Oh this made me smile....it really did. I see more negativity towards Somalis on nl than anything else all because of an idiotic troll so it really made smile to see some positivity. Thanks op! I'll add some too if pos |
pleep: ^ Whyjust saw your post because you didn't quote me. What makes me sad is that I see a lot truth in this thread however its something we can't change or do much about because much of it is due to history which again we can't change however we definitely need to recognise it in order to go forward. Our people need education and not just academic but also our history and how Africa became the way it is today and how we should carry ourselves from here on up. |
ogtavia: Pls what's d difference between a visitor and a guest?I don't know maybe guest is one you have invited and can stay for longer and visitor Is one that has just popped over possibly unannounced and won't be with you for long. I don't think that is the difference interms of the English language but hey let's say that it is, lol |
wiringdpt: Nicenice to you too lol |
Kajiang02: This got me thinking though. Wish everyone in Somalia would embrace this kinda attitude, guess there won't be fighting anymore, but rather peace in the Land.wish everyone in every country would be more open minded not just in Somalia or Somaliland where I hail from. Would make the world a much better place. Here's to peace between all ![]() |
Well surely the house help should come from me the wife. Something's the husband shouldn't get involved in, like bringing another woman into my home and around my kids and hubby then I will be the one that makes that decision. On a side note, iv always thought that it must be difficult to keep a butt like that clean, yknow what I mean. Its like the first thing that comes to my mind when i see someone with huge buttocks, it should be noted that im a bit of a clean freak, so im always thinking about how to keep things clean. Anyone else think like me or am I the only weirdo? |
There must be some sort of psychological situation there. I mean for someone to go to such lengths is just ridiculous. Reminds me of the American cat man who died recently by committing suicide. He went to all that trouble to look like a cat and killed himself. Possibly because he didn't like himself and wanted to change so bad he probably feels he will find happiness that way and eventually when it doesn't happen it always ends the same way. Just sad. |
logica: You should've ignored that m0ron.thanks its ok sometimes you gotta kill them with kindness |
wiringdpt: Somalia to Nairaland? Interesting, una no get forum?no we do have a forum and I'm a member there also but I just like to interact with people outside of my country to broaden my horizon. Interaction with people outside of your own community helps you to be more open minded and accepting of others and their ways. |
Emmaesty: U have a wonderful culture. If only some Nigerian cultures were like this, we'd have a cleaner countrythanks but it can be a nightmare when you are just chilling in your house maybe planning on a nap and someone knocks on your door and not only do you have to open the door but wait on them too with a smile on your face and they have full right to roam ur house as they wish. Iv had this a couple of times and though it was an uncomfortable beginning I looked back at the visit after with a smile. |
nma24: you ain't Nigerian?no I'm not... |
macof: So in the next 200yrs or so your descendants are free to denounce Islam, ur language, ur fashion, ur family name etc with the excuse that "it is old and backward"If that's what they choose then who are we to stop them. |
PAGAN9JA: ok thats your choice. but dont deter others from seeing the Light of Paganism.iv never done that. Live and let live has been my moto. |
PAGAN9JA: Then applying your logic, as you know islam is outdated in todays modern era so why not leave it?Regardless of whether you think this isn't good for me and it is backwards, I believe it to be good for me and that it makes me a better person. I'm happy with my decision. |
macof: Ok this isn't really my point as bad people are everywhere.just because that was the original religion does not mean it is better off for us. People evolve over time and often leave their original ways for a better way. It is not always the best to stick to old ways whether that be religion or culture/tradition but rather to assess all that is around you, leave what is not good and often take what is good for you. If you are stubborn and stick to your old ways then you will keep yourself backwards |
