I was correctly predicting Alonso's set up for the season, understanding that James does not fit in a 2-man midfield, correctly predicting a possible Caicedo sideline, understanding that early days of the 3ATB setup might presage a challenge against quality opposition, and consequently proposing the need for two new midfielders to mitigate the aforementioned issues.

So dead any agenda you have.

The main reason why it must be two midfielders is if we run into a major problem playing with 3ATB against quality opposition, and we need to go with a 4-3-3 or 4-2-1-3.

Now imagine having to do that but no Caicedo. We have no midfielders. Lavia is barely match fit for 90 mins. Henderson is senior man and Barcola is too slight to marshall any midfield by himself.

The rest are kids in Watson and Jazuli.

Trust me, even you would like to see a midfield 3 and forward 3 of......

I don't understand what the expectation was. There was never a time we were going to outplay Arsenal.

We are only a few weeks into the new idea. We have to keep it tight at the back, and break forward.

I don't want to believe it is entirely wrong formation,maybe the implementation is just wrong because so far i am yet to see were it gives an edge.

The advantage is supposed to be at stretching play in the wings, without compromising space between the front 3 to achieve the same. Therefore the strength of the WBs are essential to the ser-up .... but we are playing with neither.

The second problem is that we failed to sign midfielders.

Even then, Palestra, Chavaria, Caicedo, when all fit give us quantifiable impetus.
