Nigeria's 63rd Independence Anniversary Public Lecture at the National Mosque, Abuja on Friday 29th September, 2023.

The Deputy President of the Senate, Sen @BarauJibrin CON represented the President and Commender-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, HE @officialABAT at the public lecture and special prayer to mark the 63rd Independence Anniversary of Nigeria at the National Mosque, Abuja.

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral EI Ogalla and President Naval Officers' Wives Association (NOWA), Mrs Ijeoma Ogalla and some senior officers and NOWA members at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja for the Independence Day Interdenominational Service on Sunday 1 October 2023.

Today, I attended the Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service to mark Nigeria's 63rd Independence Anniversary at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja.

Our First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, my leader in the Senate, Opeyemi Bamidele, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume, Minister of the FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike and other dignitaries were also in attendance.

I read the first Bible reading of the Service from the book of Jeremiah Chapter 30: verses 18- 22.

This church behind my house is moving their vigil to another venue outside our estate. According to them, 'one child of perdition kept on reporting to LASEPA'. I own this title if it makes us sleep soundly at night in our abodes. This battle has been won at last. Thank you Jesus.

Lasepa has taken action against lots of churches, mosques, music stores, hotels, bars and factories that have been engaged in noise pollution and there are many nairaland threads about those incidents, so I'll encourage you to complain, because the system works.

The picture shows the order of precedence at that time.

President Babangida was the number 1 citizen, so he was at the centre of the picture. Aikhomu was the number 2 citizen, so he was on Babangida's right. Bali was the number 3 citizen, so he was on Babangida's left. The Army is the senior service (because it is the oldest), so Abacha is on Aikhomu's right. The Navy is the second oldest service, so Koshoni is on Bali's left. The Air Force is the youngest service and the Police Force is a civilian organisation and that's why Alfa and Gambo are at the edge of the photograph.

Between 9 pm yesterday and 1.00 am today, LASEPA, led by Mr. Kayode Bello, Director, MC & E Dpt conducted a night enforcement operation as directed by the HC, MOE & WR @tokunbo_wahab.

The action was taken in response to various environmental pollution, resulting in sealing off of several establishments, including Lennox Mall, The Place, Brasas'r Place, Admiralty Mall, undeveloped land, Cmart Supermarket, a residential building, Freesia Foodies Restaurant, Nectar Beauty Hub, and Sailor Lounge.
