Since you are also an investor in MBA, you can be visiting the thread as one, and stop bossing around as an employee who can't answer simple questions... It seems to me you are new here. Airsaylongcom has really been very helpful to every investors on this thread new or old. He takes his time to put anyone who needed help through even when they are really annoying. Honestly, he his a very cool person, all what you wrote about him is Laughable. But you should apologize. |

Adasun: how do someone stop working for currency? A currency is coined from the word current (electricity), it is designed to move from asset to asset every seconds. To move from hands to hands and not to be hoarded. What I am simply trying to say is, it should work for you, you don't work for it. |

Shanklee: Think of it. If everyone is as rich as Bill Gate, no one would struggle to provide anything in exchange for money anymore. So you'll be left to consume or possess what you can produce. In 1971, president Nixon took the gold standard off the dollar, from that moment money became a currency, it value was backed up by the trust of the people using it. The more it is used the valuable it becomes. Anyway, the reason for this was so that the United States will be able to print more dollars, and not to make people poor, the printing of more dollar enables a country to easily pays off its debt and it also boost a country economy. More money in an economy means more transaction and transaction is the sole factor that determines the prosperity of a country. But backed then money was turned into a currency because of the latter, as United States was not a debt country then, infact the highest creditor in the world. Ever since this changes happened, money is no longer money, and people who do not understand that are perishing. No matter how hard they work, they will always endup with nothing. What they are working for is a currency and a currency is design to go down to ZERO. |

maticdamian: One word, inflation... More money printed results to less value for the money this happened to Germany after the ww2 and they thought printing more will bring end to the destabilized economy they were wrong instead the currency became invaluable and one bread was sold for 30m dmark eventually UN intervened and gave them real money to get economy back on track Yeah, I can remember a popular story back then in Germany, about a woman who packed lots of money into her wheelbarrow to purchase a loaf of bread, when she got to the bakery, she entered to negotiate for the bread by the time she came out, her wheelbarrow was stolen and all the money was left on the floor...Lol. What a total destruction of wealth. But on a normal day currency are designed to go down in value but slowly. It goes down faster when a country is incompetent in improving the value of their currency. A Currency value is backed up by the people using it. |

FabulousAutos: Thanks for that info. This is more beneficial to those who invests with their eyes closed.
Weather you like it or not, this is a high risk investment which comes with mouthwatering and irresistible ROI and whoever tells you that such investments would last till thy kingdom comes is not being truthful at all. Wise investors don’t invest more than what they can afford to lose especially when it comes to high risk investments. The person that introduced me here invested 20m through his children’s accounts which is what he can afford to lose and he is cashing out 3 million Naira monthly while I invested 2m few weeks ago which to me is the limit I can afford to lose at the moment. I have to spread the other cash to other investments cos I understand that no matter the good intention of the company, you can’t overrule the fact that several businesses in this country are operating under harsh government policies and other mitigative forces can come to into play as well.
I pray it lasts longer than expected so let’s enjoy it while it lasts but we still need to tell each other the truth which is, NEVER INVEST MORE THAN WHAT YOU CANT AFFORD TO LOSE and NEVER PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET. I've heard of people who took sniper or jump the third mainland bridge because they ignored these rules till reality dawned on them. I pray that this will never be our case.
Nobody should break my head or quote me out of context pls after all, I’m entitled to my opinion.
I COME IN PEACE! I honestly could not agree more. You know in Life, Risk and Reward goes hand in hand, you cannot separate them. Risk is what separates a mediocre from a successful person. Trying to get a big reward without having to take risk, is more like being a Thief. Infact, even thief takes Risk. If there is anything worst than being a Thief, that would be it. |

Neverlosemoney: I see no valid point in your comments. All I see is someone with a LOSER mindsets. I can bet you are not an investor, it alright. let face the truth, though it can be bitter, but some people are just born to be LOSERS. No matter the opportunities they come across in life they will always pass it off. I will disagree and agree with you. Firstly, no one is born to be a loser, "God do not take time to create a Loser" we decide if we want to become a loser I agreed, the guy as a loser mindsets, he uses the words of a Loser, maybe just maybe, he has decided to become a Loser. |

