PoliticsRe: Did Chinua Achebe Actually Do Anything To Promote Development In Nigeria? by namfav(m): 7:52pm On Mar 23, 2013
good question, the answer is no
PoliticsRe: Prof Chinua Achebe Is Dead! by namfav(m): 10:33pm On Mar 22, 2013
sanusi has contributions which achebe can only dream of (if he has a heart), about sanusis comments this is not the thread to talk about it
If you also called Sanusi a nonsense man in light of some of the things he has said about Yorubas I would not even address your drug induced rants.
PoliticsRe: Prof Chinua Achebe Is Dead! by namfav(m): 10:32pm On Mar 22, 2013
his books don't feed us, he was not a practical man he just lived through his imagination
@Namfav, If Chinua is held to one standard that should not even be applied to him, then the standard must be followed through for everyone else, including Sanusi.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
PoliticsRe: Prof Chinua Achebe Is Dead! by namfav(m): 10:26pm On Mar 22, 2013
okay, i won't call your HERO a nonsense man because it makes you cry like a baby
He showcased African culture through prose at a time when it was especially hard to do so.

Inspired a generation of African writers who may not even have had cause to write if not for him. Also see African Writers Series, which helped propel and provide daily bread for other legendary writers who are respected till today.

His work was translated Into the screen, which gave birth to the careers of veteran actors such as Edochie.

He is one of the few reasons to be proud of Nigeria in international circles.

He has left a real measurable and substantive legacy in his field that is felt until today.

The same cannot be said for any Nigerian politician in the field of politics.
PoliticsRe: Prof Chinua Achebe Is Dead! by namfav(m): 10:23pm On Mar 22, 2013
exactly bro, nothing contribution

funkymama: Nigeria ke shocked shocked shocked

Bro, that's taking it too far oh.

What you should be asking about are his contributions to his erosion stricken Ibo land before he died undecided

What legacy did he leave behind for his people? undecided

All he did was stay at Yankee and CRITICISE

We know all Awolowo did for yoruba land. There's no need to go into full details wink
PoliticsRe: Prof Chinua Achebe Is Dead! by namfav(m): 10:02pm On Mar 22, 2013
why do you want to turn it into a northerners vs yoruba issue, we're talking about achebe, if you want to talk about sanusis opinion we can do that in another thread, as i have said achebe is a hero for you, even the most wicked men in nigeria's history are heroes to a selected few, i have no respect for him, he has not contributed anything for nigeria
Achebe being a "nonsense man" is truth only for hasish infested brains.

But then again, it's Nigeria, where everything is upside down and the average person has an IQ of 69.

BTW...Do you consider Sanusi, your brother, a nonsense man and a liar in light of his stance that Yorubas Are The Problem with Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Prof Chinua Achebe Is Dead! by namfav(m): 9:46pm On Mar 22, 2013
you take offense easily, i was just speaking the truth, achebe did not defend nigeria
Which has actually made more sense than anything you've ever written.

A bigger shame cry
PoliticsRe: Prof Chinua Achebe Is Dead! by namfav(m): 8:07pm On Mar 22, 2013
you are speaking nonsense
Who stood above all the men that your group has ever produced.

What a shame sad
yet they want to separate

Elombah Perspective 6:58pm Oct 5

This is what Yoruba guy, Tola Charles said online today:

"To me, the Igbos may have embarked on their own silent revenge war on the rest of us, except that only the Hausa-Fulani have been checkmating them consistently by creating unrests in the North by which a cycle of 'start and settle' is ever revolving to ensure that they do not have that strong foothold. But here in the Southwest, the Igbos have dominated nearly all aspect of our lives.... in my brother Adejuwon's Ijebuland, they are buying landed /land properties and have become lanlords, same in Lagos, in Ibadan, even my own Oyo town the cradle of Yoruba, they are dominating everything. Festac town now 75% owned by Igbos. A travel from Mile 2 to Agbara Industrial estate along Badagry road will keep you thinking whether you are in Onitsha or what. And they are breeding like rats. I think we may have unknowingly been under the siege of the Igbos in Yorubaland."
PoliticsRe: Biafra Drags Nigeria To Court by namfav(m): 5:55pm On Oct 15, 2012
what's funny to me is that biafra does not even exist, ibo people undecided
PoliticsRe: Awolowo, Achebe Controversy Unnecessary – Ndigbo Lagos by namfav(m): 5:17pm On Oct 15, 2012
why are you generalizing? i personally don't have a problem with yoruba i can relate with yoruba since the independance of nigeria we've faced similar journey's and have fought a similar war whatever issues we have with each other can be solved without much wahala, why are you convinced that a few rag tags represent northerners? don't go that route, in fact it's the contrary, ndi ibo have shown that they don't have south west or north interests it's south eastern or nothing for them, we all still have the wounds from the civil war, no? who is putting salt on are wounds? my sister take a few minutes and think what's more important for you, surely if it's yoruba interests which are more important to you then you'd speak out against the anti yoruba and anti nigeria sentiment from the pro biafra's amongst us

