Yes you need a sponsor to support you during the recruitment period

tmphoto:
I already applied since late last year but it remains to add a sponsor ( someone living in the UK either citizen or permanent resident) to cater for the during the selection stage down to the recruitment
N/B: A sponsor is compulsory hence without a sponsor your application won’t be consider even if it is from COMMON GOLD, BRONZE WEALTH COUNTRY.
The exception will be if you’re probably in the Uk as a student not as a tourist

Good luck to us in finding a sponsor

Congrats Justblow.

Please is this the refusal decision you stated previously was overturned on 31st July?

Justblow:
This is my story as attached, I can say I came, I saw and I conquered all to the Glory of God almighty.

I thank everyone on this great platform, respect to you all, especially @justwise, though we had some rough patch, but I must comend your effort and contributions.

Let me quickly add that, though I did not pay any lawyer to have this refusal over turned, but I actually paid for information and base on trust, I never regreted doing so, cause information is power.

And I will also mention that, there is review and once you have a solid case and you can prove it, they always over turn their decesion, because the home office know cases that can get to court and they will lose, they don't try it, cause in judicial review, the loser actually pays the winner.

Thank you house, thank you all, I wish everyone on this great platform all the best in all we do. Appreciate.

God bless you all mightily.

I have seen a couple of people who were refused and one thing runs through the reason. That they do not have strong ties in their home country to make them return if they are not selected during the army training.
Looking at your profile, no work or school, you need a miracle for the visa to be granted because you have close to zero ties to compel you to come back.

For Uk army assessment, already you have declared your intention of working in the UK and ECOs are aware that it is not an automatic selection during the assessment so they pay attention to you ties in your home country.

The advise I sometimes give people who want to join UK Army is to apply for a normal visitor and when you arrive you attend the two days assessment.

Hi Justwise and other members in the house
Please I need help and proper advice concerning my visa application

I applied to join the British army here in Nigeria, I got an invitation letter which is to be used as supporting document for visa application. I'm booked for assessment on November..the assessment is to last for two days, but I was advised to be in the UK a week before my assessment by my recruiter

I'm currently not working, my mom is willing to sponsor my travel

As part of my application process to join the army. I'm required to have a sponsor in the UK who can accommodate me. We've reached out to a family friend whose willing to accommodate me , but all expenses for the trip is on my mom

I'll like to know what other documents I'm to attach for my visa application aside my mom's bank statement and that of my sponsor in the UK

I currently have just 214k in my account

What are my chances of getting a visahuh

Please gurus should help me breakdown the reasons why I was refused. Thanks. Please tell me what I need to do in my next application.
Sorry about your refusal.

Basically the ECO doubts your credibility based on how credits were made into your account some few months before you made your application which he claimed are even more than your stated annual income. Kindly respond to these to help us analyse your case well:
1. What is the usual mode of salary paid into your account?
2. Do you always do cash deposits into your account?
3. Were the cash deposits more than your annual salary? and what is the origin of the funds deposited?

Hello everyone,

Please i need the gurus in the house to help with my refusal.
I had a closing balance of 1.9m on the statement of account used which is also my salary account.
These are some of the refusal reasons I find very disappointing.
How can the ECO conclude that spending three times of your salary on a one time life experience vacation amounts to no good use of that money. Purely this refusal reason does not hold in the light of any immigration law and it is purely a subjective reason the ECO gave you.
ECO did not raise any flags about the transactions in your account and didn't doubt any of your document. The ECO's only concern is with his own subjective reasoning that your budget is too much when you yourself you are not complaining and its also clearly evident that you will still have money in your account after your trip and since you have a stable job, you replenish that in just some few months.

