Just as I suspected, a confident dunce grin.

The prosperity of a population is relative to its resources and how they are managed. Now Nigeria has failed to optimally manage its limited resources due to poor leadership and other factors, do you now a expect a subset of such a population with leadership failure to thrive just because it boasts of a higher population?

Doesn't logic, rationality and every shade of common sense tell you that such limited resources would be even more thinly spread resulting in a lower income per capita?

Why do you think the equitable distribution of wealth is a challenge that has plagued man since Adam? Are you aware that almost half of the world’s wealth is now owned by just one percent of the population, and the poorest people in the world are found in the largest population?

I've told you we are not cut from the same intellectual cloth, so kindly maintain your lane and peddle your ignorance elsewhere. Your argument is so elementary it nauseates undecided.

Like a BOSS cool

My friend travel and stop exposing your backward ignorance. Individual effort is nothing and does not equal development.

There are rich men with swimming pools in Niger republic, it does not stop it from being a backward undeveloped hellhole.

We need government to provide infrastructure, while private individuals develop the economy. Thats how it works not the other way round.

cremedelacreme:

Guy you don't sound intelligent at all (no offense please), the more you talk the more you expose how daft you are. Someone sited a world class hospital in his state, you are here beefing him. Is he responsible for your useless, insensitive government? Instead of you to encourage this kind of development in all the states of Nigeria, you are here yapping crap. Typical Nigerian, you want the best things of life yet you don't wanna pay for it. Nothing good comes cheap, leave those who can afford the hospital use it while you continue using the Primary Health Care Center in your village.

You are dumb. Development is a collective effort by govts and private individuals. Here the private sector has played a big role. The govt has not.

Insults again because you're told to hold your government responsible?

Wait for a private individual to build an overhead pedestrian bridge for you. You need to use your head.

In the US, healthcare is not cheap. Without insurance most will be screwed. Why does Nigeria not do health insurance for its citizens? It's done even in small Kenya.

Thank you brother. Now we are reasoning in the same direction. We should pursue such instead.

I think we have NHIS.

What's your point though? That these public rot are not in other parts of Nigeria?
The point is that we should stop trying to present our land as developed when all we see are individual efforts for individual benefit.

Development is gotten by government effort anywhere in the world.

Fire departments, Standard public hospitals, Refuse disposal etc cannot be done by individuals and thats why places like in the east look rotten but the GRA will be shining. Private effort is not development.

We need to start holding government responsible. It is our money.

Poverty has finished your brain. See the rubbish you're typing?

I am talking about raising the standard of healthcare, you are talking about widening the gap between rich and poor.

Go to other countries and see the standard. What you call beauty is supposed to be standard.

See what bad government and poor exposure has reduced the mind of our youth to.

InyinyaAgbaOku:

Well, we don't want pepper sellers. Just as every hungry person chooses the class of restaurant that he can afford, health care delivery follows same way.
What is wrong with having an upscale hospital around? Must we travel far to access everything in Nigeria?
Yes, let rich people see where they will treat their children in Anambra and Nigeria at large.

People that are not used to aesthetics are usually scared of being reminded they are poor. What is making u think the hospital will cost billions if not for the neat environment and well manicured lawns? Is that not how a hospital is supposed to look like?

Don't take pride in being a killjoy

Nothing like killjoy, is it not true? I get angry when we pretend all is fine when we are still the ones to suffer.

I see these things all the time. This is the best hospital in Okpeze and Amaetiti in anambra, maybe you've heard of the place. Things are really bad.

Lets stop deceiving ourselves. How many common men can afford to get sick in this private hospital?

It is fine, but lets not pretend like thats how our hospitals are, we need to expose the nonsense government is doing, abandoning hospitals,

I live in Aba, see what the public hospital for the common man looks like, it was discussed on nairaland some time ago.

In addition to the above, I find it disrespectful and insulting on the sensibilities of the Ijaws(Okrikans) and the Ikwerres over claim by some IPOB promoters that Portharcourt belongs to the Igbos and they will "reclaim" it. Unfortunately, no promoter of the IPOB struggle has stated otherwise. For the record, the status of Portharcourt as the exclusive ownership of the Okrikans(PH South) and the Ikwerres is non-negotiable. [b]Specifically, not a single inch of Okrika and other Ijaw land, whether in PH or anywhere else will be surrendered to anyone under any guise.

I recognise and respect the right of everyone to self-determination but I have to state that the Kanu-led IPOB ideology is not what my people desire. I also respect the right of our Igbo brothers to their own interest but I disagree with call for violence as propagated by members of IPOB.

The IPOB Struggle Not Our Interest
The Mr Kanu-led IPOB struggle for an independent Biafra is not in conforminity with legitimate struggle for TWO basic reasons:

1. It promotes hate and violence against the State, other ethnic groups and also against members of Igbo ethnic nationality that does not share the Biafran ideology as preached by Kanu and his IPOB crew. Violence was never part of the UN charter on self-determination

2. The ethnic Nationalities in the Niger-Delta are yet to enter into any agreement with anybody as regard the composition, structure or otherwise of the IPOB proposed country. We are already facing a challenge in Nigeria where our forebearers in their wisdom failed to define terms of our unity as a country. In fact, we are working on correcting these anomalies legitimately.

Interesting Barca, after all the lower niger congress movement?
