Seun, why are you bringing this irrelevant issue up at this time.

The coup happened over 30 years ago and I remember vividly there were wild jubiliation all over the country after the coup.

I personally was happy that there was a coup at that point in time because the level of looting was the same as Jonathan's administration.

It's disheartening that people still support coup in

If sending militants to go guard oil facilities is what you mean by GEJ has created 800,000 jobs then foul.

Prof. Osinbajo is a man of God and cannot lie.
The sincerity of the Buhari Campaign Organisation is impressive. They could easily have said 5Million jobs but they applied restraint.

GMB 2015. integrity on a Platter.
Man of God cannot lie? That's not in the Bible perhaps it's written that way in another bible because the Bible says only God cannot lie. Can a true man of God dabble into Nigerian politics and still lay claim to the righteousness at the Cross? That's like jumping into a pool of palm oil with white garment and expect to come out clean - impossible. Even Osinbajo knows he has told so many lies already.

Ansell:
The famous Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka of Adoration Ministry Enugu at the cross over crusade 2014 yesterday 31st December, advised the Adoration crowd and indeed all christians not to vote for President Jonathan because according to Fr Mbaka, Nigeria is too big for president Jonathan to handle. We wrongly thought his name Goodluck will translate to Goodluck for Nigeria, not knowing he has nothing desirable to offer Nigeria. He highlighted economic mismanagement, institutionalised corruption, Insecurity and religious/tribal discord which have all increased so so much under Jonathan. Fr Mbaka showed so much pity for the Soldiers convicted for mutiny, laying curses on those top military Officials who poorly equip junior ones and force them to fight well equipped Insurgents like that. He concluded by saying that Jonathan has failed and it will be a top national disaster to re-elect him. And that people especially Indigbo should vote for other credible presidential candidates than President Jonathan without sentiments. Igbo people remain part of Nigeria and should work for the good of the country as far as Nigeria remains one.

Do you think the clergy has a point?
Mature comments are welcome.
@op, do you think a clergy who speaks against the leader is doing the right thing? Last time I checked, the Bible says pray for those in authority. I've heard about that man and I doubt he will stoop that low to go against what the Bible says.

Note that Buhari was head of that military board in those days. Therefore, with a phone call to military board, Buhari can get the certificates.
So, why is buhari afraid of presenting his certificates?
Certainly there's something fishy the general is hiding from Nigerians because the Bible says the righteous is as bold as a lion.

I wonder how some people cook up their ratings. The Dental hospital that is claimed to be built by Amaechi is a partnership, go there today and confirm. They don't go on strike and Rivers State govt doesn't do the employment. They just built the structure.

As for schools, he built only primary schools and the secondary schools he built are just seven in number which most are not complete and the secondary schools only admit 750 students in a session and being run with 800million a term, how is this good? So if we agree that he did well in the primary even though he is just doing the job of the LGAs, what happens when you graduate from primary school? No good secondary school to compliment the primary. Talking about the tertiary, he runs it like his private school.

He built health centres and abandoned the General Hospitals, the health centres can't even do a minor surgery. The hospital he awarded in his first tenure hasn't been completed till now and let's not forget that he awards each school with nothing less than 110 for each school not including the equipments for study and landscaping.

He must have done his best in his first tenure, but I don't think Amaechi deserves to be among the first three.
My brother, don't mind these propagandists. This rating is APC motivated to vindicate Amaechi. You know Rivers people have in recent times raised alarm of Amaechi using state money to fund APC. We know the game. They have forgotten that the Rivers people are the final judge who do the auditing themselves. For me, this rating is far from vindicating Amaechi as originally intended.

What are u saying?

Who should Fifa sacrifice 4 d sake of ribery.

ronaldo?
Messi? Or
manuel Neur, who majority few, tip 2 win it ahead of messi and ronaldo due 2 his exceptional form in the year under review.

Pls, dont sacrifice merit for favourism .

Let me ask u a question.,

U, as a manger of a worldclass club was asked 2 sign 2 world class players. U were given a transfer budget that can only sign two of either ronaldo, messi, ribery, manuel neur, neymar or gareth bale.

Assuming u dont know anything about there career outside 2014, and the only yardstick u are left with is there performance through out 2014

Tell me, who are the first 3 u will consider?
History tells me that FIFA didn't use to consider Champions league as a criterion for world best in world cup years, so Ronaldo has no business in that list. Check the record for world best in 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006. The winners in those years never won champions league but performed well at the world cup. Even a defender Canavaro won in 2006 when Ronaldinho won champions league. The records are there. This is world cup year. World cup is the highest level of football remember. If you're a footballer and you're asked to choose between winning the champions league and world cup, which of them would you choose?

OP, who do you think should have been omitted from the top three?
Permit me to disappoint you sir: Ronald should have been omitted this year because this is a world cup year and he didn't impress at the world cup. For example, Ronald De Lima who won FIFA's best in 2002 was out for a long period that year and only needed a Sterling performance at the Mundial to win it. In 1994, Romario won but remember his club, Barcelona lost in Champion league final 4 nil to AC Milan but his performance at the world cup was enough. In World Cup years, FIFA didn't use to consider champions league, so Ronaldo does not deserve to win it.

