An FCT High Court in Jabi, Abuja has suspended Adams Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The veteran who has been less than healthy for a while now finally took a bow in a Lagos private hospital.


According to actress Foluke Daramola who took to her page to break the news, the actor's death was after another brief illness.


"BREAKING NEWS! Our model veteran actor Pa kasunmu Kayode Odumosu finally takes a bow. It is with so much heavy pain in our hearts that we regret to announce ur in Para, that our #paraafricafoundation model actor Pa kasunmu has given up the ghost after a brief illness." She announced.



Foluke Daramola also added that update on the burial arrangement would be passed across.

Media personality, Abike Olawuni calls out her stepfather for allegedly assaulting her mother (video)


Media personality Abike Olawunmi cried out for help on Instagram, claimed that her stepfather recently assaulted her mother even though she just had a second baby for him through C-section.


Helpless Abike stated that she doesn't want to sit back and watch her mother die in the hands of a "wicked man".



She wrote;



I do not see myself doing this years to come but I kept occurring and it's really breaking me knowing that my mum is not in safe hands and it possible she might die in this situation that she finds herself in. my has been suffering domestic violence from my step dad for years now and I've been trying to fight for her but people kept saying I'm doing too much that it's in no way my business but she is dying how am I suppose to watch her die in the hands of a wicked man. the last one which happened last night was really disheartening meanwhile my recently just had her 2nd baby for him through operation,he still had the gut to beat her till started bleeding.we ran to the police station near us they didn't open the gate we stood there for over and hour no one came to her rescue.


She went back day break to report they happened to know him when they called him,they swiped it under the ground like it was nothing serious. She is already packing out,the heart breaking part is knowing we do not have anywhere to go from here,along side her 2years old baby and weeks old baby plus me.



He doesn't even care he kept saying it that she should leave with the child whenever he is angry he flings Akorede who happens to be the first child my mum had for him. please at this point I need help,I have been trying to work hard to ensure this suffering doesn't last forever but it now looks like God is behind this.

Coronavirus: This is how Nigeria prepared for coronavirus and why it might just avoid a major outbreak


Nigeria reported Sub-Saharan Africa’s first coronavirus case on Friday (Feb. 28), an Italian business traveler who arrived from Milan. This interview with Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu last month explains the country’s preparations ahead of time.


What measures need to be put in place to contain the virus?

The novel coronavirus is ‘new’ and we’re learning more about it nearly every day. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has established a ‘coronavirus preparedness group’ that includes representatives from Port Health Services of the Federal Ministry of Health and other stakeholders. It meets daily to review the situation globally, assess the risk of spread and improve on Nigeria’s level of preparedness based on new findings and insights.


At the points of entry, screening has been heightened, particularly for passengers coming from China. This includes temperature checks, specific questions on known symptoms of the novel coronavirus and travel history.

We have also provided a public health advisory to Nigerians on what to do if they suspect that there is a case of coronavirus as well as how to protect themselves.


Over the last three years, we have focused on strengthening our emergency coordination, surveillance, public health laboratory and risk communications capacities. We continue to build on this to ensure that we are better prepared in the event of an outbreak.


What systems, already in place to deal with Ebola, will come in handy? What more needs to be done?


One of the key lessons from our response to the Ebola outbreak was the need to build systems in ‘peace time’ that can be used during outbreaks. Over the last three years, we have strengthened capacity at our National Reference Laboratory to provide molecular diagnosis for all epidemic prone diseases and highly infectious pathogens such as the Ebola virus.


For coronavirus, the capacity to test depends on laboratory equipment, primers specific for pathogens and technical expertise. At the moment, we are receiving advice from the WHO on gaining access to the primers to be used for this ‘new’ virus. Our National Reference Laboratory is the system in place for diagnosis of pathogens such as the coronavirus.


We have also supported 22 states to establish emergency operations centres. These serve as coordination platforms and are networked to our national incident coordination centre. Each state is better prepared to coordinate within and across their borders in the event of an outbreak.


We also used lessons from the Ebola outbreak to strengthen our risk communications capacity. We recognise the critical importance of ensuring members of the public are equipped with the right information. In the last week, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has issued a public health advisory to Nigerians informing them of our preparedness and how to stay protected from coronavirus.



In December 2019, we completed the training of rapid response teams in all states in Nigeria. All 36 states have a team ready to be deployed in the event of an outbreak.



Overall, we continue to build strong systems that will enable the prevention, early detection and prompt response to infectious disease outbreaks.


The Ebola outbreak prompted the governments of many African countries to invest in the establishment of National Public Health Institutes. In these countries including Nigeria, the capacity for outbreak response is better streamlined with a clear coordination platform.


Large scale outbreaks require a high level of technical expertise, financial resources and other systems to quickly control. These institutes ensure that countries do not have to wait till there is another Ebola outbreak, before identifying resources for response.


The Ebola outbreak taught us a lot of lessons, including the urgent need for overall health system strengthening. This has improved in many countries, but with a lot of room for improvement.

