One of the histories of Lagos to maintain are: (1) When Akinola Aguda recommended that Lagos cease to be capital of Nigeria, loads of Yoruba in the federal civil service moved to Abuja. But the Igbos who were traders in Lagos remained in Lagos. These Igbos contributed taxes that were used to build Lagos. They also built houses all over Lagos. (2) Proceeds from crude oil from the Niger delta region built Lagos. Please don't distort the history of Lagos. |