People who ask what the govt is doing about fighting corruption needs to understand that the best and sure way to do so is block all avenues that lead to corruption. Cutting fuel subsidy is a sure way to reduce corruption in that sector, it may hurt in the short run but eventually everything will balance out.
But as has been said the President must have to carry the labour unions and civil society organisations along in the implementation of this policy but I doubt the unions will see reasons for it and it will be 1st Jan 2012 all over again.

I don't see how the content of the thread matches with the title. Anyway, the problem is majorly from the Umbrella Camp. They have been propagating falsehood against the opposition and in favor of their Lords and masters in Wadatta Plazza, Aso Rock and their respective government houses. Whenever we bring the truth to the fore, they see it as an affront and rather than address issue, they result to insult. I am one of the people that insist that celebrating a Man like Akpabio variably means celebrating mediocrity. Akwa Ibomites are living in penury despite their huge allocation monthly. Instead of growth, infrastructure, economic improvement, job creation etc, we see few but expensive roads in capital city, stadium that has no impact on their economy and was opened with N1 billion, increased government spending to run its affairs, father christmas government dishing money to celebrities etc. Their young people are PA to another PA to another PA to another PA to a councillor, young girls are washing plates and doing the job of a househelp. Anyway, they seem happy with Akpabio, I wish them well.
Talking about insults, if there's any group of people that insult like APC members, that group must come from a different planet. Sometimes I've been forced to think insult is genetic on all APC members. Can you mention any state in Nigeria that there's no poverty? I don't speak for politicians because they don't care about me but only speak up to correct wrong impressions. From your point of view, Akpabio has not done anything good. Is it not what the op is preaching against?

Buhari Launches Presidential Campaign Fund

The former Head of State and one of the presidential aspirants seeking the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari has flagged- off an initiative to pull campaign fund from amongst his supporters in the country.

The aim of the initiative is to raise about N7 billion from an estimated 70 million party supporters and admirers who will be expected to contribute a minimum of N100 each.

Addressing the a group of young supporters under the aegis of Buhari Support Organisation (BSO), Buhari said he decided to buy into the initiative because of the in-built mechanism for ensuring accountability and transparency in its operations.

"What makes it worthy of praise is the fact that the initiative comes with its in-built mechanism for ensuring acceptability that is also transparency -friendly. If we preach accountability we should be able to practice it.

"What we are about to within the next few moments is the culmination of
painstaking effort and dedication and unquenchable zeal to make a difference to the future that lies before us, " he said

Such an old thread that u chose to dig up lipsrsealed

Well for the topic i don't blame my brothers and sisters that have chosen to go tribal in relation to r/ship

I am a victim of circumstance!!!
Back in school I was once free spirited and anti-tribalist, I was willing to mingle and learn from other tribes, I fell in love with an igbo guy and the r/ship got to marriage stage and his people said "God forbid their son marry an Akwaibom girl" they did everything humanly possible to put an end to the affair...had to advice myself b4 they make me a widow overnight.

Tribal bigot is Nigeria's number one enemy!!!
Well, I didn't dig it but saw it inadvertently and decided to deflate her bullae of ignorance. Silence in the face of outright blindness such as epitomized by Op is one of the reasons our society has become a playground where abnormalities have become norms. #saynotoignorance

I dont know if some of you have noticed it also, that its very common to see akwa ibom guys going after and dating their own girls (girls from akwa ibom or cross river) only. you hardly see them making advnaces to girls from other tribes. or is it a complex thing? maybe they are not confident enough to ask girls from other tribes out. We have enough fine fine Ibo, hausa, edo and yoruba girls that they can approach for a relationship, but they hardly do do. maybe they want a girl they can flow with (in their dialet, I guess)easily and also one that they can easily chance (manipulate) and treat anyhow. you know most of their girls are so cheap and tend to believe whatever a guy says. Maybe that's why akwa ibom guys dey rush after their akwa ibom girls only. and whenever they are together, come and see how they will be doing their romance in their local dialet/style. even when they go to a grocery store or cinema. they are like local lovers. blowing their langauge anyhow without any care in the world. the thing tire me o. they ought to spread out, and try mix with other girls and stop being tribalistic. that's just it!
By being expensive (not cheap), you expect them to be prostitute? It's not in their gene. Or do you mean a lady who is sincere, humble, decent, beautiful is cheap? No one who has travelled to Akwa Ibom and Cross River will support you unless he/she is biased. Op, have you ever traveled out of where you live? I strongly doubt. Former Akwa Ibom governor married from Carribean, Present governor, Akpabio marries Igbo lady. Former Cross River governor, Duke marries a Rivers state woman, current Cross River governor, Imoke marries Igbo woman. Wife of former Delta state governor, Ibori is a Calabar woman. Always do a good research before coming to a public forum to avert exposure of your ignorance of unimaginable magnitude.

Try any of these methods:

1. Try making a fun out of what she says.

2. Try making your presence now beautiful so that it does not make her remember the past.

3. Sit her down and talk sense into head that everyone has a past. Tell her that no one can change his past but the we have the power to make our presence and shape the future.

Any of these methods can change her forever. It may not be sudden but will change her over time.
