I think CArllotti is trying to give Drog some warm-up.

He is a talent that has to be played. . . and since he won't displace the more consistent middle players - Lamps and Stevie - we deploy him to the left.

A very different scenario
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by nateevs(op): 6:21pm On Oct 28, 2009
@Ibime,

You and i have been through this before.
No one hugs the touch-line like before . . Agreed.

How about we don't call them Wingers anymore then since the 4-4-2 doesn't exist. . . ?

The reason it will be wrong to call the role a winger's is because many managers have deployed all sorts of personnel in those positions.
Barcelona played the 4-3-3 for about the whole of last season with Henry, Eto and Messi . .

Going by this assertion, Henry and Messi have suddenly become wingers. You and I know that is not true. That's where it'll practically wrong to call the role a winger's role.
They are forwards. . Wide forwards, whichever way you look at it.

@Chac.

I didn't label Robben a winger because he plays in a 4-3-3 . .I called him a winger because he has the attributes to play in a 4-4-2 system. Did you not see me call Young a winger. He plays in a 4-3-3 but he also has the quality to play in a typical 4-4-2 system. .

Joe Cole in my opinion is not a Winger. . but a forward.

Nateevs,
if a player has been playing as a winger for 2 or more years, he can definitely be called a winger.
Unless your telling me Mikel is NOT a holding midfielder, u have no point!
Bros as far as I am concerned, all those players are forwards. Wide forwards. . . Not wingers.
A winger is SWP, Lennon, Walcott, Young, Robben Giggs, Beckham.

Joe Cole never played as a winger in Chelsea . . . He played as a forward. A wide forward.

I finally got to know today that I never knew what a winger was . . .

Joe Cole,
Van Persie,
Rosicky,
Modric,
Robinho,
Arshavin.

I am made to know from the debate are all wingers. . .

It's either this forum has been moved to Stragate-Universe or I never ever really knew what a winger was.

The way you keep hyping our reserve team, I would have thought Arnesen is doing a brilliant job.
He is doing a decent job to be honest. . . but very far from a brilliant job. Until one player from the academy or youth holds down a first team spot we will never see what he's done.
Personally I will give him one big round of applause the day Kakuta makes his debut. I gave him one for Jefferey Bruma.

Other of his signings like DiSanto, Miroslav Stoch are on the verge but not quite there yet.

Having said that, his job is a unique one. He can and must never rest. He is only as good as his last signing. If a kid out there will make Kakuta look average, he has to go bring that kid. There's always one kid out there ready to explode. A kid that needs only a handful of chances to lock a place on the bench at least. Until Frankie does this, we is never going to be seen as having done a brilliant job. . .
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by nateevs(op): 10:34am On Oct 27, 2009
The press don come again. Just when they heard Chelsea are going to appeal the decision and will def bring in more players, the next logic to sell stories will be to re-visit some summer transfer activities.

£50m for Aguero? . . I am a massive fan of Aguero but £50m? . . Someone has to be on a first-class flight to the land of insanity. £25m max! Anything more. . Thanks but no thanks . . We will mange with Anelka, DiSanto and DS.

We'll play Ballack as a make shift DM with Essien and Mikel gone . . .Joe on the right of the diamond and Deco at the top. If we have to change, we'll beg general Lamps to play o the right of the diamond, take Joe to the top and put Malouda or Zhirkov on the left.

Plus the ban on Kakuta will be over then and we'll get to see what a wonderful talent he is.

Shikena!

We have passed the era of spending £30m on one player let alone £50m. Arnesen should off his back side and do what he is f.ucking paid to do.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan Thread by nateevs(m): 10:15am On Oct 27, 2009
U needed 2 dodgy decisions from the referee to score 2 goals at Wembley in August.
That was a team without Vida and VDS.
There isn't any other team in the world whose Manager and fans think they have a right to win all matches. . . So when they lose, it's the Ref. . . "Not for the Ref, we would have won" Everytime they lost or drew this Season, it's been the ref".

We beat you . . Simple.

Vidic is Drogba-Killer.
Drogba can never get any joy with Vidic on the pitch.
Is he eligible to play? Vidic is dead. . . Vidic is a myth. . . It'll be like taking candy from a boy. These days, Drogba can score with his eyes closed. . . His fore-fathers invented the goal post. . . grin grin

The last time Joey/Lampard played against United, we won 2-0. grin grin
Fletcher will destroy em both. grin
Who cares about last time. . . I care about now.
Hey who's fletcher. . ?

Ballack is a witless apprentice.
Giggsy raped him without condoms in the 3-0 massacre in January. grin grin
By witless you mean the way he bullied Evra eh? . . . Look don't get it twisted. I don't argue that you didn't beat Chelsea 3-0 . . you did fair and square. You must admit however that it was a gift. You will never meet that Chelsea twice in two years. That was a very unfit Chelsea, playing in its worst shape in five years and you know it.
I wouldn't want to think Fergie will be as dumb as saying we beat them 3-0 last year so it's a piece of cake.

Liverpool a team with all sorts of problems and without arguably their best player made you guys look like a championship side and you are already making mouth to a team with confidence at the moment. I won't say a lot now. It's only two weeks away.

The best I can say is I think you should buy that new remote. You may need it. cheesy

You can still type. . .
That means you haven't eaten your remote.

that's a breach of agreement. . .

Secondly you need a third remote . . cos you are going to have to eat the second one when you come to SB. .

Chelsea's style don't suit you mate. . . You know not what you talk about. .
Chelsea have the strongest midfield in the Prem . . . and the best strike force. . the best attacking full backs. . and the best defence
So I ask . . which one of these suits you . . ?

Vidic won't be available if I am right . . .and Rio is a Chelsea player. . grin
Joe cole is back and Lampard found his old boots in a hidden locker. .
Drogba seems to have signed a deal to score in every game. .
Ballack will be waiting to test his "Elbow" on Evra again. .

So which one of these suits you ?
I didn't factor in a dubious referee.

The game woulda been a different outlook had Carragher had walked after fouling Owen.
Carrick also had a stone wall penalty that was ignored.

Liverpool were the better side without a doubt but how many times have United won league games when they play rubbish?
Right now, I don't care about Utd winning the league. . .
I am more concerned about you eating that remote. . .  grin

You still don't believe Utd is weak. . . . What could have happened if Stevie G was playing alongside Benayoun?
