You may be an Ikwerre man. If you understand the language very well.
Spain and Portugal speak similar language but different people. Ukraine and Poland, Malaysia and Indonesia, Denmark and Sweden including Finland, Urhobo and Isoko, Yorubas and Itshekiri and so on. What is wrong with you Igbos?
Ikwerres don't speak same dialect.
Port Harcourt Ikwerre dialects differ so much with Ikwerre LGA dialects. Emuoha speak a different Ikwerre dialect that may be difficult for you to pick.

Ikwere is not a tribe, but a sub-group of igbo.

Even as small as Abia is, they have different language in igbo. An ikwere man is igbo by tribe. He can choose not to identify with that as well.

What are you saying, Ikwere is igbo. The Ikwerre (natively known as Iwhuruọha) is one of the Igbo subgroups in Rivers State.

Tinubu will still proof your understanding WRONG again lol. grin

Mean while, no other region of Nigeria has enjoyed the juicy position of the Senate President more than the South East. See for yourself.

Senate Presidents of Nigeria:

Nnamdi Azikiwe (January 1, 1960 – October 1, 1960)
Dennis Osadebay (October 1, 1960 – October 1, 1963)
Nwafor Orizu (October 1, 1963 – January 15, 1966)
Joseph Wayas (October 1, 1979 – December 31, 1983)
Iyorchia Ayu (December 5, 1992 – November 1993)
Ameh Ebute (November 1993 – November 17, 1993)
Evan Enwerem (June 3, 1999 – November 18, 1999)
Chuba Okadigbo (November 18, 1999 – August 8, 2000)
Anyim Pius Anyim (August 8, 2000 – June 3, 2003)
Adolphus Wabara (June 3, 2003 – April 5, 2005)
Ken Nnamani (April 5, 2005 – June 5, 2007)
David Mark (June 5, 2007 – June 6, 2015)
Bukola Saraki (June 9, 2015 – June 9, 2019)
Ahmad Lawan (June 11, 2019 – June 13, 2023)
Godswill Akpabio (June 13, 2023)

FACT! grin

What are you yapping about.

I myself and many other people from south east was not interested or crying about not getting the senate president.

The ones that got it, how has that impacted us.

We are still saying the same thing but you thought you are making more sense.

South south getting it was well deserved.

Their ways are a thing of confusion truly. A people that will insult others, and when others retaliate, they start crying victimhood and bigotry. A people that claim their region is more developed than other regions, but run in droves out of that paradise to the other less developed region. A people that wail and mourn whenever good news arrives that doesn't involve them, or that doesn't favour their warped narratives and mentality. Really confusing (and confused) people indeed.

I am always marvel at this statement. It shows how dull you guys are. Naturally igbos are mostly into trade and commerce, so do you expect them to be in only one place to trade. Also which state is more develop with all these noise you guys make about lagos.
what special amenties does lagos provide? We pay for our light or use generator, healthcare is just as bad as any other state, road is not fantastic, education is just as any other state, we pay for our water. So tell me, what special thing is in lagos apart from being a commercial city to do business in?
As powerful as Europe was then, they still explore other continent, not even country.

Infact America today is as a result of people exploring other land.

Dont stay stagnant and think your village is everything.

Step into the world of Nigeria's diverse regions and tribes, where a captivating narrative unfolds. Amidst the aftermath of the last election and the distribution of executive positions, a peculiar phenomenon has caught my attention. While cries and grievances echo throughout the nation, it is the South-East, specifically the Igbo tribe, that stands out with their unwavering resilience and unspoken strength.

But let me enlighten those who fail to grasp the depth of this intriguing reality:

A rare quality is found within the people of the South-East, particularly the Igbo tribe. Regardless of circumstance, if presented with the same opportunity, they would champion the cause of the candidate they believe to be the most deserving. Such unwavering support for meritocracy defines their character.

