Please regarding your second response. She has actually registered her business an an Enterprise and she will explain the nature of her business to the ECO. I actually want to know if ECOs usually look out for tax receipts ones the business is registered? or do they regard it as mandatory for a sole proprietor with a registered business during visa applications?

Total amount means just that.. total amount.. all the money you earn in a year.

When you are running unregistered business and no tax paid you need to take your time and explain to the ECO nature of your business, else leave the business out of your visa application and use salary account alone.

Total amount of money you get in a year should be 3600 (thus 300x12).
I didn't get the one relating to 610 very well the 610 is the profit she gets from her side business. Please shouldn't this 610 be added to 3600 making the total amount of money she gets in a year 4210?

She has investment and a savings account too

in a year you should have 3600 pound as against 610 pound
610 pound should be other savings

Yes I used it to the UK in 2016, if you have a long layover, apply for Turkish VISA online for about $40 because they give free hotel

Please this query is still confusing me.

If I am gainfully employed and I have a side business which I have registered as an Enterprise (sole-proprietor) is it required to provide tax payments during the visa application? and without it you may be refused?
My sister is in this situation and she even uses her savings account to run her side business so she doesn't keep proper records.

Also please assist with the attached.
1.She earns GBP 300 from her official work
2.she earns GBP 610 per year from her side business.
3. She has GBP 3154 in her investment

Please is the total amount of money that you get in a year correct has I have captured on the form? I was thinking it maybe the 300 + 610 or that question only refers to her other side business?

Thanks for your response Justwise. Please one more clarification.
Apart from her official work, she does a side business by buying and selling if kids products. She has registered as an enterprise but she uses her savings account for this business. The problem is she does not have any vat clearance or vat payment since this is just a small business but she plans to open a business account later on and pay taxes.

Please can she add the business documents to her application to justify the usage of her savings account in running her side business without the payment of taxes?

And is she supposed to add receipts of her purchase and selling of the kinds products?

If your sister earns enough and comfortably sponsor herself then there's no need worrying about husband's account statement

Please my sister is planning to apply for a uk visit visa for 8 days.
She is married with 2 children, employed and she will sponsor herself. She works with a bank. I would like to know if its necessary to provide the employment and bank statement of her husband?
Her husband is currently self employed so he does not have much in his account

A friend of mine also had a similar issue. He wanted to visit with his family of four and they were all refused UK visa ending of last year due to insufficient ties. He and his family had traveled together to Dubai and some of them had traveled to USA before
We assisted him to apply alone and he just got his visa last week.
With your recent refusals to France and USA, I think it might play a part in your visa application. I will advise you to traveled alone or with only your wife for the first time before applying with all your children so that your children will strengthen your ties to Nigeria.

My wife and one of my children are directors in the company. I am not on any particular amount as salary as funds comes in from the business I do at any time. I have some landed properties to show that am coming back with my family. we intend spending 3 weeks. We have travelled to Europe and Dubai. Though we were refused visa to France in 2012 due to insufficient funds back then and US in 2018 due to inability to show ties in Nigeria even though we were not given the opportunity to show our documents during the interview. My questions are;
(1) what are our chances of getting UK visa?
(2) is it better to use my company as sponsor since my company is more than buoyant enough to sponsor our trip or my personal account?
(3) what documents do we need to present?
(4) do we need to book for accommodation and flight before applying?

Please if during the application with my wife we stated that we will travel to London on for example 15 May but after getting the visa, I travel on 15th May and wife travels on a later date, will she face problems at the port of entry regarding her change in travel date?

1. You state that you are a student but she didn't show how she maintains herself because she didn't provide the statements or financial details of her parents.
2. Her uncle was sponsoring her trip. Even though she provided sponsorship letter from him, business registration documents and his bank statement, they said her sponsor did not provide any details of their income or financial commitment to demonstrate his ability to support her and meet the cost of her proposed travel. They also said his bank balance of his business stems from large cash deposits which details of the origin of the funds were not provided. Also they said his business account is for running his business so they are not sure his funds will be available to her
2. Her uncle she was visiting in the uk had a negative balance on his statement at some point in time so they said they are not satisfied that she will be adequately maintained and accommodated during her visit

Please note that we will be visiting this same uncle in the uk but his statement now is fine. Actually my wifes sister was granted visa and visited this same uncle. Please advise @justwise and gurus in the forum.