The father has taken to facebook to announce the death of the baby who died after being sick for somedays, according to him he took it to be a minor sickness before the tragedy happened. He's really down as he begs God to give his son back to him fir he wants him back.

The husband of popular Nigerian Actress Ngozi Ezeonu, Edwin Ezeonu has rained curses on his daughter for getting married without his consent


It appears Edwin cannot take the pain and bitterness his daughter and wife has put him through. For getting married without his full consent, despite ‘all he did for her’.


The heated argument started about two weeks ago, when Ngozi Ezeonu gave out her daughter’s hand in marriage at a glamorous ceremony without telling her husband at Asaba, Delta State.

According to the father, his daughter is still not married because the marriage has been cursed.

.”This woman, Ngozi Denis Ikpelue has no legitimate right and authority to give out Ogechukwu Edwina Ezeonu’s hand in marriage. I call her by her father’s name because we are divorced and she no longer has the right to bear my name since 2013.

However, as long as I and the entire family of Ezeonu and his kindred are concerned, Ogechukwu Edwina Ezeonu is not married. That union is cursed. It is a taboo!

I hear people saying, I abandoned my children. I never did. I took care of my children, I visited Ogechukwu is school, even when she was boarding, I paid their school fees, supplied them food stuff, made sure I sent money into Ngozi’s account monthly. The least i sent to her is N400,000. When it became glaring to me that Ngozi was mean on taking the children away, I reduced my financial assistance. But I still kept in touch,” he stated.

A man named John Cornelius has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his friend, Stephen Emmanuel-Tarfa’s 4-year-old son, David, to death in Yola, AdamawaState.

The duo used to be besties for years but grew apart over the years, only for the suspect to suddenly resurface on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, and asked to be allowed to pass the night at his friend’s house.

Cornelius, however, extended his stay till Thursday night and Stephen reluctantly allowed him to sleep over because he was showing signs of being suicidal.

It was gathered that tragedy struck on that Thursday night as the visitor brought out a knife and stabbed David several times in the neck before his dad could intervene.

The boy later died at the Peace Hospital while the suspect was apprehended as handed over to the police who are currently investigating the motive behind his action.

A social media user identified as Amaka Mmadueke broke the sad news where she even added that late Amarachi Joy’s father, slumped on the ground and died after he heard the news about her daughter’s death.


She revealed that both father and daughter died on the same day.


According to the user, she is very devastated and still in shock over the demise of the lady.

Florida woman zips boyfriend in suitcase, leaving him to die

A Florida woman who allegedly zipped her boyfriend in a suitcase and left him there to die was arrested Tuesday in his killing.

Sarah Boone, 42, of Winter Park, Florida, is under arrest for second degree-murder in the death Monday of Jorge Torres, Jr.


According to Boone said she was playing a game of "hide-n-seek" with Torres when she zipped him into a suitcase, thinking it would be funny, according to a report by the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Boone and Torres had allegedly been drinking alcohol, and she said she went upstairs while Torres still in the suitcase and passed out.

Waking up to her cellphone ringing multiple times, Boone said she realized Torres was still in the suitcase, where she found him unresponsive, according to the report. She called 911, and emergency responders who came to the home confirmed Torres had died.

The sheriff's office said Boone's statements have been "inconsistent" and that on cellphone footage Torres can be heard screaming for help in the suitcase while Boone chides him.

Torres yells out Boone's name, asking for help, to which she replies, "For everything you've done to me. F--- you," apparently laughing, the police report said.

"Yeah, that's what you do when you choke me," Boone said, adding, "Oh, that's what I feel like when you cheat on me," according to the sheriff's report.

The footage also shows Boone telling a pleading Torres to "shut the f--- up," and shows the suitcase moving as Torres apparently tries to get out of it.

Rapper Pop Smoke took to Twitter to share a tweet, he had no idea that would be his last tweet ever. The rapper was shot dead in his Hollywood Hills home shortly after he shared the tweet and fans are in shock.


TMZ said that two masked men wearing hoodies broke into the rapper's home early Wednesday morning, February 19, firing multiple shots before fleeing the scene on foot


"The rapper was at his home in the Hollywood Hills at around 4:30 AM when 2 men wearing hoodies and masks broke into his house. We’re told the 2 men fired multiple shots, striking and critically wounding Pop Smoke. The men were seen fleeing on foot," TMZ reports, citing law enforcement source.


Footage of first responders attempting to perform life-saving techniques on the rapper, as he’s being wheeled out on a stretcher to an awaiting ambulance, has been shared online.


Pop Smoke was reportedly rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was pronounced dead.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Oseni has died.

The actress died on Monday, February 17, 2020, in Calabar, Cross River State. Her daughter, Augusta Akomolafe confirmed the actress' death to the National President of AGN, Ejezie Emeka Rollas.

Oseni was a member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and the organization is mourning her demise.
