You can draw parallels between Neto and Ramires. Swiss Knife players. I can always see the usefulness of such players in the squad, especially when they themselves are comfortable being that utility player for the squad. Neto can play all across the front line for us, including RWB, LWB and I am sure if the need arises, LB.

As far as I am aware, I have not seen anyone comparing Neto and Estevao.

Neto came in to play RWB. Estevao was playing the RHS 10.

Neto replaced Gusto. Palmer replaced Estevao.

The main reason why it must be two midfielders is if we run into a major problem playing with 3ATB against quality opposition, and we need to go with a 4-3-3 or 4-2-1-3.

Now imagine having to do that but no Caicedo. We have no midfielders. Lavia is barely match fit for 90 mins. Henderson is senior man and Barcola is too slight to marshall any midfield by himself.

The rest are kids in Watson and Jazuli.

Trust me, even you would like to see a midfield 3 and forward 3 of......

I don't understand what the expectation was. There was never a time we were going to outplay Arsenal.

I don't want to believe it is entirely wrong formation,maybe the implementation is just wrong because so far i am yet to see were it gives an edge.

The advantage is supposed to be at stretching play in the wings, without compromising space between the front 3 to achieve the same. Therefore the strength of the WBs are essential to the ser-up .... but we are playing with neither.

The second problem is that we failed to sign midfielders.

Even then, Palestra, Chavaria, Caicedo, when all fit give us quantifiable impetus.
