majekdom2: if only you know the so many "wrong" things you do daily! If you don't have to force something in your throat, you should have ignored. Oh , job.. the ones that will get the job are not even posting on this thread that's even if they are on NL Oh yes! I am not perfect, I make so many mistakes, I do a lot of things that are wrong. But I don't defend my wrong deeds. The application is just what it is, you are obviously just particular about the job itself (about people helping others) and not the actions and implications. My prayer is you get the job, so you will see life does not revolve around it. |

I can only tell your person and intelligence from your posts and that I have done. Enjoy the rest of your day. 1. So arguing about something being wrong means someone is claiming to be holier than thou? 2. Yes, so you will know my words are not influenced by the gra gra or anxiety to get the job because I feel others have an advantage more than me, but by my feelings about defending what is wrong. 3. They being wrong or right, that's just our opinion, which we don't need to force down anybody's throats. 4. The pleasure is all mine. |

majekdom2: their actions is no where wrong as I do not think there was any privacy agreement not to share experiences. I shared those stuffs for you to see "holier than thou" don't get the jobs in most cases. Are you implying I am claiming to be holier than thou? And where did I ever say anything about people's righteousness giving them a job? You know what? Just enjoy man. I have given my opinion, you have given yours. It is what it is. I am not hungry, and I am not jobless, I don't care about people who shared info, or people who have connections. My own problem is defending what is wrong. And if you say they are not wrong, I rest my case. Don't come and start assuming shit about me. I will say this again, you don't know me, and I don't know you. |

majekdom2: No one will ask you do that because they know you will say No, but the reality is you might do. Businesses have experience that you do not have. Why do you think they changed the process aside going digital and saving money, it is because peop already got used to the previous and SHL... how so? You see, this is where some of you fail personality questions. Have you ever had a sales training before- you lie to your customers most times Ah man! All this analogy, was their actions right or wrong? All this story is getting too long. I am not judging anyone, I am just saying we should learn not to defend something that is wrong. If you think it's right no problem, I am sorry for challenging anyone's opinion. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Shell Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2017 by NaivatcoEcnirp: 12:09pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
jayloms: Your analogy is faulty no offence. First of all, there is no cheating here cause no two questions are the same, save d question on ur interest to work with shell, which every serious applicant should know.
Nairaland is where most Nigerians share their experience, job and otherwise.
A simple google search for "shell graduate interviews" will give you links to glassdoor not nairaland, where you'd see d likely interview questions to expect at this stage - I'm talking questions from peeps who both got d offer and those who didn't. It is called "sharing your experience". I got d STAR approach to answering dia questions from there.
I hv observed d questions aren't dsame from d experiences of more than four(4) peeps who shared theirs. So what's d fuss about? Do you know many stand a chance to benefit from this insightful tips after now - sometime in d future?
Do you know peeps yet to do their online assessments (who many think hv an unfair advantage over those who hv done theirs) stand a chance of being REGRETTED when they eventually do, even if they perform well? - remember the first come first serve basis.
I don weak on top dis shell mata and na only 20ppl dem fit come take last last Ah man! Bleep my analogy (pardon my french), was their actions right or wrong? All this story is getting too long. I am not judging anyone, I am just saying we should learn not to defend something that is wrong. If you think it's right no problem, I am sorry for challenging anyone's opinion. |

