Commuters say this is coming at a time when the cost of road transportation is fast increasing and unavoidably expensive. FG Task NAIRAXI, Others On Interventions In Transport System By Godson Ikpontu Federal Government has charged Nigeria’s Indigenous tech-powered mobility company (NAIRAXI ) and other private sectors on the invention to deploy workable strategies aimed at tackling challenges of mass transit across the nation. This came few weeks before the new Minister of State for Transportation, Ademola Adewole Adegoroye called on the need for transportation intervention initiatives by other private sector transport Operators ahead of the proposed final removal of subsidy from petrol in June 2023. The then Minister of state for Transportation, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, made the call while speaking on the need for tech-driven interventions, citing instances with Nigeria's fast growing tech-powered mobility company-NAIRAXI. Senator Gbemisola, represented by Ojo Idehaloisa noted that the solution provider to mass transit challenges in Nigeria is NAIRAXI and if there is anything the ministry of transportation has been looking for is intervention in Nigeria's road transport system. According to the Minister, Nairaxi represents what the federal government has always looked out for, and that the Ministry of transportation will always welcome any idea aimed at solving mass transit challenges. He said “What NAIRAXI has brought in is what the ministry has been addressing or trying to address for the past four years. So at a time like this when NAIRAXI is coming in, I think it will help the transport system and the Ministry. With their intervention, the country will begin to see improvement in the road transport system. Speaking at the event, the founder of the company, Kingsley Eze, explained that the collaboration with the Ministry of transport is to upscale transportation infrastructure in Nigeria. He said “This initiative will help reduce the number of cars on the road and also boost the economy sector. "We have to stick with the ministry and the need to organize our transport system and also leverage on technology to scale it up, make it more organized, very lucrative, a source of revenue for everybody. Implementing Project Nairaxi; A Solution To Fuel Subsidy Crisis In Nigeria By Godson Ikpontu The final planned removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government in June 2023 may awaken new hopes for Nigerians and especially the public transport system, as Nigeria's Indigenous tech-powered mobility company NAIRAXI, suggests the final implementation of her Integrated and Intermodal Transport Scheme powered by smart technology. The Nairaxi Co-Founder says with FG seeking special Intervention schemes to manage the impending crisis that might trail the removal of fuel subsidy, the need for an Integrated and Intermodal Transport Scheme will do more than expected, not only by resolving the crisis but also by creating new opportunities in the country. He said the NAIRAXI transport mass mobility system will be capable of servicing everyone, both VIPs, top executives, workers, students and even last mile commuters. I therefore advice that if a fraction of 640billion naira is spent on road transport which is just 10percent of the 6.4trillion naira spent annually on fuel subsidy, there will be better impact and improvements in road transport system." He further explained that the 5,000naira proposed by the Minister of Finance, Mrs Zainab Ahmed for transport allowances will work better if there is a verifiable and transparent structure like the “pre-loaded transit cards given out to beneficiaries and service fulfillment by NAIRAXI. However he cited instance on the Abuja Mass Transit Scheme which may have failed as a result of bad management systems. He therefore encouraged federal government and the Federal Ministry of Transportation to engage private Transport operators with fundamental and developmental vision, having the required structures, expertise and technology to drive the implementation of President Buhari's interest on special scheme for mass transit to be driven by transport operators for ease of transportation across the country. Although he commended the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabinet for the monumental strides they have attained amidst the bothering national challenges. Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Northern Youth Kicks against Shetima, Mocks Planned Arewa Coalition Match for Tinubu VP With the growing trends of ethnic and religious sentiments becoming a cankerworm that is fast eating deep into the political stability of the ruling All Progressive Congress, a northern youth group has disassociated itself from the planned one Million man-match in support of the controversial Muslim-muslim ticket. The group mocked the planned one million man-match by Arewa People's Coalition, saying that they will barely get 100persons to join their fruitless match. The Northern youth group noted that non of its members across the north will participate in the so-called match by the Arewa People's Coalition, stressing that it was baseless and insignificant. They vowed to join the massive Lagos protest, stressing that the ruling party must reconsider the choice of Shetima and listen to the yearnings of youths in it's political choices or face the odds of loosing the massive votes of Nigerian youths in the coming presidential elections. Speaking during an exclusive interview in Adamawa state, the Chairman of Northern Youth Gazette, Sadiq Abubakar warned emphatically on the negative effect of the planned one million man-match. He stated that the clamour for the replacement of Shetima has become a national issue that requires immediate intervention. He further noted that the level of sentiments being promoted at the moment especially by