Depends on the category of your visa. What type of visa did you apply for?

Standard visitor. I read somewhere here where a complaint was made and the refusal decision was reviewed

That's alot of money and I suggest you be careful, normally I want to tell you, RUN O, RUN O, ólúwà á má wá pẹ̀lú ẹ̀ but I won't lol.

If you are dedicated enough to go through previous threads here you'll see alot that'll cut off the agent 250,000 fee for care certificate. Just ask questions here if you need more clarification on that here.

Based on the what people go through to get company that'll issue COS, I don't think 150,000 is too much "if" there's refund agreement incase of failure to secure this job, but I doubt you will get any refund, agreement or no agreement, so why not put in the time for "searching and interview" by yourself by still going through this thread and asking questions. Goodluck with that.

And lastly 250,000 for visa assistance, my question is, Is your agent an Entry Clearance Officer (ECO)? Because I do not understand why helping to fill forms is so expensive to the tune of 250,000. A task which you can carry out yourself if you ask questions

Anyways you can start your process by asking questions after getting yourself a free care certificate at Florence Academy here https://login.florence.co.uk/ now you are owing me 250,000

Great response.
Please so after completing these free courses, which job roles are you entitled to apply? and which websites can these jobs be found?

Yes they also recruit commonwealth applicants but they have received so many applications so they have a huge backlog
jaeybee98:
Hello everyone, I think the Royal Navy and Royal AirForce are also recruiting citizens from Commonwealth countries just like the British Army. We can as well try that.
Travel / Re: British Army Recruitment (Hopefuls) Lets Gather Here by NanaOne1: 10:44am On Nov 24, 2020
Hii, commonwealth citizens can only apply as a soldier. Just create your profile on their website for now. They currently have a backlog of applicants who are currently in the UK and are about to undergo the two days training. Ones they clear this backlog, they will start reviewing new applications

For the requirements, apart from being a commonwealth citizen, you also need a sponsor in the UK who will grant you accommodation for your two days training provided you get to that stage

Acuna91:

Hi

I can see that you are very familiar with the whole BA thing. I just want to ask, what are the requirements to join. I saw two categories on their website, soldier and officer. Do you know their basic requirements? Which will you advise to apply for?
Travel / Re: British Army Recruitment (Hopefuls) Lets Gather Here by NanaOne1: 8:36pm On Nov 18, 2020
Since you are not in the UK, you don't have to complete this part. When they commence recruitment, your case manager will assist you with that

Please I've been trying this for some time now, I need help to move pass this stage.

I started the registration but I stopped where they asked me to fill my passport details since I don’t have a passport yet. Do you suggest I fill in that I don’t have a passport or I should wait till I get my passport.

If you do not have a passport, then you don't have any other option than to wait. lol

Hello everyone. I hope we are all staying safe and steering clear of this pandemic. May the almighty keep protecting us! My question now is "How sure is this recruitment going to be" because i`m planning on getting my international passport solely because of this recruitment so i can fully apply because i noticed they asked for passport details. I have an uncle in the UK though and i`m hoping he will sponsor me. Is there any other thing i will have to do? I`m a graduate of chemistry education. Anticipating your invaluable responses!!!

Go to the army website and create an application now because most likely it will be "first registered first serve" when recruitment commences. Since you have your passport, if you are selected and you are invited for the 2 days assessment in the UK, you would have to apply for a visitors visa. So you should also prepare all the documents needed for a visitors visa when the time comes

so as a Nigerian now that has never been to the UK and have no family there. how are we going to apply

Since recruitment has not started for Commonwealth applicants, you can just create an account on their website. When recruitment commence and it gets to your turn, you will be assigned a CSM who will contact you.

Knowing someone who is willing to support you with documents to travel to the UK and also accommodation is a basic requirement so you should started linking up with friends in the UK

Exactly. Its like that because the form is not for us, rather it's for their citizens. Let's wait for when the form will be suitable for us.

Yeah when recruitment begins and you are assigned a CSM, he/she will complete that section of the application for you

Dose that mean I must have stayed in UK for five years if not I can't be qualified

Need answers please

That law was changed to allow commonwealth applications to apply even if you have not stayed in the UK for 5 years. Ones commonwealth application commence you can apply

The people I know, they aren't from Nigeria sha. They are from st Lucia. After they went for assesment and it was successful, they stayed in the U.K. until they were asked to start basic training. Don't you think Its pointless coming back to Nigeria and doing visa again for basic training, plus you risk visa denial and expenses all over again.

Well I just read somewhere on UK visitors thread about someone who overstayed the number of days she put on her cover letter. She was advised to write a letter to UKVi explaining why she had overstayed.

Ones you pass your assessment, you are granted 'leave to remain' visa which allows you to stay in the UK. You only have to go back to Nigeria if you have not yet done your assessment and your visa is running out.

How were you guys able to pass through the visa questions and date you entered UK on the registration page of the portal?

You just have to complete the initial part of the application without filling the visa details. The Army recruitment agency says when recruitment begins you will be assigned a CSM who will contact you and move your application forward
Travel / Re: British Army Recruitment (Hopefuls) Lets Gather Here by NanaOne1: 7:40pm On Apr 29, 2020

hmmm well I dont think it is the persons fault. Someone I know said assesment is for two days, but you are advised to be in the U.K. at least a week prior to the assesment.

This is when you have already proceeded with your application and have been given a date for the assessment before you travel to the UK. But if you travel to the UK before you start the application, it will take a bit longer

I think its necessary for all of us to keep this thread active before the portal is open again, so that we don't rush in and do the wrong thing.

I read on the UK visitor visa thread, where a nairalander said his friend advised it is better to remain in the UK until they call you for Phase 1 training, so long as your 6 months visa hasn't expired. He added there is no point coming back to Nigeria after the assesment.
Sent the person a message but he hasn't replied since then.
So now my question is how do you deal with UKVI embassy, when you initially told them you will be staying for 2 weeks, when you have exceeded 2 weeks?

Sorry I have been away for some time and I side with you that this forum should be active for us to inform ourselves when recruitment commence.

From your question, if you went to the UK for a visit and recruitment had not begun, its advisable you do not overstay more than the duration you stated on your application. In this case anytime recruitment begins, it will be very easy to get another visitors visa to join the Army.

I'm a British Army airborne veteran (16 Medical Regt, Royal Army Medical Corps), but even I cannot sponsor anyone. Plus, a sponsor cannot increase your chances of getting a visa to go for the physical assessment tests in the UK. I would advice you to come to the UK via any legal route, and apply whilst your visa is still valid.

I cannot help with sponsorship, but if there is anything you need to know about the recruitment process etc, ask it here. I left the army many years ago with my veteran badge and lots of good memories of travelling around the world. I owe a lot to the army and I would never discourage anyone from joining.

Good luck with it.

Hello Claremont, I would like to get some information regarding the UK army application. Will contact you soon. Best Regards

Can someone become a military doctor?

Roles for commonwealth applications are limited. Usually you apply to join as a soldier from commonwealth countries who do not have their resident permit. You can later educate yourself whiles in the army and can switch roles