majekdom2: I said you know no jack because you lack understanding. What the guy you quoted meant is these questions are everywhere online i.e glassdoor, reddit, quora, the fact that you are not informed about them does not mean they are not. The questions are what any prospective job applicant should expect, shell themself in their acknowledgement will share a link to a video and tips to passing from my experience in previous application. I don't know if the still do it. If you know how the video works, you will not be here with your epistles. I mentioned the hirevue sending your data just to let you know there are thing you can't have control over, this issue of what you are "preaching" against is one of it and shell knows that! Alright then. Since you all have quick twitter fingers, I have one question for you all saying nothing is wrong. And I believe this should end the argument. Like I said I am not against those who shared the interview questions, I am against those who are defending the action itself. If you eventually have this shell Interview, or any firm for that matter and you are asked "would you share this interview questions on Nairaland or with anyone else?" Please do enlighten us what your answer will be, since all other people are hypocrites and you all are right. (Funny some of of you even said everyone has a right to their opinion) |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Shell Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2017 by NaivatcoEcnirp: 10:44am On Jun 07, 2017 |
majekdom2: Oga relax, you know no jack! Have you ever wondered what hirevue will do to your data after now? They can share your performance with other companies you may apply to tomorrow. Now, that's out of your consent and there is nothing you will be able to do about that. That will be wrong in your own thoughts but to them it's business! http://www.asktheheadhunter.com/9044/hirevue-video-interviews-insult-talent-in-talent-shortage Lol. You know how you sound now? It's just like when someone rapes a girl, and some people say "well if she had not worn a miniskirt, she wouldn't have been raped". 2 wrongs don't make a right. So what? They decide to sell my data, that's their business. I am not against those who shared Interview questions, I am against those of you defending their actions! You are no different from those angry because other people will do better than them, because of the advantage. I have been calm up to this point, because I believe we are all mature, no need for insults or statements like "I no know jack!". Point of correction, you don't know me, and I don't know you. So you have no idea what I know and don't know. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Shell Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2017 by NaivatcoEcnirp: 10:37am On Jun 07, 2017 |
FreeSpirited: Why do people have low I.q like this...its appalling. If you took the interview, u could decide to reveal your questions or not because you are not bound by any terms or agreement ,with shell, not to divulge it. Shell has no moral justification to hold you accountable for divulging the questions cos u dint signed any agreement with them
Reason been dat:
It is the duty of shell examining body to design an interview system that can't be exploited. It's also their moral duty to ensure that all room or loopholes for malpractices are blocked, if malpractices will really defeat the essence of the interview.
You all should know that, Shell isn't daft and they have taken all that into consideration before rolling out the interview format. They also know that candidates have the right to seek for whatever means and information in their own effort to.
You hypocrites , bad belles and bitter soul should go Bleep your self. Your holyness and morality really stink. Nonsense hypocrites..as if they won't use the questions if they had seen it before they did their on test. I so hate such kind of self righteous and resentful idiots. Resorting to abuses to make a point. Lol, Graduate professionals in the making. I remember in the work style preferrence, something about not getting angry easily and looking for creative ways to settle fights among team members. What is wrong is still wrong. Stop using shells loopholes and our society's hypocrisy as an excuse to cover what's wrong! Nobody brought a gun to kill those people who shared Interview questions now did they? I dunno about the rest, I don't care who shared stuffs or why, I am just surprised people are defending what is wrong, in this same forum where people complain about Political corruption and Nepotism on organisations like shell. It just seems to me the country is an endless cycle of corruption and unethical practices, and we always give excuses for the wrong things - I call it the Corruption Chain and Corruption web; just like a Food chain and food web, we have people on the higher level (the consumers abd predators down to the producer and decomposers). |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Shell Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2017 by NaivatcoEcnirp: 9:47am On Jun 07, 2017 |
jayloms: shell graduate interview questions are on glassdoor - as shared anonymously by those who were both (Un)successful, and I am sure Nigerian youths hardly ever share their interview experience on glassdoor. So, it must have been shared by non-Nigerians.
Also, Nigerians can be very hypocritical, they criticize one thing and do the exact same thing when no eyes are on them.
It's not wrong to criticize, but if you must do, be honest about why you are giving the criticism, because for me, I know those bull crap written in d prev pages has nothing to do with ETHICS.
Especially as we are all still Nigerians! I don't want to get myself involved, but I am just surprised that some people are still arguing. What is wrong is definitely wrong! I have no beef with anyone, whether I pass or not it's dependent on me and shell alone, but our Nigerian mentality is poor. Let me explain why, for now I work as an Internet and Social Media user experience analyst with a firm that does projects with search engine firms (Google and co) and some other tech firms, and there is this position where vacancy was needed, I helped the firm advertise and all, and the thing with the exam is you will be given a material to use and prepare for the exam, to make this matter more interesting the exam is an open exam; meaning you can use the material why doing the exam, and time is more than enough; I mean hours for the exam (This exam will take me minutes). Now, 2 things to note: 1. Working for that firm, I have the marterial but I can't share it because it's against company policy, even before the exam date (when the firm will give them the material), some people were asking me for the material, meaning they wanted me to willingly annul contract terms (which they too read and agreed to before the commencement of their exams), and saw me as a bad person when I did not. (That says a lot about Nigerian integrity). 2. Some people called me during their exams, to help them answer some questions. (This does not make sense, because the exam questions are what you will be required to do on the job, does that mean after helping them cheat, I would also help them do their jobs? The firm outrightly sacks if your performance is not on par with what they need, so what's the use of cheating? Why not just do to the best of your abilities and leave the rest?) What is wrong is wrong! Stop defending mediocrity and corruption! That's why we will never move forward in the country, we are very unethical! This is not about being intelligent or claiming righteous, if you had a company of your own, won't you test people you want to employ? Would you happily employ people who cheated? People who broke your company rules and agreement? |