If I was in your shoes, I will actually challenge this refusal reason instead of applying because with reapplying its either you are given or an opportunity for the ECO to raise other more serious issues which would be difficult to succumb. My take

congrats to her , pls i need full detail how she go about it.
Visa Application Timeline:
Biometrics on 20th May, 2019
Mail that application was not straight forward on 7th June, 2019
Refusal letter through email (sensitive in subject) on 17th June, 2019
Collected Passport email on 19th June, 2019

Documents submitted:
Intro letter from work
Five months’ pay slip (salary of 1400 cedis thus about 88,683.04 Naira)
Work id card
Her fixed deposit certificate rolled over every quarter 12,000 cedis (798,346.98)
Her side business registration documents. Note that she uses her savings account to run this business. She did not add any tax documents
Sale and purchase Receipts from her diapers business
Salary account statement: with a closing balance of 1.86 cedis (123.74 Naira). We explained this balance because they are advised at work to move their funds from salary to their savings account
Savings account statement: with a closing balance of 18,000 cedis (1,197,520.47 Naira)
Husbands consent letter
Marriage certificate
Birth certificate of her children
Flight Itenary from tap Portugal which was very cheap so it reduced her budget to 630 pounds
I also added my passport details because I have traveled to USA, Portugal, UK (3 times) to visit our sister who provided her the invitation and her documents

After all these and she was refused. Well even though her salary was not that mush she was truthful and she only wanted to visit the UK for a short period. She was actually sponsoring herself so the budget was 630 pounds. From the refusal reason, I knew it would be difficult for her to re-apply and counter the refusal reasons because they were mostly subjective based on that the ECO and they might use the same reasons to refuse her again if we re-applied that’s why we opted for the Judicial review because I was made aware that with this method they might review the application without requested for additional documents
I then got a contact of a solicitor in London through a facebook post of someone who had gotten his refusal overturned because he wanted to go for British army assessment. I contacted them and they assisted us through the judicial review. I have just attached the concluding part of the pre-action protocol which is a pre-requisite for a judicial review.

Timelines for the Judicial review:
1. Went into agreement with solicitor and sent all documents and refusal letter to solicitor on 18th July, 2019
2. Solicitor sent the Pre-Action Protocol to home office on 24th July
3. He sent me a mail he received from UK home office which I have attached here
4. The same day he sent me the email, our sister in london said an officer called her and asked her soo many questions about my sister her. They asked about the work she does and also asked her about the side business (start date and what she sells)
5. Visa Officer called my sister here on 22rd August, 2019 that her application had been re-assessed so she should take her passport to the British embassy
6. She took it to the embassy and the visa was stamped into her passport whiles she was there and she said me a picture of it.

I thank God that the arguments raised by the lawyer who also made references to some similar immigration case made sense to them so there was no need to proceed to the next stage of the judicial review which involved filling the motion in court.
I can send you more screenshots on how the refusals was challenged if it’s allowed on this portal. At least people will also learn one or two things from it. The joy on her face makes me soo happy that I was able to get her refusal overturned as a big brother

Attached are the refusal letter, a screenshot of just a part of the pre-action protocol sent to home office, email from home office

Thanks be to God

Can u pls help me what i can do to this refusal letter.i want to visit my brother who is a britizen for 2 weeks holiday and i supply all his document and the eco said that am goin for 5days classroom workshop .second mistake is that eco claim that i did not have family ties , am married with kids and i supply all evidence , my marriage cert, kid birth cert, family photograph.thirdly eco claim there are large money enter in my personal acct, am a self employed and i sunmitted both my businesss acct and personal acct. And the money that enter into my acct is money that my customer paid for the goods and i provided all the receipt of sales. What fo u think i can do ? Re apply or juficiary review.see the refusal letter.
Hello Lovesavvi,
Even thought the ECO made a mistake with the purpose of your visit, he raised another issue regarding the deposit to your personal account which did not originate from your business account. Before reapplying, you need to address that. You claim the credits are payment by clients, please did you explain in your cover letter that apart from your business account you also use your personal accounts to run your business by receiving payments through it?

