mznuez:next time you go to the toilet please take a whistle so that you can know which end to wipe afterwards. |
i get it. thanks man. but has anyone else had the same experience? after diagnosis how did you get it sorted? any grey areas? |
deaar friends, i need assistance from people who have had similar issues and solutions. i am about to purchase a 2003 landcruiser with an in line 6 cylinder engine which has a reputation for durability. however the seller just told me that in the morning when the engine is cold it starts after cranking the engine about 3 times (could be more) and that the engine doesnt rev ("raise" till after about 2 mins and it has warmed a bit.i am a bit worried about this issue since i dont have a good mechanic and i detest and completely distrust ladipo guys. i am getting a good deal and at the same time i dont want to "enter one chance". any suggestions on what could cause the cold hard start and non reving while cold? help appreciated. thanks |
almost everywhere on the island floods especially victoria island and lekki peninsula because they sit between the lagoon and the atlantic ocean. that road has not recieved attention because of the itedo community that is situated on the right side and surprisingly they succeeded in court to stop the government from demolishing their shanties. However that hardly affects the affluent residents of lekki phase 1 as they own suvs. vgc is worse, after a heavy downpour the entrance becomes a lake. infact to live on the island you need an suv. |
boliano:ok, but let me use this opportunity to complain to you. 2 years ago you posted a vehicle for sale. i called and booked an appointment for inspection. after calling to confirm that i was on my way i took the rigorous 3hr (plus traffic) journey from ajah to your shop only for the chap i spoke with to be unavailable and his phone not reachable. when he finally appeared 2hrs later neither the keys nor the vehicle papers where available. the gist was that someone pocketed them and went to abeokuta. i left and came the next day the vehicle refused to start. i was told it was it was a minor issue with the kick stater and that an auto electrician was on his way to fix it. my brother 3 hours later after having lunch and 2 beers in the canteen in the same compund with you i didnt see any auto electrician. furiously i asked if another electrician could not work on it. finally i was asked to come back 2 days later by then it would have been sorted out. when i came back as planned it was still the same story. so i just left and since then i have not bothered to open any of your posts. the chap i spoke to was a young man in his mid to late twenties with afro hair and beard. he was dark and slim and always carried a bag slung across his chest. |
like you have been advised. get a 4wd 4runner 03-06 toks for 2.2m or localy used for 1.5m. get a good one though. for a little higher you can get a landcruiser i6 (4500cc) with solid front and rear axles. it is rock solid for terrible roads as you wont have ball joint issues.also the straight 6 cylinder engine lives forever. both 4runner and landcruiser are like cockroaches. go anywhere and live very long.trust me i have owned both and i go off roading pretty regularly. |
Jigga,
how much last? |
Whatever car you are buying. Transportation will definitely stress the vehicle so it is best to get one in very good condition. I will advice you get a tokunbo 98/99 Sienna for about N1m |
I don't think so. Unless you want to spend all your earnings on repairs. For a sienna that will do that kind of work budget at least 700k. |
They all laughed at Christopher Columbus when he said the world was round. They all laughed when Edison recorded sound They all laughed at Hershey and his chocolate bar FORD and his LIZZY kept the laughers busy. That's how people are Keep laughing at her now. |
There are two types of cars...Mercedes Benz and the others. |
My brother, please remove that cheap air freshner from this sweet vehicle. The sweet aroma of the new leather is way better than that camphor. Thanks |
tai2:not always the case ,my cousin's banking experience in Nigeria helped him land a bank job when he emigrated to detroit. As regards women, unless your case is hopeless there are lots of lonely and uninhibited women in Europe and North America. If not for african culture and morals im sure Naija chicks would have gone haywire too |
But how can your friend wire money to someone you just met online like dat? I have bought cars on nairaland. My proceedure. 1. Call and negotiate 2. Inspect vehicle test drive and negotiate further 3 . inspect papers thoroughly 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 5. We proceed to bank for payment reason: sorry, the government cannot help you. I hope you find him and learn your lesson. |

patpeypey:my friend , be honest in your dealings. This car was definitely converted from right hand drive. Look at the hand (parking) brake. It's still on the right where the driver used to sit. |
Dont waste ur time. Its a scam |
Some people were surprised when Buhari won the election. Amaechi ruled via court vertdict. You never know who his drummer is. |
Hahaha who's got the last laugh now? |
I dnt understand why we always see the negative side of things. Why cant we reason on the brighter side. This could be the start of an international event. let someone try to beat the initial record. Longer distance in a shorter period. by the time a multinational starts sponsorship and offers mouth watering prizes everyone will shut up and buy their walking shoes. |
It's a scam site. nothing like shivaclub exists. Someone I know got scammed. |
