Asisat Oshoala has held a football clinic for girls since 2016. Initially, girls from secondary schools across Lagos took part in the clinic, where they were taught the basics of the game by seasoned coaches. The girls took part in a competition and the winners won cash prizes and an opportunity to play football abroad. In more recent times participants have comprised of various football academies.

There's also usually an all-star game at the end of the clinic. The all-star game has featured stars like Kanu Nwankwo, Victor Osimhen, Jude Ighalo, Rasheedat Ajibade and Onome Ebi.

She set up the Asisat Oshoala Academy earlier this year.

She also has the Asisat Oshoala Foundation which is involved in charitable causes.

Oshoala scores ‘mad’ goal in comeback win over Poco Lee-led Entertainers

The Agba baller started the game on the bench in her annual Celebrity All-Stars and also missed a sitter.

Super Falcons and Barcelona Femeni superstar Asisat Oshoala was the centre of attention and attraction at the Campus Mini Stadium on Monday.

Oshoala, who was the host and special guest, scored a fantastic goal at the seventh edition of the Celebrity All-Stars in Lagos.

The Nigerian international led the Team Naija All Stars team to a come-from-behind 3-1 victory over the Nigerian Entertainers led by dance sensation Poco Lee.

Poco Lee scores but Oshoala gets the last laugh

It was an entertaining game at the Campus Memorial Mini Stadium as Oshoala celebrated the seventh edition of her Celebrity All-Stars.

The 24-year-old started the game on the bench with her Team Naija trailing 1-0 thanks to a fantastic goal from Poco Lee.

Poco was at his utmost best as he truly entertained spectators at the event on the pitch with his deft touches and dribbling and off it with his dance steps.

However, the day truly was for Oshoala who came on in the second half to inspire her friends and family to the remarkable comeback win.

The Barcelona forward scored a fantastic second goal to show why she’s one of the most talented players in the world as her team won 3-1.

Oshoala also had a chance to add to the scoreline earlier on but missed a sitter with an empty goal at her mercy.

She did make amends moments later but couldn’t believe she failed to score a simple tap-in.

Asisat Oshoala Academy flogs Golden Swan

Earlier in the day, the first game of the day saw Oshoala’s Academy put on a show in the day’s curtain raiser.

It was a solid performance from the Oshoala Academy, who proved too good for their counterparts the Golden Swan Queens after a 2-0 win.

The goals were scored in either half to give the Oshoalas a clean sweep in the seventh edition of the event.

The event ended fanfare as youngsters and aspiring footballers had fun with Oshoala and others like Poco Lee, Smash, Sly, Sexy Steel and more who graced the occasion.

naptu2:
So let's deal with the usual arguments.

1) Why Lekki? Why not Niger Delta? Well, why not both Lekki and Niger Delta? The Lekki Port has been on the drawing board for decades and it was proposed by the Lagos State Government, but it is not the only proposed deep sea port. There's also the new Bonny Deep Sea Port https://punchng.com/construction-of-462m-bonny-deep-seaport-takes-off-this-year-npa/ and the new Ibom Deep Sea Port http://www.idsp.ak.gov.ng/

So why not Lekki?

2) There's only one road into Lekki and it will lead to problems for people living in Ajah, Lekki Phase 1, etc.

Firstly, you need to know that the port is being built in Ibeju Lekki, which is far away from Lekki Phase 1, Ajah, etc.

Secondly, you also need to know that there isn't only one way to the port. There is the Epe-Ijebu Expressway, which easily provides a link to the hinterland (through Ogun State) from the port. The Ondo State Government is also working on the Araromi-Ibeju Lekki Expressway, which will provide a link from Ibeju Lekki to Ondo State.

3) Rail lines: There are two rail lines that are meant to service that area: (a) The Green Line of the Lagos Metro system, which will run from Marina to the proposed Lekki Airport and Seaport. Provision has been made on the Eleko Road for the rail line to run on the median. There's also going to be a link from the Lagos-Calabar national line to the Lekki Port.

4) Dedicated truck lane: The road will also have a dedicated lane for trucks (just as you have your BRT lane), so that they won't cause congestion on the axis.

Access to the Lekki Free Zone area.

1) Lekki-Epe Expressway via Eleko Junction.

2) Lekki-Epe Expressway via Magbon and Alade (This expressway is being built by the Lagos State Government and Dangote).

3) Araromi-Ibeju Expressway (being built by the Ondo State Government and NDDC from Araromi in Ondo through Ogun to Ibeju Lekki in Lagos).

4) Epe-Ijebu Expressway (from Epe in Lagos to Ijebu Ode in Ogun State).

5) Lagos Green Line Metro Rail Project (passenger train from Marina to Lekki Airport and Seaport).

6) Freight rail system from the Lekki Seaport to the Lagos-Calabar Rail Line.