If you did not explain this in your cover letter then I think the ECO checked your business account but could not see you transfer that money from it which made him doubt the origin of that credit to your personal account. Even though you provided receipts and you have a business accounts traditionally payments should go through your business account unless you explicitly stated that you use your personal account for business transactions. Please let us know if you explained this in your cover letter

I have responded to your email.
I want to share the entire sequence/details of what we did for sisters through the Judicial review process to challenge her visitors visa application. I will compile and share so that everyone get an idea what it is about when. I will post it later

God being soo good she received a call from UK Home Office yesterday that they av re-assessed her application and that she should take her passport to the British embassy. She went there this morning and they embossed the visa in her passport without her having to leave her passport with them. God has been indeed good

But thats appauling.....And not fair at all. My dear these visa approvals to me is based on GOD factor...he has the final say overall regardless of all docs and travel hstories a person may have....you find dey get refused and a person with nt much account balance gets issued. It is God only!
Yes oo God plays a major to help you get a Visa Officer who will not decide on your application based on his own generalization meaning but rather base it on facts presented. Some ignore the facts presented to demonstrate ties to ones country and deny based on various reasons.

Everyone should read this report by Chief Inspector of Boarders and Immigration who reviewed the visa decisions given in some African and other countries. You will realize that Visa Officers make serious mistakes. Its a good read

MrsDaniels:
Hi dear....This ur sisters case is somehow similar to my cuz's case and the diff is he didnt do any Judicial review but rather God took it over. He was denied for an insane reason the refusal letter accused him of having large sum of fynds come into his account when infact it was his salaries that was paid late that got into his acc....and he even circled it and explained. He was so mad and base on dis a person dt studied in the UK an been there twice after that. So on Wednesday he also got a call from Home office and spoke to a white dude and was asked only abt reasons for his previous Canada and USA visa applications which he did and immediately the Dude said to him they going back now to reaccess his Application. It can only be God who came tru for him. Its high time Home office do check applicants applications well and give a right judgement and not refuse on an insanely wrong note. Causing the applicant pain and all waste of their funds inclusive.
Dear

these Visa officers most at times just decide to refuse people. You can even sometimes explain your circumstance through a cover letter but he/she will use their own reason to refuse. I used to believe that if you present your application well, you will receive the visa but that is not the case some times. They ones refused someone I know because that person had soo much money in his account. I have come to believe that we sometimes have to explore other avenues to challenge some of these biased refusals

Writing a letter isn’t a problem but what you wanna tell ECO about your 15months stay its what is important, people only give legal advice here. You just have to be smart for yourself.

Well you didn’t breach the immigration law so you should be alright.

TBH I don’t think they do ask how long you stayed in previous travel, think the form only asks you how long you wanna stay for the proposed travel. What matters is you are back and you didn’t overstayed.

Not your first time application, you should know the docs you need to submit. Good luck
Wrong.
For your previous visits to the UK they as the following questions
1. Date you arrived in the UK
2. Number of days, weeks, months or years

Please be guided
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by NanaOne1: 11:12pm On Aug 12, 2019
You are all right because as I said previously I personally know three people who got their refusal reasons overturned through Judicial review. If you are lucky home office will reconsider their decision after the lawyers send the pre-action protocol which is mandatory before the actual Judicial review process.

With the pre-action protocol, home office sometimes decline to even respond so after a number of days the main processes is initiated in court. I think people should read and research more because this is one way to challenge a non-immigrant refusal if appeal is not given. Especially for those who have been refused a number of time but feel they have provided all the correct documents, judicial review is the way to go. I will share details soon about one that is currently going on

Justblow:
@Ope...you ve spoken well, Infact, you know what you talking about, appeal and admin review stopped 2013 by the home office and as we speak now you can still appeal or call for admin review on some sets of visit visa based Mainly on human right ground.

And more over, is there a ground or situation in life that affects you or your rights that you can't address using the court of law?... I don't think so.

I know someone that was denied 4 times, he hired a lawyer to put in for him for the 5th time and the home office refused him, base on no solid tie to his country, do you know, the law firm had to seek redress in court... The home office did not only over turn their decision, but also pay the law firm.

This things happens every day, as we speak, there are thousands of judicial review going on, why is someone now making normalcy look as if it is a taboo...

Opeyemi.... You've spoken well...