groups within the party encouraging the muslim-muslim ticket may reduce the chances of APC in the coming polls. Sadiq was reacting to the massive number of supporters that participated in the Lagos solidarity protest, where youths, women and children rolled out enmasse to seek a replacement of Shetima. This is happening just few weeks after a massive protest rocked the APC secretariate, where groups protested against Shetima as VP Candidate. There are fears that the protest against the VP candidate may continue massively and could even be replicated across other states if party Leaders fail to look critically into this wide spreading problem which is fast creating more controversy and leading to countless decamping of Members from the party. Analyst have argued that the muslim-muslim ticket is the basic problem which the ruling party is faced with today and until this is resolved, the vision towards victory in the 2023 polls may yet be blurry. The national Chairman of Northern Youth Gazzette condemned Arewa People's Coalition and her planned One Million Man-Match to support the muslim-muslim ticket of the ruling party. He stressed that the planned match was not in the interest of the party, instead it is targeted at promoting the weakness and insensitivity of the party. He therefore noted that the planned match will not hold because so many northern youths are unhappy with the selection of a muslim-muslim ticket as allowing such may deem the party's chances at the polls. He concluded by emphasising on the credibility and competence of Christians from the north whom the ruling party should consider for the VP Candidate. He noted that if the consideration is made, the tension of ethnic and religious sentiments which is fast bedeviling the party's progress will become history. He adviced the party to look towards Taraba, Adamawa and other states in the north for their search.

Balancing Regional Lines key to APC victory -Northern Group . A coalition of Northern leaders have stated their position in the struggle for a suitable presidential pair for APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They maintained that balancing regional lines in the choice for a Vice President is key to the Party's victory in 2023. The meeting which was organised to engage the presidential candidate of APC, Senator Bola Tinubu and stakeholders in the party also outlined the advantages of considering a Christian VP Candidate from the Northeast. They opined that Northeast in all political consideration deserves the VP ticket, otherwise the party may be unable to capture the bulk Christian votes in the North and South. The meeting witnessed several deliberations and discussions on the overall political situations in the country, as well as the bothering challenges of a suitable Vice presidential Candidate in the ruling party that accommodates both regional and religious considerations. According to the Coalition, the need to consider a VP Candidate from the Northeast is paramount and unequivocally imminent to the victory of APC in the coming polls. They stated that religion and regional politics has remained a basic parameter which significantly influences voter's decision especially with the current realities in Nigeria. They adviced APC on a rethink on it's proposed muslim-muslim ticket, stressing that it is a decoy that has been created to endanger the party to doom. "APC may not get the bulk votes it desire in the north, as a result of the strongholds of oppositions in the north, except it considers a Christian VP candidate". We all know that Muslims in the North will slide behind the PDP presidential Candidate, Atiku Abukakar, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of NNPP will also grab a chunk of votes in the north through religious sympathy, not undermining the political influence of Action Alliance Party Candidate Hamza Al-Mustapha. The question now is, where would the bulk Christian votes go after the bulk Muslim votes have been shared? "Although it is clear, the bulk Christian votes can only be captured if the ruling party identifies a Christian VP from the northeast. On the other hand, APC may end up without the bulk Christian vote if it maintains the proposed muslim-muslim ticket. This explains that APC will loose on religious grounds and also be swayed out on regional considerations. We all know that the Southsouth, Southeast and Southwest would throw supports only behind a presidential candidate who considers their religion and not a candidate that neglects religious and regional balances. The coalition however warned APC against adopting strategies which are sponsored by enemies within the party to cause confusions, controversies and eventual failure in the coming elections. They announced that the 2023 elections will not go the usual way especially with the current digital e-voting system, which significantly reduces the rate of vote manipulations. Although the coalition of Northern leaders also acknowledged the challenges facing the party and informed Nigerians that Taraba state was indeed the destination for the right choice of a Running Mate for Tinubu when looking towards the northeast. They however suggested the distinguished nobility of Chief Ezekiel Afunkoyo, a Taraba state APC Chieftain who has maintained an outstanding track record as a devout Security Expert, an Investment Strategist, a seasoned Diplomat and a grassroot Mobiliser. Afunkoyo has versatile skills, certifications and the required wealth of experience needed to support the growth and development of the party. He is from the Jukun tribe of Kwarrafa that cuts across over 7states in the north and especially Taraba State where he hails from. Analysts have stated that with a VP candidate in the person of Afunkoyo for APC, victory is assured. They stated that his affluence, affiliations, knowledge and capacity will indeed compliment