A nationwide curfew imposed in Sierra Leone after a break in at the armoury of the main military barracks in Freetown.

Between July and August several senior military and police officers were arrested or extradited over a plot against President Bio who was re-elected in June.

The Sierra Leone leader was in Equatorial Guinea for an AU meeting on UNSC reforms.

Meanwhile, listening to Sierra Leonean radios (Taylor Swift's Cruel Summer was playing on Capital FM) where programming continues as normal. Weather updates now: "no chance of rain in Freetown".

Sierra Leone's president acknowledges the security breach at the barracks in Freetown and says forces are in control as a curfew is underway.

However, they were repelled by our gallant Security Forces and calm has been restored.

As the combined team of our Security Forces continue to root out the remnant of the fleeing renegades, a nationwide curfew has been declared and citizens are encouraged to stay indoors.

The PEACE of our beloved NATION is PRICELESS and we shall continue to protect the peace and security of Sierra Leone against the forces that wish to truncate our much-cherished stability.

I wish to formally announce that I have withdrawn from the panel of the Alaigbo Youth Summit, as a result of the very sad chain of events that occurred yesterday; threats, insults & attacks on my person etc. My decision was reached after discussions with concerned business associates and my family.