MBA has spoken to them before now that they should come up with the modalities of regulating them but till the time of typing this, i dont think they have developed any. Online FX trading is diff from stocks and all other investments. Security and exchange commission to the best of my knowledge has to do with Stocks investments which they have regulatory frame work for.
The function of the Securities and Exchange Commission is to regulate investment and securities business in Nigeria. Investment and securities business in Nigeria is carried out in the capital market. The capital market plays very important role in the development of any economy.- functions of sec That is truly the problem for most people, they just go around saying for they hear but do not even understand. |

thesilentone: This is a flawed argument. If one is interested in buying the index, you might be better off giving your money to the hedge fund manager who will save you the 'stress' of running an account to get the same results. It would be enlightening to the readers if you explained to them how indexes work.
If you don't want to do any research, if you can't be asked to do any due diligence, by all means buy the indexes. You don't even need to read any books, just buy the index and expect the overall market returns. Even WB does not buy the index. You meant to say mutual funds. I won't advise anyone to touch it with a pole. |

Topson88: Thanks alot koonbey, I plan to leave the fund invested for 5 to 10years. I appreciate. The reality is market crash always occur(but crash is not something to be dreaded but infact opportunities) at least every 10-15 years from the last crash sometimes there are exceptions, but they will still occur, no one knows when. That is why trying to time the market is a just a Loser game. Since you are going for a long term which is the wisest thing to do, I will advice you to invest in index fund, this is save and a form of passive investment, you do not need to actively monitor your portfolio and please do not invest all your money at once, though you can but I will advise not. Invest little by little from time to time. Leave the rest to the power of compounding. |

IRIENBOY: Setting up a Palm Kernel Oil Production Factory The oil that is derived from palm kernel nuts is used for producing vegetable oil, cosmetic products, soaps and detergent, in the confectionery and pastry industries, margarine and for other vital industrial purposes. Palm kernel oil extraction business is one of the hidden lucrative and profitable businesses that many people are yet to know much about or anything at all. Unless you are told of how lucrative this business is by an insider, you will never believe it makes any money let alone making millions. But I can tell you for certainty and for free that palm kernel oil extraction business is a mega millions business. It is one business one can start at very small scale with easy and make millions without any headache or stress. The market for the finished products is a seller’s market. They buyers look for you and een pay in advance by depositing cash into your account and allow you time to buy the raw material and produce for them. You could even calculate your profits before purchasing the raw materials in other word you could be using the buyer’s money as your working capital. Do you know that you can make between N100,000 and N150,000 daily even as a medium/ scale producer? Are you aware that palm kernel oil product is one of the few products you can sell right at the point of production or in advance, without necessarily needing to take it to the market? That the buyers normally bear the rist and cost of delivery? That you can even use the buyer’s money as your working capital? That you can determine your profit even before you start buying up raw materials. It can be run on a small, medium and large scale, depending on your financial capacity. You may be wondering but where can one get palm kernel nuts in large quantity? It is produced in hundreds of thousands tones in the South Eastern, South Southern, South Western and some areas in the Middle Belt parts of Nigeria annually. All you need to do is to go set up your palm kernel oil extraction business around anywhere in the Southern part of this country or you transport the raw materials to your desired location nationwide. It is however most profitable when you set it up where you can get Palm Kernel Nuts PKN in large quantity due to transportation costs and other logistics. Ondo, Ekiti, Osun and Edo state are also good at the production of palm kernel nuts ,too, so you may decide to source it there if you are within the West. The entire geographical region of Southern Nigeria, Southern Cameroon, Southern Benin Republic, Togo and even other South Coastal areas of West Africa is a palm tree zone. How much capital will be needed to start a small scale?. All cost of operating (fixed and variable cost) included. |

tommieen: My people, please lets be guided on all this speculative trading.
Invest long term and lets forget the get rich quick mentality.
Just saw this today and it saddened me as i know quite a number of people who would be caught in this cross fire.
https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/15/hertz-says-it-expects-stockholders-to-lose-all-their-money-in-filing-for-selling-more-stock.html Honestly speaking, people are always entice by the romance of the market quote, creating an illusion that they can make quick money by taking advantage on the short term volatility of the market. With my experience from the stock market, I can bodly tell you the more you trade the less you make. The only way you can make money from the market is with the help of a "LONG TERM PATIENCE" please invest for the Long term. Have been with this thread for a while and I am very glad people, mostly the young ones on this forum are getting expose to investing in the U.S stock market. But please don't be seduce by market distraction, it does not end well. If you just can't stay away from market seduction, just try and only use 10% of your money for speculation at most 20% and use the remaining 90% for long term investing. In the long run you will see which one of the two accounts have made you financially secure. I am willing to stake my both hands on the long term account. Speculating is scam. |
