buhariDRIVER: been replaying my interviewing in my head. and I dont think I did that well Hello bro, Don't work yourself unnecessarily. I was reluctant to apply for the NNPC vacancy, as i thought it would be shared amongst the elite, in the usual Naija style. Lo and behold, I applied 2hours before the portal was closed. I didn't envisage I'd b invited for the CBT, only to get a mail invite. I saw many "ajebo-looking kids" alighting from different luxurious cars. In my head, I pictured how their well-connected parents would secure jobs for them in the corporation. I did my best that I could and went my way. Interview at the Towers with NNPC? Not in my wildest dreams (hey, mind you, I know I'm a brilliant young chap destined for greatness) but the godfathersim and corruption when it comes to juicy jobs like this killed my hope. I didn't bother thinking bout the next stage of the job, because even the CBT, i only write to fulfil all righteousness. On a fateful day, I saw an invite for interview! Eureka! God must have remembered me. I prepared to the best of my abilities and reported for interview on the 2nd. I did well in answering my questions on the day and showed my expertise in my field. but just like you, I'm not 100% certain because one of the panelist disagreed with me over a certain notion I hold about the corporation. My point is, many of us got to the stage without giving ourselves a chance. I want to say, keep hope alive. Just as most of us can't explain how God brought us this far, so we'd say when we receive our APL soon. cheers! PS: All errors really regretted. Sunday rice upfront of me while typing. You know the rest. |

I expect that before APLs are dispatched, the corporation releases the names of successful candidates either on their website or published in two national dailies. People should first of know if they are to expect letter or not, and not a case of just blindly waiting if a postman knocks your day. I expect this would happen. |

MuhMubRaj: I hail o. I did my interview on Monday, I was Slated for 7:00 am but I finished almost 12pm. The Panel seemed t nice to me, they all wanted to hear me talk except 1 man that was just attacking left and right. I kept my answers shot and direct because with my experience from other interviews too much talk can koba you. I was doing well so far. After the fifth Man finished with Me. There was silence for some minutes while they were taking notes. It was at this moment my village people entered the interview room, Fortunately or unfortunately it coincided with when the Oga of the Panel asked me If I had any question for them, I took a deep breath, Smiled and thank them for the opportunity and I asked directing the Panel oga. The " Ruga Scheme" a yes or a no. I noticed the surprise on all their faces even without looking, At this Point I was convinced My Village people Came along with a Costa Bus, another Minute of silence Followed then the Oga spoke, " well that don't have have anything to do with NNPC it is a political Something and It depends on the States that agree to it or not, Their Questions surprised me so I decided to Play the game with them, I honestly hope I get this Job But I no dey attach My Heart to am Because I am certain Allah will only give me the best and nothing but the best. I should be the most attacked o. panel 30 almost finished me with questions upon questions. kaaiii |

Education › Teen Girl Hits 8 A's, As Waec Releases 2018 Results by Nathweezy(op): 7:04pm On Jul 10, 2018*. Modified: 9:23pm On Jul 10, 2018 |
As reactions continue to trail the West African Examination Council (WAEC) results recently released by the examination body, in which less than 50% of the over 1.5 million candidates who sat for the exams had 5 credits (maths and english inclusive), teen sensation, Mayen Jonathan Akuabata made her parents and school proud by obtaining 8 A's and 1 B in the nine subjects she registered for. A student of Federal Government Academy, Suleja, she had finished her primary education in blistering fashion which earned her entry into the highly competitive school. She showed no signs of academic reluctance as she went on to produce the astonishing results which has drawn the attention of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Last year, a student from Enugu state obtained 9 A's, it is yet to be seen if anyone will match Mayen's record this year.
