lwisee:This is the reason why presidents from almost all West African countries were at the commissioning of Dangote Refinery. It is also the reason that the refinery is so large. Governments from other West African countries do not benefit from tax on smuggled Nigerian petroleum. In other words, they can't tax it. Dangote Refinery is going to supply other West African countries directly. If what is provided directly by Dangote is cheaper than what is smuggled, then it'll wipe out the smugglers. Dangote Refinery was built to absorb the demand in Nigeria and still have more to export to other West African countries. |

🤍 Ro @ Ro_Henny_ Well, it depends on the season. In summer we hear it through the trunk of an elephant. In spring the giraffes catch signal and play it out loud. You get me?Ṣíjúadé Olúwakúnmi Adéyẹmí @delicate_onyx In Nigeria, we actually go to a town hall and line up to listen to a man called Bulaba sing your mid songs to us. Over to South Africans, how do y'all go about it?Nono Mofokeng @nonsmofokeng He said on what platform or in Nigeria, like South Africa would need to listen in Nigeria. To those that keep saying that renovations would not have been necessary if it was maintained. They have no idea of what is happening. The construction of Teslim Balogun Stadium was started in the mid-1980s before it was abandoned. It was resumed in the 2000s, but still using the original design from the 1980s. It was finally completed in 2007. A lot of the facilities and design of the stadium are outdated. What is happening right now is an upgrade to bring it into the modern era. For example, only the State Box was covered originally (see picture below). Now they are converting it into an all-covered stadium. There were no hospitality suites. Now hospitality suites are being created. It had no facade, but now a facade is being put in place. The flood lights were on poles that were outside the stadium, now they will be on the roof. Basically it was a 1987 type stadium and it is being converted into a 2024 type stadium. The pictures below show the way the stadium looked before the renovation.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu @jidesanwoolu The ongoing transformation of the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere is our government's commitment to investing in facilities that nurture talent and bring communities together. |
EmekaA125:Yet you cannot provide even one example of the tribalism. I will continue creating news threads as I have done for over 12 years and there's not a damn thing that you can do to stop me. |
