joxxy01:Actually, I don't think there's anything wrong with the song. It makes the players know how the fans feel, it motivates them to score and it provides extra excitement/ginger if the team scores while the fans are singing it. |
Another correction. The Vice President's residence was not renovated. That complex has been under construction forever. It was not completed and nobody has lived in it. Nyesom Wike came and completed it. |
daveP:Dr Rafiu Ladipo did a lot for Nigerian football, but he also wrecked our culture of singing and chanting in the stands. Football chants are never politically correct. Football is like peaceful war and chants should reflect the feeling of the fans. In the 1980s the whole stadium used to sing along with the supporters club and there were different songs and chants for each situation. The singing in the stands reflected what was happening on the pitch and the feeling of the fans. When time has gone and the team hasn't scored, then you'll hear, 🎵All we are saying, give us our goal🎶 And 85,000 people would be singing the same song. When the other team has a freekick or penalty you'll hear, 🎵Gba danu, gba danu, gba sigbo🎶 or 🎵Over the bar! Over the bar!🎶 And everybody would chant together. If we wanted to threaten or warn the opposition or their fans, they'd sing, 🎵Won fi iku sere, won fi iku sere (insert name of opponent), won fi iku sere🎶 Before the match starts everybody would sing 🎵Baba wa ba wa se, Baba wa ba wa se o! Iwo lo wa da wa laiya, Baba wa ba wa se🎶 85,000 people would sing together. Famous musicians like Sam Akpabot would go and join the supporters club. But Dr Rafiu Ladipo became president of the supporters club and then president of the African Supporters Club organisation and he brought political correctness into everything. He said that 🎵All we are saying, give us our goal🎶 put too much pressure on the players. He removed songs and chants that could be considered violent. The result is that what the supporters club plays does not reflect what's happening on the pitch and most times the fans do not sing with them. Their songs do not excite the fans anymore because they cannot relate to them. No new songs are coming up to reflect what's actually happening on the pitch. We hardly have situations when the whole stadium is singing with the supporters club. |
Ishilove:It's not fake news and this has been happening with many countries not just Venezuela. I suspect (but I do not know for sure) that Donald Trump got the idea from Boris Johnson. Many illegal immigrants are streaming across the English Channel to the UK. It's a huge problem that they haven't been able to solve for around 15 years. By law the UK have to accept them if they ask for asylum once they are on British soil. Boris Johnson's idea was to do a deal with Rwanda to take them while their asylum claim was being processed. The deal was challenged in the courts and in Parliament and it never happened before the Conservatives were voted out. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rwanda_asylum_plan Donald Trump's plan is to deport a lot of people, but some countries have refused to accept the deportees, so he is signing agreements with African and South American countries to accept the deportees in exchange for goodies (reduction in tariffs, aid, etc). https://thehill.com/policy/international/5394612-trump-third-country-agreements-africa/ |
This was the first information that went viral and according to the article at the beginning of this thread, this was how the Presidency knew that Buhari was ill. Buhari Spent Days In ICU After Falling Ill During London Medical Trip https://www.nairaland.com/8465084/buhari-spent-days-icu-after Was it Tinubu that leaked that? Buhari's team had to issue a response. Buhari Unwell But Not In ICU, Ex-president’s Aide Clarifies https://www.nairaland.com/8466351/buhari-unwell-not-icu-ex-presidents |
AMINDA:🤣 You commented based on your bias which has no basis in fact. Journalists all over the world cultivate sources. You don't know if the source is in the vice president's entourage, in Buhari's entourage or where it came from. Remember, the journalist sources had already reported that Buhari was ill and in London and this was how the Presidency allegedly found out. Was it Tinubu that also leaked that? How do you know that it was Tinubu that leaked it. The answer is that you don't know. How do you know that Tinubu felt outdone? The answer is that you don't know. Have a good day. I won't read your response since it has been established that you don't know what you are talking about. |
AMINDA:In other words, you don't actually know about any of the things you posted. You just made a story up based on your bias. |
AMINDA:Deflection. You have not answered the questions. naptu2:There is no where in the article that it said that Tinubu leaked it and there is no where in the article that it said that Tinubu was outdone. Please answer the questions. Same questions to the fellow below. Kalulu44: |
AMINDA:Were you present when Tinubu quickly leaked it? How do you know that Tinubu "sensed that he was outdone"? |
AMINDA:Would they not have made it public if they were actually desperately trying to milk the support base? |