I am planning to apply for a uk visit visa for myself, wife and new born baby in May for 11 days visit. I have visited Portugal (2017), Usa (2018 visa expiring in 2023), and Uk in 2016 but my wife has not traveled before and was refused 4 years ago when she was a student and not married.

I work at a bank with a montly salary of 480,000 naira excluding other allowances like clothing, rent, fuel and others and my wife is a CSO at a financial institution earning 68,481 naira monthly. I have an account balance of 1,500,000 and my wife also has about the same amount. I also have landed properties and cars I use for Uber. I think less than or almost 2 months of my salary will be enough for the trip

Please I hope my wife's previous refusal will not be a major issue with our visa applications and if there is any advise you will give me, please do

Had my interview last week in Ghana with mum and were granted 5 yrs visa
Profile: Just join another bank in January so I was just 4 months at post. Traveled 3 times to the UK, Portugal, 4 times to Nigeria and then Turkey. I am attending my graduation with mum. I earn 6000 cedis and have a car for Uber (2000 cedis monthly)

When we were third in the queue to be interviewed, someone who was just granted told us about a VO who is very friendly and good in one of the windows. Just when it was our turn, that VO was free (and I thanked God) but one of the workers told us to wait cus she wanted to talk to him (I was like Holy Mary, I cast all the village people following us oo ) I continued praying for none of the other VOs to be free and God being soo good, the lady finished and my "favorite" VO called us (I thanked God)

VO: Who is she to you
Me: Shes my mother
VO: Passport please
Me: Gave him our passports (I had my three passport stapled together so without saying anything, he flipped through all my passports and checked my VISAs. I had a UK rejection stamp during my school days somewhere in 2002 which he wasnt familiar with the stamped so he went to consult). NB: I traveled to UK in 2016
VO: Where are you going
Me: I just graduated from so so and so University and the school is organizing a commencement ceremony and have invited all graduates, families and friends so we are attending (I made a slight mistake)
VO: Excuse me so when did you graduate and you are attending a graduation again
Me: Sorry, I just completed my MBA program and we are attending my graduating ceremony
VO: Ok
VO: Madam Where do you work
Mum: Answered
VO to mum: Are you married
Mum: Widow

Me: Not at all. please keep it (It was genuine so I didnt care)
VO: Your passport will be ready by Friday, he gave us a paper)

NB: I prepared very well for the interview and had my own interview questions with detailed answers which I practiced for about two weeks and prepared same for mum. No document was asked or checked apart from the introduction letter from the school

I must say it is God who made our interview very easy for us and infact I was a bit disappointed how the interview when because all my rehearsals were not put to use . Baba God may your name be praised.

Please with the arrival city since I am going to California, what should it be because I know I wont get a flight directly to California. Even if I will transit in another state in the US, can I still say that arrival city is California. Kindly not that i am going for my graduation. Thank you

Sorry this has dragged for long, always forgetting;

1. Wherever you are going to stay at.... The hotel in this case

2. Do as advised by @Sugah first. Then while booking your appointment, add your mum as one travelling with you and needing a visa, fill out all the necessary sections with her details as would be asked, at the end your profiles will be linked for you to input both MRV fees receipt numbers and schedule same time appointment.

3. All your income - the monthly average.

1. Self explanatory. Don't know why you are confused. Fill Hotel address as 'where you would stay'
School as contact person/organization in the US.

2. Fill your DS160 form. Fill her form. Pay both Visa fees. Create a profile for you and one for her. anyone who remembers how to link profiles should pls help out

3. Does the form ask for salary from your paid employment or does it just ask of income? I don't remember. But use your discretion
