Wakanow dey mad at times, don't be surprised when u pay by 1am, after few minutes you will get a call from them that flight ticket has increased.

I read it in someone's thread about how it happened to him yet I still proceeded to book with waka, after few minutes dem call me o, say flight don add 20k, I go their site to confirm, still showing the initial price. So I insisted either they confirm my ticket or refund me, after like 7 hours, my ticked was confirmed

One thing abt wakanow is that they are legit but not straightforward.

Anyone trying to use them should think twice, cos those cheap tickets dey display are promo ticket & dey can never tell u.

I love the electrical field, also I wouldn't mind venturing into networking or programming/app developing field as well (Electrical background actually gives me that flexibility ). Lols.... am not saying they should go for my field, am only telling guys on there not just to lay low but get certifications in their chosen fields that can boost them.
@tunji.... am not a new person in safety cos have got some yrs of experience in it., that's my chosen path. What other certifications do u think I could go for other than my 3 ISOs 14001, 18001 and 9001 which is about 600k for the three and also going for NEBOSH diploma which is like 1m not to talk of other little ones like fire fighting etc. U asked a friend of mine for the ISO materials and he sent them to you... is it not to upgrade urself over there?
@ natty... u see that safety isnt cheap at all... For just the 4certs nah 1.6m., and it's not easy too.

you should read her writeup b/4 jumping to conclusion. the agent quoted #780k which I think is too much. while the salary is 2000D which also think is moderate for novice teacher

I know they pay alot for Teacher's but make sure you confirm how genuine the contract is b4 travelling because 780k is almost 8000aed monthly.
Earning almost 780k in UAE with free accomodation definitely makes you a King

Hello house please I need your candid advise.
Although I have a job here in Lagos but I'm keen on getting an employment visa in UAE with the intention of moving to either the US or Canada in future.
The issue is, I have contacted an agent through a friend who have offered a job in a school for a fee of 780k.. visa, ticket, accommodation all inclusive except feeding.
Salary is 2000usd as stated. He also mentioned that the employment is direct..
I will appreciate your advise here pls.

You are correct in all you said. Before UAE was a place to be but now it difficult for all nationals. But truth be told I don't know any who came here and had something in nigeria. Most come out of frustration.
Then again UAE dy pay many many people I know and even transition to USA is easier from UAE. To me let everyone put The Lord first in all things

How much does an agent charge for work visa? What's my best bet of getting there secured?

Thank you, now you just made a lot of sense, thank you again. Yes, the offer letter has break down for only transportation(1,200) and housing(3,600). But you do agree with me that a 2000 AED job also has these break down, I think the problem here is that you are still looking at the issue from the eyes of someone who is already familiar with Dubai, if I say to you "come to China to work and I will pay you 2000Y, 300 for accommodation, 400 for transportation", will you say because there is a break down you will just go? Or will you ask people if that is enough money to survive with?
