seunmsg:Freedom of association is not the issue here. No one is disputing the right of road workers to form a union. The problem is that NURTW does not operate like a normal trade union. A union exists to protect workers’ welfare, negotiate conditions of service, and operate within the law. NURTW, in practice, functions as a political enforcement arm and revenue collecting cartel, often using intimidation and violence. Comparing NURTW to NBA or NMA is ridiculous. Lawyers and doctors don’t forcibly take money from people, shut down cities, assault people, or openly challenge state authority. Rights under Section 40 do not cover criminality or lawlessness. So yes, road workers can form a union. But no union has a constitutional right to operate above the law or terrorize the public. That’s the real issue being discussed, not freedom of association. |
mascot87:They said they'll start charging senders as they've been doing recipients for a while now Recipients charges has been going on for over a year. Now both senders and recipients would be charged. |
Ironfaceman:I would have to disagree with you, cos from a practical and economic standpoint, it doesn’t really make sense. Lagos to Ogun is literally a stone’s throw. A flight on that route would barely have time to reach cruising altitude before beginning descent. Besides if you hear an airline is charging about 100k from Lagos to Abeokuta, you certainly wouldn't board. Reason being that the distance is short, and the road isn’t plagued by the kind of insecurity seen on northern routes, and there are already cheaper alternatives like road transport and rail. This means that, passengers would naturally choose buses or trains to save costs. Thus creating low demand and near empty flights, and operating an aircraft under those conditions would almost certainly result in losses for the airline. So realistically, that route wouldn’t be viable, because the economics and passenger behavior just don’t support it. |
Ironfaceman:Which airline would transport you from Lagos to Ogun? The best he can do is to charter a chopper. |
It's all over. Manutd failed to grab an easy 3 points against bottom placed wolves. |
Gooooooooooooal Dorgu makes it 2-1 to Manutd VAR is checking the goal for a possible offside. Check over : Verdict offside. |
Do people still send transport money to women in this era of Uber and Bolt? You literally just need to open the app, book a ride, and the driver will call her directly and pick her up. If she decides not to meet the driver, na she sabi. You lose nothing. Transferring cash for transport when both of you live in the same city is outdated and unnecessary. Technology has already solved that problem. |
princepee:Yea. That's because in most villages, food items move almost directly from the farm to the market. With minimal transportation, fewer middlemen, and very low overhead costs, prices remain relatively stable and affordable. Unlike Cities which operate very differently. By the time food reaches urban markets, additional costs have already been layered in. Transportation, fuel, storage, handling, market levies, and other operating expenses. Each step in that chain pushes prices higher. |
Sesko should have scored there. |
The second half is underway |
Gooal Wolves makes it 1-1 |
Goooooooooooooooooool. Zirkzee makes it 1-0 to Manutd |
Wolves seem to be playing better. Manutd had better wake up |
Why would I suffocate myself here in the name of shopping when jumia still exists? |
Angelfrost:Goan dash them draw na. We're flogging them terribly ![]() |
prinsam30:This game should be a walk in the park for Manutd |
Juliearth:Could you explain more about this gold business. And must I buy only from Abuja or kaduna? If you don't mind, I can send you a DM... |
Wao, congratulations! In Lagos the cheapest is 12k and na old layer. I noticed your daughter munching on a drumstick and just wanted to gently point out something important, out of concern. Kids under 5 usually don’t have strong enough teeth to properly grind meat before swallowing. Sometimes they end up swallowing it almost whole, which can be dangerous and lead to choking. I’ve read about sad cases where young children choked (and died) on meat because they couldn’t chew it well enough. To be safer, it’s better to smash or cut the meat into very small pieces before giving it to her. |
When thugs can assault peaceful protesters openly, under the watch and protection of the police, then the country has completely lost its moral standing. Peaceful protest is a basic democratic right. Once citizens are attacked for exercising it, while those meant to protect them look on, it's a clear indication that tyrants are the ones in the corridors of power. So the governor is OK with the kidnappings and killings going on in his state, is that what he's saying? Honestly Trump was right when he called this country a disgraced country. |
AngelSlay:Why would anyone use a hotel towel in the first place? I don't do that. Even if it's an emergency lodging. I'll just take my bath, rub cream and put on my boxers. Withing minutes my body would dry up. |
ndidibabe:Obviously that's why his club is currently battling to escape relegation. We need a more serious goal keeper |
It's all over. A well deserved win for Nigeria. Nigeria go top of the group with 6 points. |
ndidibabe:Chipper united of South Africa |
Nigeria should have made it 4-2 there. |
Nwabali. This guy eh. How. Can you jump up to catch the ball and miss? Na wa o |
There would be 7 minutes of added time for Nigeria to hang on to this lead. |
Like play like play this people will equalize us. |
