There are still 2 more photos that I need to post on this thread. Those are the Osinbajo photos. They should have been attached to my last post on the first page, but Nairaland has not yet allowed me to upload them.

More leaders are signing the condolence register, but due to Nairaland's picture restrictions, I'll create those posts on Monday or Tuesday.

DrChukki:
There's something I want to understand please, why is US not sending them back to their country of origin?
There are many reasons.

1) In some cases the US does not have diplomatic relations with their home countries and the home countries refuse to take them.

2) In some cases the immigrants claim assylum and by law the US has to take them. Therefore they have cases in immigration court and the US says that it's sending them to 3rd countries until the case is concluded (but you and I know that they won't take them back).

3) In some cases there's political instability in their home countries, so the US cannot legally send them back.

4) In some cases their home countries do not want them.

All photos by Bayo Omoboriowo.

I remember when Buhari came back from medical vacation and was asking, "Where is Bayo"?

End

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo

Farewell, Mr. President! @MBuhari

As I stood on the tarmac, waiting for his body to be brought from the plane, beside President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT, the President of Guinea Bissau, three former African Presidents and a Prime Minister, and thousands of people around us, I couldn’t help but wonder:

What would he have said if he could see this himself?

And then it came to me, his favorite exclamation, full of wonder and disbelief:

“My good God!”

May his memory always be blessed.

Bayo Omoboriowo was Muhammadu Buhari's official photographer from 2015 till 2023.

Bayo Omoboriowo @BayoOmoboriowo

For 8 years, I served as President Muhammadu Buhari’s personal photographer. Through those years, he never interfered in my work—not once. He trusted me completely and gave me wings to fly. That kind of leadership and belief is rare. 🕊️🇳🇬

He gave me space to grow. He allowed me, a young Nigerian, to express myself fully—through the lens. He let me tell Nigeria’s story with truth and depth. In doing so, he helped me show what is possible when young people are given a chance.

When he passed, I knew I had to be there. I flew to London to capture his final moments—not just as his photographer, but as someone whose life he had impacted deeply. This was history. This was honor. And I had to document it one last time.

Thank you, President Buhari—for believing in me, for trusting me, and for giving me the platform to serve and grow. You are gone, but not forgotten.
Rest in perfect peace, sir.

Leaders from Run-of-the-mill countries.

Not impressed.
Thank you for obeying my command and coming to boost the numbers on this thread.

Remember that the target is 5 pages.

Do not fail!

This has become a common phenomenon on Nairaland.

People can't read!

If you create a thread with a list of things, people will still come back to tell you that the things on the list are not on the list.

It's quite entertaining.
