oluwaseunla: Bros, I know someone in his finals that was expelled on this kind of issue. Some people do it, it doesn't stop the fact that it is illegal, at least in Nigeria. It is written in most university handbooks and some matriculation oaths, so you cannot sue them if you get expelled. That guy is correct. Thank you. A very reasonable and sensible comment. Much appreciated. |

jaychubi: I am saying both and I am sure of it
U can't run two first degree programs at d same time on full time, even if u do n u r nt caught employers won't accept it n if caught it's illegal d uni dt caught u will expel u via d uni Senate bc it offends JAMB admission guidelines. I am an insider.
It can be done but it's unacceptable and illegal. Dt someone has done or is doing it doesn't change anything jst like armed robbery.
Refer to JAMB admission guidelines and stay away from ignorance Unacceptable by who? Illegal? So a person can be charged to court for running two degree programmes at the same time? It is you who should work on your ignorance. Why would an employer be bothered if someone ran two degree programmes concurrently? Quote the law that expressly prohibits it as well as the penalty by law? If you are really an insider ( whatever that means) then work on your use of English. It is extremely difficult and expensive but not unacceptable or illegal. |

jaychubi: It's not acceptable to run two full time degree programs at d same time, it's like working full time in two places at d same time dts moon lighting.
It's illegal BC d first uni admitted u full time on d ground u r nt running another program elsewhere on full time or even working full time. So b guided Are you saying it is unacceptable, illegal or both? Don't say what you do not know! Quote the section of any law that says you can't run two programmes at the same time. While doing that also quote the legal punishment if an individual runs 2 concurrent academic programmes. |

aikyg: This is not the first time. iOSignal deployed something far advanced for Swift Networks over a year ago. The one that iOsignal deployed is not even a callback but a realtime voice communication endpoint. This means you get connected and can talk to a representative instantly. You can even use a demo at freecall.iosignal.com. Is the representative a human or a chatbot or AI? |

9japrof: Commendable, buh the hype is overrated, these technologies have been there for years.
This is like having an web service that recieves a form, seives the data recieved and transfers the isolated data to the intended end user.
Time would tell how this service improves their PR If it's the 1st time the technology is being deployed in Nigeria then I don't think the hype is overrated |

jaychubi: It's illegal even if u graduate in both u can only use one at a time in ur CV n never both.
Except may be u run one as full time and d other as part time It is not illegal to run two programmes simultaneously. What crime would you be committing? You can put as many degrees on your CV at the same time. However, I do not see the value to be gained in running two programmes simultaneously. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Just Lost A Job Offer Of 650k Because Of Professional Qualification. by napoleon77(m): 9:59pm On Aug 30, 2017 |
Habisoye: 2nd Degree,ACCA/ACA OR 6-years Work Experience which one is Key? I just lost a job offer of 650k because of Professional Certification.
This recent one happened to be a Finance Manager and which i got to the last stage as a result of proven extensive work experience in Accounting and Financial Operations and with my MBA. But i was surprised when the CFO that interviewed me said he would've chosen me but it's quite unfortunate that i have no Professional Certification(ACA or ACCA) not considering the fact that I'm at the final stage already and i have HND & MBA with 6yrs exp. It really pained me but i just I've to let it go. But one thing i'm sure of is that there's nothing a Chattered Accountant can do that i can not, but there's a lot that i can do with my experience that a chattered accountant cannot do. so why the discrimination?.
My questions goes thus; 1. Why do company always want a Chattered Accountant by all means to fill the position in Account and Finance. 2. Is 6-years Extensive Work Experience in Account not enough for a person to hold a position of a Finance Manager? 3. Does MBA not ok enough to hold that position? There could be lots of reasons why you did not get the job! Besides, you have not lost a job offer because the job was not offered to you in the 1st place! |

Saboteurs of the economy will get tired, just like the oil cabal are now competing to sell PMS to as low as N140. By the time they realised Baba is not ready to devalued our Naira no matter what! Their eyez would be clear and come back to face the reality. By the time we fully grown the rice we consume and refined the fuel we consume, that alone would save us a lot of foreign exchange. Baba go slow and steady! Victory is yours at the end, forget about all the political distraction that are designed to hold you back.. I wish you more strength to carry on. Sai Baba 2019. |

Romance › 72 Year Old British Grand Ma Is Sad That Her 27 Year 9ja Husband Is Denied Visa by napoleon77(op): 8:44am On Aug 26, 2017 |
Grandmother, 72, devastated as toyboy husband, 27, denied visa Angela is devastated CJ’s visa has been denied (Picture: HotSpot) A 72-year-old grandmother has been left heartbroken after her younger husband was denied a visa. Angela Nwachukwu, from Dorset, met Nigerian CJ, 27, on Facebook in February 2015. The pair, who have a 45-year-old age gap, enjoyed a whirlwind romance and she flew over to Africa to marry him two months later. Ex-husband of grandmother, 72, who married 27-year-old thinks she is being 'scammed' After arriving home to England, Angela was left devasted when the application for her new husband’s visa was denied – twice. The lovelorn pensioner has spent £20,000 visiting him in Nigeria and trying to get CJ, a computer engineer, over to England so they can live happily ever after. Angela, a retired taxi driver who was single for six months before meeting CJ, said: ‘I saw that a young man had sent me a friend request on Facebook and I couldn’t believe my luck. ‘I did wonder why on earth he had added me, but I accepted and he sent me a message straight away telling me how lovely my profile photo was.’ CJ is six years younger than Angela’s eldest grandchild ‘We chatted for hours, about our families and each others’ hobbies – it was like we’d known each other for years.’ Initially, her sons thought their mum was being scammed, so hunted through CJ’s social media to look for clues. They decided he looked like a genuine guy and the family was delighted when CJ proposed a month later, in March 2015, during a video call. Angela added: ‘I was so taken a back when he asked me to marry him out of the blue. There was such an amazing chemistry between us, I knew he was my soulmate.’ Angela booked her flight to Nigeria and purchased a blue dress to wear for the ceremony, while CJ bought the wedding rings. ‘We’d planned to wait until the wedding night to consummate our relationship, but we couldn’t keep our hands off each other!’ CJ is not allowed to visit his wife on a tourist visa because authorities believe he wouldn’t leave the UK. Since their marriage, Angela has visited her husband in Nigeria twice and hasn’t given up hope of being permanently united with him. She says: ‘I was so determined to get him a visa I even hired lawyers to fight the decision. ‘It cost so much money, but it was just no use.’ The couple is hoping that CJ will be permitted entry into the UK on a student visa to complete a master’s degree in computing.