PAGAN9JA: Ok everyone should be left to their own device. FIne . SO?Correction I was born into a muslim Family however choose as an adult to continue with the religion because I believe it to be the truth. As for treatment you are speaking of, I have not spoken about your beliefs and dont want to as it does not concern me. It does not affect me in any way. As for the "STEROTYPE" i dont see one. All I see is someone who clearly has deep rooted bitterness and a chip on their shoulder that is so concerned with what others are doing and allows that to affect his own actions. Don't generalise, There is no us and them only you and I. Life is too short for such negativity. Happiness lies in being content with what you are so much so that you dont even notice what others are doing with theirs. I wish you well. I dont think we are getting anywhere with this conversation therefore I bow out with my dignity intact. ![]() |
PAGAN9JA: Dont Lie. You said :Ok fair enough. I get ur point on the first part, though I didnt intend to accuse you for the sake of it but was rather trying to make point. As for the shariah mentality that you speak of, I am not trying to shut anyone up that is speaking against Islam or apostasy but my point is that everyone should be left to their on devices. No one should belittle another's beliefs. I choose Islam for myself and am not forced just like you have chosen your own beliefs.live and let live. With regards to the other experiences you have had, you should try to treat very case as an individual case. It would be wrong if I judged every nigerian by my experience with you. |
macof: No you don't know wat is best for you, this is just a woman.killed for being free by Islam, many unjust acts done in the name of Allah for lies.I beg to differ. There are many acts of evil that are carried out senselessly outside of Islam and Christianity also on a daily basis. Don't judge a religion by the followers of a religion judge the religion itself. This woman was not killed by Islam but an individual. We have to judge his actions for what they are, he has not done something that is part of the religion islam therefore no matter how much he says it is for islam , Islam is free from his evil. |
PAGAN9JA: You did not just ask me a question. You implied that I was forcing Somali Religion down peoples throats.ok. Why are so worked up? I didn't say that you were forcing Somali religion down peoples throats because now you're lying if I follow your definition of a lie. I was simply giving you taste of your own medicine which must have been bitter.what does shariah law have to do with any of this? What is this big grudge you seem to have with Somali's and Muslims? What do Somali's lie about all the time? |
hazzand16: yea u are wrong cuz d last time i cheked dis is nigeria home made forum for my fellow naija peps so just get d hell outa herelol someone needs to chill. All this because I expressed an opinion you didnt like. |
Araboy: I agree that hijab in middle east is a part of their culture more than an Islamic dressing code even a non practicinghow on earth would a Muslim woman dressed in western clothes be a better representation of Muslims. Explain yourself. |
xtervaganza: you call that little money?I didn't mean it literally but was pointing out that it is unnecessary to flash whether you have a little or a lot.BTW you are talking to a lady not a boy. |
hazzand16: watin cary u come nairaland den,I was under the impression this forum wasn't just for Nigerian's....am I wrong? |
xtervaganza: you call that little money?when I said little money I did not mean it literally for some its very important for others to be aware of their wealth so whether they have a little or a lot they make sure to show off. I have seen plenty that live pay check to pay check and use up their dosh to flash because that's more important than to invest and build up their wealth and to benefit those around them and donate to charities etc. |
I did not lie about anything, simply asked you a question. Live and let live was my whole point. As a Somali who chooses to believe in Allah I didn't appreciate your comment. I know what is best for me and that is that. |
youngmoneypi: Little money my azz..There was no hate shown bro, chill out. I just don't understand the concept of flashing money is all., FYI, I ain't Nigerian. |
Thats the most ridiculous thing I have seen. Why do people feel the need to flash what little money they have? It is soooo tacky. |
PAGAN9JA: abeg how about you STFU?Hold on now, I only expressed my opinion also. Seems there is one rule for you and another for the rest. |
PAGAN9JA: Because it is their Original Faith and better than the Religion of Allah. How about you concern yourself with that which concerns you and let people do what they wish with their own lives. You would not appreciate someone trying to force you to worship something you don't want or belittle what you believe so why is it ok for you to do so? |
PAGAN9JA: Lets pray that Somalis return to the religion of Waaq. Why? |
Bigsteveg: Was, dats nice..are u based in nigeria. No I am not. I'm in Europe. |
ignis: Boromborolol this means cockroach in my language |

watin cary u come nairaland den,
