Food / Re: New Year: Who Can Help Me With How To Cook Fried Rice For My Kids by Ndipe(m): 10:32pm On Dec 29, 2023 |
Tell your kids to be grateful that they have food to eat in the challenging economic times in Nigeria where starving people will gladly swap position with them. Then stick with either preparing jollof or rice and stew for them and if they don't like it, so be it. What else? Tomorrow, they will demand for a limousine to drive them to school? |
Politics / Re: Ex-Delta Governor, Chief James Ibori Mourns Akeredolu, Na'abba by Ndipe(m): 7:50am On Dec 28, 2023 |
How are you sure all these mourners are genuine? You wrote that if he was poor, perhaps people wouldn't remember him, but because he was rich, that his why people are mourning him. So in essence, since money breeds influence and power, are you suggesting that one should acquire money so that when they die, people will mourn them? I disagree. Let it be from the heart and not because of money. StrongAlphMale: 1 Like |

Education / Re: He Was Sacked For Making Bad Comments On Report Cards by Ndipe(m): 11:04pm On Dec 24, 2023 |
In my grade 4 at the university of Calabar staff school, I missed school for about a month because my great grandmother passed on. When I returned, I had missed a portion of my tests much to the concerns of my mates who were asking, where were you, what happened? They probably wrote me off that I will fail because my report sheets was filled with blank. At the end of the term, I placed 19th out of 25. My aggregate score was 56 over 111. I passed ... barely. Teacher's comment was Does not show interest in class work. That rankled me. Following term, I placed 4th in class and got a very positive feedback on my reportsheet from the same teacher and she became one of my favorites. Nevertheless, I still question what prompted her to have written the initial review. Some of the teachers comment on the report sheets can be borderline mean, vicious and untrue. |

Career / Re: Is It Right To Tell Your Boss "Send Your Account Let Me Credit You For Xmas? by Ndipe(m): 12:11am On Dec 17, 2023 |
It's very disrespectful because it will appear as if you are telling your boss that you are richer than he is. To others, it may look as if you are trying to curry favor from him. Best is to use that money and buy food and donate it to any motherless home. PrinceOfLagos: |

Family / Re: Outrageous Traditional Marriage List In Akwa Ibom: Man Runs Away by Ndipe(m): 10:14pm On Dec 01, 2023 |
I am not justifying this bridal list, at the same time, the parents spend a lot of money in entertaining the guests at the ceremony and they also have to buy household items for their daughter on her journey to her new marital home and they are expensive. We call it "mkpo ndung ufok." |

Internationally, nobody ares if these musicians are Ibos or Yorubas or Ibibios etc, all what they know is that they are from Nigeria. Don't start a tribal war, infact this post is very petty. |

Never celebrate injustice because it favors you. Tomorrow, it might 'favor' another person. When MKO Abiola was robbed of his presidential mandate back in 1993, people protested this injustice. Would the same people come out now to celebrate this injustice today because it now favors them? Think about it. 1 Like |

Family / Re: Igbo Custom On Bride Price Wicked, Evil Ungodly, Says Ondo Court by Ndipe(m): 11:48pm On Oct 11, 2023 |
The audacity of the woman to change their children's last name to her new husband is the height of hypocrisy and very appalling. She consented to living with him and bore him children even though he didn't pay her bride-price. Yet, when she meets a new man decades later, she decides to change the children's last name under the excuse their father did not pay her bride-price. What a hypocrite. |
