First of all, its Bride Price not Dowry, the latter is what a newly married lady takes to her new home as her contribution for the new family. It is predominant in India, where so much is attached to Dowry(gift from the family of the bride). Thanks |

Most often we lament at the policies of our government and their manner of implementation of same. We have been too comfy about our government policies. We have a deaf but talkative government that keeps reciting litany of promises while contesting for various political positions. The desperation to mount the sadle of leadership in the Country has seen politicians promise even what they cannot accomplish and what perhaps is not even within their power to accomplish. But the question is, what have we done as Nigerians to make Our Leaders/Government listen to our plights and cries? We are too incline to always say- i can't close my business for a day to march around for a protest. The French revolution, Orenje Revolution, even the American revolution are clear examples of country were the Citiens up and took their cries to the street, some will say that our political foundation and that of those Nations are not the same, yes, they are not, but if 5% of Nigerians(that is about the entire population of Ukraine) should take our march to the street and occupy the Street, the government will listen, even if the government won't, the World will, and when the World listens, one victory is achieved. Phone calls will ring at Aso Rock from various Head of States across the Globe asking what the situation is? Christene Amanpour recently has asked question about the appalling nature of electricity in the giant of Africa. The world is waiting for us to cry, to show that we are not too comfy with the situation of our country. Until we talk my fellow compatriots, we will continue to abuse democracy. |
I love TITANIC too, mostly d dinner part where Jack was expected to feel inferior amongs dignitaries bt he stood firm and defended himself against Rose's mother. Quite interesting scene.

I don't know if anything like this has come up before but sure i want to know what your favourite movie of all time is. Mine is -- To Kill A Mockingbird- A 1962 movie directed by Robert Mulligan, starring veteran actors like. 1. Gregory Peck. 2. John Megna. 3. Frank Overton. 4. Rosemary Murphy. Plot Synopsis. Atticus Finch, a white Lawyer during the American Depression- era Southern State of Alabama, defends a black man against an undeserved rape charge, and his kids against prejudice. Thrilling drama, crime, suspense and mystery. Lets hear yours...
