
They're Already missing moses.
Its now 4 assists in 6 appearances for moses this season.
But the bad news is that moses may not be available to play for nigeria in the crucial qualifiers against sudan coming next week.
Hope keshi replaces him with Chinedu Obasi.

Goke7: stop defending emenike please how long are we going to keep accepting mediocre performances from our players and turn around to blame the coach or their mates in the team? is that the reason emenike showed up late to the camp for match against congo thinking it will be a stroll in park?

Just stating d fact.
You were like he is also experiencing a drought at fenerbahce.
And i replied that 1 goal in only 3 starts this season isnt a drought.
He scored about 15goals in total last season.
I strongly criticized keshi for not inviting abiola dauda who is our most in-form striker in europe or uche/martins.
But i tell u put any of these strikers in our current team without creativity,they won't score too.
If emenike has been getting chances in matches and fluffing them or missing 1-on-1s/open net like ideye,that would be another thing.
But i cant remember when last emenike was provided a clear-cut chance at goal in the national team.

Must everything turn personal? He is not the only Nigerian professional abroad and so he can leave when he chooses.

He didnt score,but the 2 assists he provided(for osaze and musa) where as important as any goal he could've have scored.

The turkish league season is only a month old.
Emenike has started 3 matches this season and has scored 1 goal.And thats Not bad.
No fenerbahce player has scored more than 1 goal this season,including his strike patner Moussa sow.

abatically: Only u reason here. That dude has dropped form since afcon success. Now he feels he is big and he's even no longer a team player, shooting when he should have passed and making a useless run when he should shoot.

No doubt he had a good afcon and won the heart of many Nigerians, but since he came back he has been poo really. Even at the world cup, his body language towards players like Ramon azeez and babatunde shows he is very proud and thinks the team is all about him. Our opening game against Iran is a good example. That evil look on azeez when he misplaced a pass. And then he had an argument with babatunde and others in subsequent matches. Abeg make him quit if he want. Terrific player but bad attitude.

I agree with emenike on this.He aint no magician.when theres no creativity in the team,it would be hard for him to score.though he didnt score at d world cup,he was one of our most important players.Who created d goals we scored at d world cup ?.We scored 3 goals,emenike created 2 out of the 3.
Due to lack of supplies and creativity from d midfielders,emenike who is supposed to be d finisher,takes up d creative responsibilities.
also its wrong to say emenike didn't perform after afcon.Emenike almost single-handedly qualified us for d world cup.Forgotten d brace against ethiopia and goals against malawi ?.
In all i think if we sort our creative problems,emenike would start scoring again.

Good part of this list is the return of a currently in-form victor moses,Inclusion of Hope Akpan/raheem lawal(decent defensive midfielders needed to give onazi more freedom in midfield).Though, dont be surprised if keshi decides to play either of both behind emenike as the attacking/creative midfielder over Sone aluko.

Bad part is:-Emenike is currently experiencing a drought and not in form.And as seen from our games against congo and SA,We badly needed another clinical finisher to at least support emenike.So who does keshi invite ?.

OP you should compare Di maria vs Hazard(winger vs winger) or Diego costa vs Falcao/vanpersie(striker vs striker)if na Man-U vs chelsea you wan do),not striker vs winger.
Di maria is a creator,Costa is a finisher. Different abilities.Though there may be very few similarities.

Comparing costa and di'maria is like comparing Yaya toure and hazard

Costa can score more dan di'maria, u expect a striker 2 attack more often dan a winger

di'maria av pace dan costa, u know its normal 4 wingers 2 be d most pacy players.

They can both dribble but di'maria is better in dribbling. U expect a winger 2 dribble, cut-in and shoot.

Costa av an excellent positioning, tell me, do u expect a winger 2 position himself 4 ball frm teammate, rather a winger fight 4 possesion.

Dere is no cutting edge 2 compare d 2 players. Dey are better dan eachother one way or d other by d virtue of d position dey played and nt by dere ability.

The only obvious similarity is costa av more work rate, aggression dan di'maria.

Di'maria always get tired easily

I remember hw onazi charged di'maria with pace, tackle and aggression(Nigeria vs argentina) he lied on d field immediately d ball went out of throw.
