The killing of a woman in Kano over statements she made that were alleged by some youths as being blasphemous has stirred up a conversation about religion and whether blasphemy is punishable by death. The woman known as Madam Bridget was killed by a mob in Kano after she was accused of making blasphemous statements even though as yet the exact nature of her words remain unknown. The killing has been condemned in almost all quarters but according to some posts on social media by some Facebook users, it seems some people were actually in support of the killing. The series of photos posted by a group on Facebook, depict various predominantly Northern users backing the move of the Kano youths and even admitting disappointment at Governor Ganduje of Kano state who had earlier condemned the killings. [s][/s]One thing that is so common now among the youths is that they blame the government for everything. For pete's sake, IKEDC is a private firm!! Can GTB, PWC, or Total staffers go on strike because they performed poorly in their company's performance appraisal? We need to change our ways of reaso[s][/s]ning. No serious investor would want to buy any of our refineries if they know they would be frustrated by silly unions like the Ajaokuta steel company issue. The major problem the country has is the citizens. IKEDC is a profit making organization and not a government agency. If you as a staff do not meet expected KPIs, then you should expect the worst. No room for inefficiency and ineffectiveness.[/quote]Trash. Was it not the same challenge that GEJ faced? Didn't APC and Buhari promise to arrest the situation? |

But Tonto, last time I checked you are a role model on that. Do you preach what you do?? |
Yhinkss:Yhinkss, with all due respect to you, if the president detests curruption and wants to nail those in the past administration who are guilty of it, tell me how this posture reconciles the millions of naira belonging to River State which Amaechi diverted to fund the same PMB's campaign. That fund would have been used to better the lives of impoverished people in Rivers. Are you sure we aren't in a situation of a kettle callind a pot black? |
We never voted you.. NEVER! You were imposed on us by your evil Master Theordore. Please be gone. Please return the mandate you stole from #AlexOtti. #freedomAtLast |

500 Nigerian Deportees: It’s A Lie, Only 48 Deported From The UK – Immigration The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has denied reports that 500 Nigerians were on Wednesday morning deported back to Nigeria from the United Kingdom, stressing that only 48 persons were actually deported. The Nigerian media space had been awash with the news, after the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported that 500 Nigerians were deported from the UK on Tuesday evening on a chartered plane which took off from the London Stansted Airport and landed around 6am at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. According to a spokesperson of the NIS, Mr. Ekpedeme King, the 48 Nigerians were deported for overstaying their visa validity period and other immigration-related offences. On the other hand, another spokesperson told The Punch that the 48 deportees had nothing to do with the 29,000 Nigerians the UK government is planning to deport back to Nigeria. http://www.theheraldng.com/500-nigerian-deportees-its-a-lie-only-48-deported-from-the-uk-immigration/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
