@Visitor30.

I am sorry for not responding to the issues you had. I have been away for a long long time. I did not get the problem you had though. I am glad you solved it nevertheless.

However, could you post your problem in text and provide the solution on the forum for future references? I think people will benefit from it.

Player of the season. . . Lampard. . . Most consistent and has played in every match. . .even at 31.

@Dyabman.

Please don't join the league of those that think we don't need midfielders . . . The only midfielders we have now are Mikel and Essien. . Lamps will retire sooner than we thot. . . and the others should retire now. . . so we need to bring in fresh blood.

@Ibime.

Don't mind jare. . .  grin
You know I just like Diego. . . that's all. . I do like Gourcuff as well. . . I however think he needs to prove himself more. . . Dzagoev won't be bad as well. . heard Hiddink has recommended him to RA. . . Romours for now!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here! by nateevs(op): 2:02am On Mar 30, 2009
@Ibime

It does not matter if you hate Essien in DM. . . attack minded coaches Managers like Hiddink and LFS will always prefer to play Essien as DM over Mikel. . and please cool down on your words "nonsense formation" simply because you don't like it.

Can I point to a successful team in recent history that uses a playmaker? . . . . ManU! and who? . . Paul Scholes of course. . .

Maybe you sometimes mistaken my play-maker theory. He does not have to be your typical old-fashioned Okocha-like No. 10. . . but Paul stays in the middle of the pack. . . when he plays, he touches the ball more any other player. He's got vision, passes the ball like no other. . maybe Carrick comes close. . but Paul starts the attack many times. . .releases defense- splitting passes that send the Ronnies, Tevezes and Rooneys on rampage. . . doesn't join the attack like Lamps, always behind the attack line and tries to capitalize on rebounds from outside the box. . he had pace, could run with the ball and very defense minded.

Smaller wonder Sir Alex is trying to mould Anderson into that exact sort of player. . . . they don't play from the right or left in a 4-3-3. . . they will never do well. . . overall a play-making football style is very possible in the prem and can bring success.

In recent history, Madrid were successful with Zidane and Barca were successful with Ronaldinho. If Zidane was still active he will paly fine in the prem. . . I don't like to typify the Prem. No one thot your deep lying DM . .Maka style will work in the prem . . . well until Maka came.

Anything is possible.

Modric does not have to set the PL alight to play in our team . . We don't have to have 11 best players in our team to conquer the world. ManU did it with players like Wes Brown and Fletcher that won't even smell first 11 in Chelsea.

So Diego is cause of Bremen being mid-table? and because he plays in a mid-table team means he can't play for Chelsea. . ? I don't get it.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here! by nateevs(op): 9:17pm On Mar 29, 2009
@Ibime.

I did not rant about Deco. I did talk about Deco in the summer. I wanted other players. I love Deco as a player but I understand quite well his numerous inadequacies with regards to the prem. I always have and I still do.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here! by nateevs(op): 9:14pm On Mar 29, 2009
after clearing the air . .

@Dayo.

You've probably seen my opinion on Deco. Stoch is not a flair player, he is a pacy player. Q? We don't own that fella yet as far as I am concerned. I told Ibime about "THE BRIDGE CONSPIRACY" . . . He doesn't believe me.

I think we are trying to make Q look so rubbish with as few games as possible so that we can get him on a cheap from Inter. Look at it this way. What's the point bringing out the best in him? He turns into a fantastic player, the prem suits him he salvages our season. . It'l be difficult to let him go back. Inter might think they should let him be with us but not without us parting with £30m. . . It's only a few weeks away. . . . why not get him on the cheap doing whateva it takes?

@Lucia.

The play-maker thing has been discussed extensively on this thread. I have always been a fan of a dedicated mid-field-play-making fella that organizes things can start play, pass with his eyes closed, score long and short-range goals as well as take free kicks.

I really wanted Modric, I spoke about him a few times on here. Ibime feels he (modric), Robinho alike are too light-weight for the prem. I actually think what makes these type of player flourish in the prem is what happens around them when they have the ball. Simple.

@Ibime.

I know you are the objective type. . . Do you really think we can't have Lampard, decent wingers, and this "ninny" play-maker in a set-up like this . . ?

------------------------------------Essien----------------------------------------

            -------------Ninny----                ------Lampard-----------

  Creative Winger---------     Striker        -------Creative Winger------

I mean this is absolutely feasible in a classic 4-3-3. . . Lamps bombs forwards in his box-to-box style providing extra attacking presence. . . Ninny stays back waiting on loose balls, eyes open wide looking for the creative guys on the flanks, or the opportunity for a rebound. . play goes through him. . he feeds the forwards and  Lamps complements Ninny's role.

. . and when are we going to start dropping Lampard when we want to vary things? Lampard is 31. We don't have anyone coming up that is remotely close to his class. He has less than one very good season left in him. His fitness levels will carry him on for about 2 more Paul Scholes-like seasons after that and you think we should continue to build everything around him? I don't get the gist. . .

And stop saying the CL final proved we have the best midfield in the world. We have trashed this out many times before. We had only one shot on goal in the first half and that was the goal and if I remember well, we had only 4 shots the entire game. . when ManU could have scored 3 clear goals in the first 20mins. . . . that's no evidence of a good midfield.

We have the same team still and that's why we can't break down teams that park the bus and after LFS can't score more than 2 in a game.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here! by nateevs(op): 8:32pm On Mar 29, 2009
@Ibime.

Can you really really prove that I spent the whole of last summer talking about Deco? I talked VDV and Diego and you said they are not built for the prem. I broke the news about Deco's transfer on the forum . . . and these were my exact words. .

TOCFCWS

Chelsea can confirm they have signed Deco from Barcelona. . . .

OK let the discussion begin . . . . .

My opinion . . . I quite agree with a change of style of play, howeva, buying a 30 yrd-old does not make that happen . .
Having said that, we signed Anelka for £13m. . . £8m on Deco is not too much money to lose if turns out sour. . .

Opinions please. . .
Ok . . . What do you have to say now ?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here! by nateevs(op): 5:59pm On Mar 29, 2009
I spent the whole of Last summer talking about VDV and Diego Ribas. . . . Chelsea will be a completely different side with these two. We are too mechanical now. With Drogba, Malouda, Lampard, Essien offering about the same style of play and the only flair players being Joe and Kalou, it's hard to think of working out something magical when we need one.

Hence players like VDV, Diego Ribas, Marek Hamsik, will do us more good.