Consider the mindset of an average person; faced with a choice, they would prefer a competent representative from any other region over an inept individual from the South-East. This preference arises not from bias, but rather from a collective aspiration for progress and effective leadership.

To those who express pity or concern, let it be known that the South-East has weathered countless storms throughout history. It is in their DNA to endure and overcome adversity. So, worry not about us, for we shall prevail. It is, perhaps, your own unease and insecurities that manifest through excessive worry.

Welcome to the digital age, where trends ignite and fade with the blink of an eye. Yet, the Igbo tribe consistently shines as a beacon of influence. While it is true that certain positions may have eluded them, rest assured that in the coming years, they will emerge as the subject of discussion once again. The choice lies with the nation: to allow them to breathe and flourish or perpetuate a never-ending cycle.

As the Igbo proverb goes, "Oji onye nala, ji onwe ya" - when you hold someone down, you are only restraining yourself. Nigeria must recognize that by suppressing any particular tribe or group, they inadvertently hinder their own progress. The Igbo people possess an indomitable spirit and resourcefulness that surpasses any other tribe. If in doubt, I implore you to seek answers and witness their resilience firsthand.

So, my dear friends, let us celebrate the unyielding spirit of the South-East and the Igbo tribe. They transcend mere political positions, embodying an essence that cannot be confined. With their unconquerable resilience, they rise above adversity, reminding us all that strength is found not in tears but in unwavering determination. Together, let us embrace the diversity that defines Nigeria, for it is in unity that we shall find true greatness.

I've said nothing in my quote to indicate that I'm Yoruba but I guess when an Igbo man's Ox gets gored the first person to suspect or to attack is the Yoruba since it's in the psychology of Alaigbo to regard the Yoruba race as the "evil mischievous rascallous bloodsucking demons" haha

Cowards don't build civilizations talkless of having more then a millennia-old Monarchy, old empires known across the world and a language with a global recognition & respect .....But in a system like Nigeria if your definition of "ibo bravery" includes matching a mostly rag tag bunch of armed men against an organized military then that's foolhardy...better be a coward than a meatball

And of course Ojukwu exemplified the "Ibo bravery" only for him to hightail it to CIV from Uli after "bravely" feeding 3 million of his folks needlessly to a meat-grinding machine .. if the Ibos were brave , Ojukwu should be hanged alongside his pretty Girlfriend..& his Lineage wiped clean to serve as a deterrent to coward leadership..he should be given a Mussolini-type treatment

Dying needlessly is the height of folly , better run & live to fight another day. Even in Johannesburg you'll see whites begging for a dollar so they can snort up Coco or pipe up crack, it doesn't mean the white race is a failure...mendicancy cuts across the human race

Question to ask oneself is what is the Political, economic & social prospect of my ethnic group as a whole & how can they forge a self-preserving path to have a reputable place in the future of mankind?

Opening up business in other people's lands & buying up high-end properties in non-igbo lands is to favour the individual Igbo, so he could live close to his business where he makes his money .. question is how does that help Alaigbo collectively ?

Although i so much admire & applaud the igbo apprenticeship system though..it's a potent self help program and it's working good and has improved the economic welfare of many Igbos..

But leadership is the key that sets a direction that a people must toe.

All i know is only cowards like the Yoruba makes the statement. Dont deny your tribe, its written all over you.

Today Nigeria is regarded as common wealth country by britain, go and ask britain or the american why they left their land to other people land.

You yorubas live in the prism of your delusion thinking only your region is developing. Apart from lagos, you guys cannot boast of any SW STATE, even the Oyo empire that was there before the british colonization. Very shameful.

Coward, we will all die one day, but dieing with a purpose is all there is to life.

The war was fought and we stood our ground, no sensible igbo has even regretted.

It is something that will be talked about long before you die and your forebearers die too.

The igbos will forever be known in the history of Nigeria and the future of Nigeria.

Every day, you see one thread or twitter trending on igbos, why do you think so?

We are formidable.