excellently in alliance with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Ezekiel is currently the Chairman of the Board of Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital(NAUTH). He is a 3times Governorship Aspirant in Taraba State and also a Member of the Presidential Defence Think-tank Committee. His role towards the growth and sustenance of APC as the ruling party cannot be overemphasized. Ezekiel has several visionary plans for Nigeria, especially in the economic and agricultural sector. He has outlined prospective initiatives on monetary, fiscal, trade, immigration and consumer protection reforms which will enable businesses to strive in fruition. Afunkoyo will also improve healthcare grants, educational grants and expand the basic health care provisional funds. In areas of insecurity, Afunkoyo as a Security Expert will exploit his wealth of experience by engaging an immediate rapid response through dialogues, international supports and citizens inclusions through adequate intelligence and national defence tactics. He has held several appointments and represented Nigeria at international functions and forals, some of which includes, the Oil and Gas Conference in Ravenna Italy, the International Conference for Security Experts held in Abu Dhabi, the Conference on Poverty Eradication in Africa held at Lebreville, Gabon. Afunkoyo had also represented Nigeria at the ECOWAS Expert Draft Committee Meeting on Child Trafficking in Ghana, led the Team that evacuated Nigerian Refugees and Prisoners in Bangkok, Thailand as Member of the Joint Expert Training on Immigration Programme in Netherlands. He also represented Nigeria at the Commonwealth Youth Forum in UK, after which he was appointed as Secretary (Security), Christian Pilgrimage to Israel. As a grassroot Mobilizer, He has sponsored massive campaigns and supports for APC, which has improved the recognition of the party across Nigeria and particularly in the North. The coalition upholds that the suggestion of Afunkoyo from the Northeastern region as VP Candidate was premised on several immeasurable certainties which defines him as a loyal and vibrant running mate to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. While speaking with Newsmen in Abuja on Friday morning, the APC-NSSF Leader condemned the imposition of Candidates in the party, he says, "the imposition of Candidates usually causes very serious crises in the party". He further stated that it will create an avenue for the party to review Aspirant's influence and capacity. He therefore made reference to previous imposed Leaderships in the party, while citing instances with the Oshomole crisis, thereby emphasizing on how it backslided growth in the party. Although, the APC-National Stakeholders Supporters Forum has been on the frontline in the campaign for good governance and impactful leadership across the country, so as to maintain a remarkable integrity for the party. Few hours ago, the group was received by an Aspirant Contesting for the National Chairman of the Party. During the visit to HE, Sen. Tanko Almakura, the group maintained that their support will be thrown behind the Aspirant with the best manifesto and visionary mandate for the party. They however encouraged the monumental leadership of Sen. Tanko Almakura, with assurance of the Forum's support towards the growth and development of APC. The APC-National Stakeholders Supporters Forum is currently meeting with all Aspirants contesting for the office of the national chairman of the party in efforts to ensure that the leadership for the party is been achieved.

Alleged Arson; Group Challenges FMBN MD Ahmed Dangiwa On Fire Outbreak At Headquarters, Seeks Critical Investigation. Few hours ago, the headquarters of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria in Abuja was gutted by fire. According to our reports, the fire outbreak had destroyed several sensitive documents especially in the office of the SA to the Managing Director, Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa Musa and extended to the Board Room before the fire was put away. In a statement by a renowned civil society organization, it challenged the MD to be responsible as it calls for severe FG intervention. The statement further stated that the sensitive documents that was destroyed during the outbreak was an organised crime to cover several unholy activities masterminded by key senior officers in the bank and the Managing Director. The fire started from the office of the Special Adviser to the Managing Director, Ahmed Dangiwa and extended to the boardroom of the bank where very sensitive documents was destroyed. The curious question is "why would such outbreak occur in the most sensitive departments and offices at FMBN Headquarter. However, the fire incident is coming at a time when the bank is awaiting approval from the Ministry of Works to implement a retirement plan in a bid to stay afloat, thereby extending their stay in office. Further investigation has also proven that the recent FG rejection of reappointment of Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa Musa may also be an under-tone influence in the recent outbreak which is aimed at forestalling a structure that the will cover his atrocious activities, as he is left with less than one month to step down. Recalled that the headquarters of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria located in Abuja has been gutted by fire. A source at bank who pleaded not to be named as he was not officially permitted to speak on the matter told journalists in Abuja,on Thursday,said,fire lasted for two hours before it was put out by 1am. The official said that as a result of the fire incident, those from the position of Senior Managers and below were asked to go home on Thursday morning until Monday when they will be informed on the new date of their resumption.