Desola: I am familiar with you Hausas. When you speak, it's like butter cannot melt in your mouths but you are Lucifa's re-incarnate. Ibos are boastful, not very smart and act before they think. We know them for what they are and their limited capabilities but you lot are snakes! See how you have cunningly tried to persuade me that the ibos are our common enemy when in actual fact, you have held this country down and caused so much more atrocities. Majority of you are barbaric and inhumane. The funny thing is that those ibos think you're illiterates and not very smart but in actual fact, you are far more superior to them in intellect, i mean, see how you have tried to use the divide and conquer weapon on me subliminally on this thread. NO! You lot should account for your evils and the ibos would be dealt with in due course. Right now, my immediate wish is for them to disappear from the west and other strategies would follow.
PoliticsRe: Awolowo, Achebe Controversy Unnecessary – Ndigbo Lagos by namfav(m): 12:48pm On Oct 15, 2012
don't let the senseless killings fueld by political aspirations of a few fool you, most of the victims are northerners, achebe's utterance are the main problem if we all put the civil war into consideration, we should all know who is are friends and who is the enemy, let us remove the pro biafra sentiment and then move onto other things

Desola: ...but you have killed and are still killing our children not to mention the attrocities your leaders have and are still perpetrating in this country.
PoliticsRe: Awolowo, Achebe Controversy Unnecessary – Ndigbo Lagos by namfav(m): 12:12pm On Oct 15, 2012
we are not attacking yoruba/awolowo

Desola: For wia? Dem chop winch?

We should collectively deal with you the abokis first and then come for the ajokutamamumis. Na turn by turn.
PoliticsRe: Awolowo, Achebe Controversy Unnecessary – Ndigbo Lagos by namfav(m): 9:41am On Oct 15, 2012
yoruba have to act hard on the pro biafra sentiment in places like lagos they have to remember that biafra's army want to take lagos from yoruba, ndi ibo can be manipulative in these situations, achebe is like a de facto leader for them his statements should be taken seriously or nigeria will head into chaos
PoliticsRe: Biafra Drags Nigeria To Court by namfav(m): 9:28am On Oct 15, 2012
you pro biafrans are animals who don't know war but wait and see if you persist
if you have nothing meaningful to say just read and learn. dolt!
PoliticsRe: Fulani Herdsmen Demand Land Rights In 36 States by namfav(m): 6:25am On Sep 11, 2012
will it be possible to own a house with no land? land is one thing which is shared no one person has possession of the vast land, you will talk but it is not your own land

Sagamite: Are you saying one can own a house but cannot own a land?

How come only Allah can own land but he is not the only one that can own a house?
PoliticsRe: Fulani Herdsmen Demand Land Rights In 36 States by namfav(m): 2:10pm On Sep 10, 2012
nigeria is free for all nigerians, we are talking about land not houses

Sagamite: So any stranger can come and sleep in your house tonight since the land and bricks belong to Allah?
PoliticsRe: Fulani Herdsmen Demand Land Rights In 36 States by namfav(m): 7:47am On Sep 10, 2012
you're exaggerating

oyb: ^^^^
absolutely, we should all open our doors to uncivilised thuggish cavemen who value animals over human life because we are one nigeria

call it tribal profiling if you like

uplkift your kinsmen and teach them to behave like civilised members of the human race who respect the laws of the land and thr rights of others , then we can have this conversation about land rights.

who wants the rest of nigeria to become like jos
PoliticsRe: Fulani Herdsmen Demand Land Rights In 36 States by namfav(m): 7:00am On Sep 10, 2012
