Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by nairacrusader: 8:50am On Dec 20, 2017
I am not sure if this is related but I would really like some concrete information and advice on what I am about to type.

My husband came back last night and told me that it may be possible for us to be able to get a work permit if we enroll our son into a private school in Canada.

Our son is 3 years old. Can a 3 year old be given a student visa? If yes, I being his mum and guardian would be given what? Does anyone living in Canada or Nigeria know anything about this? If yes, what Province should I start looking for schools for him? Thanks guys smiley

U said u have about 30,000$ and someone is saying move to abuja...lol land in Egbeda lagos full plot is about 7-9million,festac ure looking at 15-30million,except you want to go to inside inside lekki, those ibeju lekki axis,u il get 4 mayb 3-5million,but be careful b4 dem dupe u oooo,i will advise u to stay back make more money and buy a property here first,9million is nothing in Nigeria now, because i believe staying away for almost 10 years u will want to rent an accommodation in a gud location,Festac where i use to stay b4 i left naija,u get a good place-two bedroom for nothing less than 800k,two years, with agent agreement blahblahblah we are looking at 2million,u will furnish the place get a generator.....by the time u look at it ure left with lets say 6million,u might need a car to move around or if ure o.k with public transport then fine, except u have someone u want to stay with.....getting a job is slim,so many graduates from u.s and u.k re all over the place especially the u.k gradutes since they cant stay back,so the competition too is high for international graduates,if i were u i will rather stay back, except u have a big plan or business that ure sure will yield profits in months,Abuja is expensive u will go broke in months if u dont have something doing........i see older folks coming back permanently and thats understandable, some come back and run back again coz they couldnt cope with naija stress again,But for a young person its alarming, because u said u av been away 4 close to 10years,why not come for a month or two and do ur survey, look around and if things wont work out as planned for u then u move back......except there is more to what ure telling us,because am in naija now n honestly i cant wait to go back to my small village where i have light 24/7,things re working, food is cheap, and life is easier, police re respectful, good roads............anyway all the best in whatever decisions u make.

Imagine I got this kind of advise 2 years ago from someone like you.! I lived in the Uk for 10 years....I'm living what you just said above. No hope for this dead-beat country...proper waste of my two years. I have all intent of going back with my son soon...don't bother relocating here bruh....seriously!

@mofedamijo- where is your little village? smiley

Rubbish. He knows whenever he says rubbish like this, he makes headlines. So he keeps saying rubbish.

I guess it's a smart business moves, which celebrity doesn't crave the spotlight?

Last time I checked we have freedom of workshop in Nigeria, if workshipping the man of God's chair works for you, go ahead.

In the Bible we read of people that roll on the altar or worshipped the priests feet. Whatever works for you mehn. When you are telling your testimony, them criticizers go come they key into it.

Rubbish.

Don't think you are right, but we all have a right to our opinions....I must admit smiley.
As for me, I'm an atheist for all of Earth's religions.... and an agnostic towards the rest of the universe; ie: the unknown. I am genuinely grateful for the same basic things you expess here, but that I don't endlessly thank some anthropomorphic 'being' for it all. And in saying that; imagine if there was a Creator; having to be thanked over and over and over again, for exactly the same thing, endlessly! It would bore you rotten and eventually drive you mad; unless the Creator was some kind of extreme narcissist! Religion feeds the uncontrolled ego's desperate need for being special, being unique and for an easy, reassuringly selfish answer; when all of the rational evidence speaks of a much different and more interesting story

TheShopKeeper:
EFCC should stop wasting its time about trying to extradite the ex-Petroleum Minister. what have they done with all the various cases of corruption against high placed individuals since 2015.

Diezani will be so happy to come back to Nigeria, as she can easily buy the judiciary, because at the end of the day, her case will keep going on adjournment forever.

You are sooooooooo very correct! 1M likes for you! smiley

I wonder why most Nigerians can't see beyond drama.....can't you all see that it's DEZIANI herself that's gunning for a return back to Nigeria, because SHE KNOWS this is the only country that WILL NOT put her in jail...?!!!

Her loyalist are definitely waiting on her return....and deals will be made, period. Tell me, na who EFCC or our dearly beloved "federal government' don convict since EVER? Obanikoro or na Saraki, abi sey na Patience.....and those ones no steal reach DEZIANI ALMIGHTY Oooo

Oga is actually 35...he'l b 36 next year January...i'm 37 though

What is ECA please?

Thanks very much for the encouragement smiley

Just let Oga be principal applicant. Your score is not good, save yourself any remark and go get your MSc/MA assessed. Follow these steps:

1) Get your Masters and Oga's Bachelors assessed. Send copies of transcript and certificates. Your school would send transcript to WES.

2) Forget your work experience and all the UK thing, you won't be the principal applicant so all that will go to personal history when you apply.

3) Use this link to score Oga and see what una estimated score would be http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

4) Once una ECA is done, jump into the pool.

Reason why you can't be the principal applicant is your IELTS is poor and your work experience not as strong. Your hubby's IELTS is excellent, and his current job can provide a reference letter for him to claim points. He has a higher chance than you. Another thing, hope hubby is not above 35? Use the tool to assess you and him. It doesn't matter if he works in an oil company or not, what matters in this process is his job description, that is what he will use to claim NOC code. Read the 1st few pages of this thread and write down pointers. Good luck.

A very good morning to you guys

i haven't been sleeping these days as I do not know how I and DH will go about this process. A brief history of what we have done so far....

1- We have both written IELTS...DH had 9, 8.5,8.5,8.5 while i had 7, 5.5,5.5,5.5 ( I intend to apply for a re-mark though)

2- Education.....DH has Bachelors degree, while I have both bachelors and Masters from the UK

3-Do we send only certificates or transcripts to WES? Either way everything is gonna be sent through our different universities

4- Employment- Hubby works for an oil company and has more than 5 years professional experience, while I have more than 3 years UK working experience but I came back to Nigeria in 2015, and i only just got a part-time job in an admin office in a local govt council here in Lagos.

5- Can we start our application process if DH is the principal applicant? Or do i need to write IELTS again for better points for us?

We intend applying this weekend....we dont want to make any errors whatsoever...please I will need you guys help....any advise would be welcomed...smiley

I don't know why i am scared though....but i am. sad

God Bless you all and grants all your heart's desires....smiley Thank you again.