Final note:

Keep living in your hut and crying a river on how the igbos are doing this or that. Keep being envious, it will choke you up.

The word “Igbophobia” is a farce conjured by some (or all) Igbos to self-delude themselves into believing their failure is as a result of other people's conspiracy against their so-called "invincibility" or so-called "superiority" so as to psycho-manipulate their prey into self-guilt by playing the Victim card..

The moment you drop facts on them , they play victim & accuse you of hate or they use the old magic word..."Tribalism"

Nobody fears the Igbos, the Igbos are even afraid of themselves..can't even zap out Ipob or ESN on their own soil..sitting at home every money-day like ducks cos of ipob-fear..

This is 2023, that puerile sh*t don't work no more..

If someone like OBJ can lament about Igbophobia, I am sure illitrate like you will know better. There are many things you can call igbos but being a failure is not one of them. They have survive against all odds and also do better than other tribes in many areas.
We dont need to be feared and honestly it is you guys that whine most about the SP. How many igbos do you see chanting SP should go to east apart from these politician who is after their own interest.

I have lived in the SW and I can tell you when it comes to being a coward, the YORUBAS are the champions. They cower among themselves and live the life of servitude hoping to be blessed through begging up and down,

Atleast igbos have the mind to stand up and be a man by going to different places to find better life.

I spent my 2023 holiday in Abia state which lasted for two months January and February, what i saw with my eyes is different from what you guys always say here. Abia state has so many good roads even newly constructed ones, driving was like a fun no traffic no potholes i was really amazed with the level of development there.

The problem with people is they dont go out and swallow everything they see online. They even enjoy believing the lie.

Abia state is no different from other states that have same issues.

But I can tell you most villages in Abia state look better than many parts in Ogun.

Go to Abriba, Igbere and see road network and houses. You cant compare those ones to where I have been in Ogun especially it been close to Lagos.

Abia hopefully will advance but the outright painting it bad is what i cant understand.

90% of comments on this post are tribalistic. Why Igbo people full of anger and anguish. It is an act of immaturity and irrational when you continue to insult the whole tribe for the attitude of certain group of people in lagos. You people need to get sense and think straight. You people are the enemies of yourself. Yorubas still stand to be the most accommodating tribe in Nigeria.

Moroons like you dont see your people attacks. Talking about anger and anguish, the people who attack and wound other tribes because of voting are the ones with anger and anguish. A certain group of people who you support. Most accomodating my foot. The problem with many of you is that you dont go out of your hut. There are more northerners in the east than any state in SW except lagos, but you dont hear people telling them shit. Same goes with igbos in the North. But you guys greed and envy of igbos made you guys to always be shouting leave our land, we are accommodating, blah blah blah.

What does the accomodating even mean?

Is there a place that rhey give land for free in lagos or SW or what?

Stop using that word, is embarassing. I have rights to live anywhere in Nigeria. That is my constitutional right and telling me you are accomodating makes you sound arrogant and tribalistic

My main problem with most people from south-east Nigeria is Arrogancy. They never admit to be do anything wrong and also they don't call out their people practising this Tribalism.

We (Yorubas) are not all that great at all, but we admit wrongs. We know a lot of us like comfort zone. Yes, we know we can be tribal bigots by discriminating the Igbos or other tribes. Yes, we know we can be all Lot of things. we admit and collectively working on our wrongs.

You want them to admit what exactly?

If it’s about arrogancy then it’s the south west.

The former eastern part of the country wanted to get out of the contract of Nigeria in 1967, you said no and a civil war was fought. The SW supported the one Nigeria mantra and force the SE or eastern region to it with the North. Since then till now, no Igbo man or someone from the SE have been head of state or president. That’s more than 50 years. The arrogant yoruba since 1999 have been the president, vice president and also currently president Inec elect.

Then Igbos or SE people decide to play the one Nigeria by doing business in Nigeria like the constitution you lots force us to obey.

Still you arrogant fellow keep calling us visitors or immigrant or says yo accommodated us.
