Police in Manchester say a child’s mother subjected him to a particularly painful and embarrassing method of corporal punishment.

Aba Hagan, 40, was arrested Thursday and charged with cruelty to persons, third-degree assault, impairing the morals of/or endangering a child and disorderly conduct.

Officers were sent to a Rachel Road apartment at about 8 p.m. on a reported domestic dispute.

There, they found a naked boy, whose age was redacted in the police report, who said Hagan had inserted ginger in his anus, police said.

Hagan initially denied doing anything, but said that her son “had messed up in school and she punished him,” the report says.

“Aba stated she had taken a piece of ginger and put it into (the victim’s) anus,” the report said.

“I asked why she would do this,” Officer Daniel Roberts wrote, “and she stated this was a common punishment in her home country of Ghana, Africa.”

Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Sheila Buckman has revealed the police arrested Dancehall singer Shatta Wale on Sunday for assaulting a police officer.

Over the weekend, a video showing Shatta Wale verbally assaulting a police officer went viral,with many people condemning the actions of the musician.

According to Sheila Buckman, Shatta Wale was picked up on Sunday and later granted bail.

“It wasn’t just unregistered, it had no number plate at all, which goes against our laws. In an attempt for the policeman to ask questions…Shatta Wale assaulted the police officer and also exhibited insulting behaviour. Because of that, he was arrested on Sunday and he’s been granted police enquiry bail to reappear at the police station this morning,” she disclosed to Andy Dosty this morning on Hitz FM.

Talented Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown believes that even though all men are cheats by nature, they should at least do it respectfully.

Speaking on Neat FM, Nana Ama said cheating is an innate quality of all men, including those in the bible but she would be happy if the men who cheat “attach respect to the act.”

“You cannot stop men from cheating, but while cheating, they should attach some respect to the act,” the wife of Maxwell Mensah said on Neat FM.

“If you are cheating on your wife and you have not been caught, it’s a plus to you.” the actress, who is married,” she added.
