Using VAR in offside decisions just no follow. That atom of human error is part of the game.

What is the linesman job on that touchline? If they can't trust the linesman decision in offside situations, they should as well scrape them.

IMO VAR should be used in penalty decisions but not offside.
But why should it be used for Penalty situations and not offside? Why don't we leave Penalty situations to human error as well? It's part of the game isn't it? There is no data to show also that it takes longer to resolve Penalty situations using VAR than it does for offside, so I am not sure what the point is.

VAR improves the accuracy of decisions in the game. I don't know what there is such resistance to it.

Look at how long it took to line and measure that offside incident.

One cannot even celebrate a goal or penalty again.

That's not even up to a an inch offside!
It was the right decision, even if less than an inch.
And that's the most important thing isn't it?

Without VAR there, they get a penalty, perhaps 1-1 and it's a different game.
Should we let that happen, because we want to celebrate a goal well?

CHO should stop coming in. Shouldn't even be making the bench. What the hell is Lampard seeing in him that no one else is seeing.
What's the intense scrutiny with this boy sef? I don't think there's any other player whose every move is scrutinised more than him.

I see decent potential. How can we ask a 20-year old not to come on anymore?

We need to be patient with young players. Everyone was bad today. Not just CHO

Ya a good pick by Lampard should do the same for LB atleast still we get a good LB. Wont be surprised if Lampard has considered Juan Castillo already.
Juan Castillo is behind Ian Maatsen in development.

If Lampard will introduce Tariq Lamptey at such a crucial time in the game, then Ian is not far away from making a debut, as Emerson and Alonso seem not to have nailed down that place already.

22 years old, 14 goals and 3 assists in all competitions in half a season, I will take that.

People wey still dey support this Abraham guy have zero knowledge about football. He doesn't have the potential to improve at all. If you understand football well, you'd agree with me. Part of the reason I hardly comment here. Most people here are just paper fans who wouldn't even beat an agbero in a viewing center when it comes to in-depth football knowledge.
Mrs 'It's Abraham's fault' don find opportune moment to return.

Everyone taking it out on their favourite scape goats. This one must go on loan, that one must not play again.

Patience. I thought there was consensus in the belief that it would be a tough season. No one even expected top finish. Now moments of testing that belief arrives, and people are losing their sh1iit.

Lampard created some good moments, and now everyone is suddenly an expert on what should happen.

I hope Lampard keeps his cool and not come under unwarranted scrutiny. There will be inconsistencies, bad results, and under-performing players.

I guess when people thought sixth place finish would be a tough ask, they didn't really understand what that meant.

From the highlighted posts, you can see how flawed your argument is.

I said that Tammy has disappointed in the big games this season and that is a blatant FACT.
We have played about 12 big games this season including the UCL games and he has only one goal to show for it. That's stark poor, especially when you consider the amount of chances this team has created, even in the big games, it's logical to expect the striker to score goals.

Yes, I agree with you that there are genuine reasons why he doesnt score goals on the big stage ie, lack of experience and limitations of the manager and the club in general but the FACT still remains that he has massively underwhelmed in the big games.

There is no fault in advocating for Giroud to have a little run in the team. It will encourage a healthy competition between them and Giroud has posted good numbers for his country where he has been given the chance.
No mate, my logic is not flawed for the simple reason that I accept that Tammy is over-performing at this level for his age. You cannot call Tammy disappointing at any point of this season. If he was truly disappointing, he would have cost at least £50m by today's transfer market standards. PL leading scorer.

He cost us zilch, he had no expectations to rise up to, no promises to fulfill, and generally nothing to prove. In fact, if he'd scored no single goal till date, no one would have worried. That's fact! How then do you call that disappointing? Disappoint who? My boy is doing more than we bargained for.

You probably want to say that having seen what he can do, you want to see him do more. That's understandable. Your perception and appreciation of his abilities have changed. But that view cannot be held in isolation of his age (I repeat again, just turned 22 in October), his PL experience and general experience of his managers and coaches.

There is no precedence for any expectation of Tammy to score against big teams. Hence, no disappointment can be attributed.

Please leave Tammy where he is abeg. Like I say, perspective is everything. 22 year old who's scored 35% of our total goals? Remove those goals, where do you think we will be?

You cannot use only one match to judge a player, after all, Tammy has been very disappointing in our Champions League campaign and the big games overall this season
Please, please, stop saying Tammy has been disappointing in big games and UCL games. This is the most disingenuous statement uttered in here this season.

For goodness sake, what exactly did anyone expect from Tammy this season? Not even us, ardent supporters of Tammy thought by now, he would have scored 5 goals, let alone 11. So he's not scored against any big team...so phucking what? Is this what you expected at the start of the season? So where is this disappointing feeling coming from?

The truth is no one expected Chelsea to have a successful season....and by extension, no one expected Tammy to be leading the line, carrying the heavy expectations of goal creation, so much, that he's suddenly become disappointing. He's 22 for phuck's sake. He's 22 as in 2 months ago, he was 21. How many 21 year olds are leading goal scorers for their teams, really?

The truth is, Chelsea is over-performing so far......and by extension Tammy has surpassed any expectation had of him at the start of the season.

So no, Tammy has not been disappointing, neither has Chelsea overall.

No single Chelsea fan predicted a top four tussle, winning streak, or any of our players competing for top scorers in the league.

You guys need to chill.... Understand that our young players are very young but putting in a serious shift and over performing so far; appreciate that despite not having spent a single pound on new players, and hiring what was considered a rookie manager, we are now in a position where some of us can start to consider our performance, or some of our players, 'disappointing'.

Perspective please.
